Hey there mate, I was wondering what headers you have and if they would work on a supercharged L67 and what trans you are using because I would be interested in doing something similar to my 02 statesman. I did notice in one of the comments about there being a issue with the loom in the supercharged versions and it needing some coding, I was also just wondering how hard it would be to do. But anyway mate it looks great all the best to you.
Thanks heaps for the comment Michael thanks for watching. If you have a look at the Exhaust episode of this build, you will see what extractors they are. They are just eBay specials but did require some modification to fit. There is no reason why they will not work on an L67 as they are the same flange and sit in exactly the same location, whether they are supercharged or not. Supercharged versions, do you have a slightly different loom, but you can make a supercharge work on a non-supercharge Saloom. You need to modify some of the wiring though. always better though to get the correct wiring harness for the correct engine. Regardless, which way you go if you are changing engine, transmission, or both and you are changing the wiring and computer coding will always need to happen. Even if you are changing one computer with another computer from the same model of car with the same engine and transmission, you still need to program it.
Just off eBay mate. See the link below www.ebay.com.au/itm/363066891302?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0&ssspo=yPSm3OnqShO&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=hBXvBwm_Qyi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Technically, no. No gearbox should have whine unless it has straight cut gears (like a race gearbox). However, pretty much all getrags do whine. Very very common issue due to worn bearings
