Vyvgart For Myasthenia Gravis: A Pharmacist's Thoughts 

I've had my 2nd infusion of my 2nd cycle. The changes are REMARKABLE. Insurance covers it for me and the copay assistance is taking care of the deductible and copays until I hit out of pocket (which happens in the first infusion of the year. As far as headache - I've had a mild headache - nothing like a migraine and no where NEAR the IVIG headache (that would give me literal nightmares -being in a car accident and having my head caught in a steering wheel type nightmare).

Thank you so much for creating this video. My husband has been having MG for 10 years. Today was his first Vivgart IV treatment. fortunately, his insurance approved this treatment. We had no clue of the actual cost. Thank you for pointing out the side effects and statistics so we can be aware of any symptoms as he has other underlying health issues. We are hopeful this treatment plan works as he is getting progressively weaker. Thank you again.

i am on Cycle 1 just had infusion #3. have been tired after each one and headachy but not horrible. I just took off work for the rest of the day and slept. The difference on the 3rd infusion is i had this weird rippling twisting of my muscles that spread down both arms and was painful. I was paused, they checked me, spoke to my neurologist and then had her speak to me. I wanted to go ahead because i am feeling much better. I have generalized MG, i am having less swallowing issues, less chewing issues, i do feel better in terms of energy, i could stand in the shower for a few minutes for the first time in over a year. I am still seeing double, my side vision still isnt there. It is easier to turn my head and my neck is less weak. The increasing double vision makes me feel sick to my stomach. I am carrying a Sprite bottle of pickle juice to the next one to see if that helps with the muscle spasms. All in all, this has so far has been a blessing. i am praying this helps.

had my 4th infusion cycle 1. now. the nurses listened to me and agreed to slow the infusion from 1 hr to 1 hr 20 mins. i did not have the muscle pain then. i have had it since at least once a day. it can be intense and localized. There has been weather changes and i did get what i thought was the beginnings of a cold or infection, 2 days after and my symptoms returned and ramped up with the breathing issues to the point where i was considering going into the ER. i took cold medicine, slept another day and it seems to have leveled off again. overall, though, even with this, i am still on board to keep going, if the insurance will keep covering most of it. i feel human and not a weak lump of a sad person sitting on the porch watching the world go by. not perfect, still symptoms but so so so much better.

Switched from soliris to vyvgart eye problems came back which were under control w soliris

I am getting ready to move from IVIG to Vyvgart. I wish there was more information about how that change will take place. I am taking a ton of prednisone (50mg a day ) along with monthly Privigen infusion. I am starting to taper off the prednisone but I am guessing I will have to replace it with something as I switch from Privigen to Vyvgart. Thank you for this good youtube on the topic.

Has this medication been found to work with people with ocular myasthenia gravis?

How does Vyvgart compare to other agents used in the field with respect to effectiveness, ease of use, side effects and toxic effects? Would you consider it to be a rational combination drug?

Is it safe for pregnancy ?
