Hi there, watched your video and the Glucose Monitoring is what interests me. I am diabetic, and when a watch makes the claim that it can do Blood Glucose Monitoring, the NUMBERS displayed are actually the point ! If you blood sugar is too high, then its dangerous and over time highly destructive for your body. When people use the Test Strips you actually use real blood and you will be given a reading, which is valid for that moment in time. The whole idea is to keep your blood sugar down. You need to know the NUMBERS that is the point. You stated that you can watch the trends up and down, and you seem to think that is perfectly fine, well guess what, its NOT fine. To make this clearer, I just bought a smartwatch that made the same claims and when I tested it over a few days, my actual blood sugar was about 7.8 but the smart watch said 4.18 and over a few days the numbers never ever matched up, not even close. People watch these videos and think that they are buying a good product, and supported by an expert in many cases. Your video is meant to guide other people, and give an honest review about a product. So whether or not this smart watch is accurate I dont know, because I bought a different brand, but its highly likely that its another useless smartwatch that claims to do something when it doesnt really do a good job at all. Let me guess, just like most of them: There is a disclaimer in the manual telling that it is not a medical device, right? The only way for you to do an honest review is to use a diabetic monitor and test strips, and take a real test using real blood, and then use the smart watch to see the results, AND do it repeatedly over many days, many times. Not being nasty here, just pointing out the facts. There are about 4 other CGM systems that are accurate, that connect to a smartwatch, and they are all "subscription" based and expensive, because you need to change the sensors every few days, or couple of weeks or so... Hope this info helps others.

I don't think this technology is accurate yet and don't suggest anyone with health issues rely on these watches for anything. They are not medical devices. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zfG4wl_R6Zo.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dpVVxqphtQ0.html

I have to agree and have become sceptical seeing watches for $600.00 plus for an Apple and then $121.00 reduced from over $1,000 on ali express for no name brands made me even more sceptical butI I have to say I have found items on Amazon and then the exact same product on Ali express for half the price.Then again I have seen brand names on Ali express that cost more than Brand names on Amazon. Still though I am in two minds about these but as your test shows a huge difference in actual accuracy I think I will wait before investing .

Why don’t you test your sugar with a regular bgm and the watches at the same time so we see if the watches are any good.
@TheFilwud
@TheFilwud Год назад
I have, mine isn't. Not even slightly accurate. I only really wanted to see the trends on a graph but it doesn't even do that as far as I can tell.
@herrickinman9303
@herrickinman9303 Год назад
It's called testing your blood glucose, not testing "your sugar." A finger-stick BGM is testing the glucose concentration in a blood sample you provide. These smartwatches are measuring the concentration of glucose in your sweat, not in your blood. There's going to be a lag between the time the glucose in your sweat is affected by glucose in your blood. And even if there were no lag, there's still the issue of accuracy.

If the big name brands can't do blood glucose measurements at 250 plus then no one should even expect these cheap smartwatches to even be accurate or real measurements.

Thanks for looking into these Blood glucose watches, it looks like some of them have similar firmware, and may come from the same factory with different names on them, so you think the E400 is the most credible glucose readings, it is one of the best looking of the bunch. Again Thanks for the reviews, there are not many on this type of watch, I hope the tech matures quickly, I will wait.
@herrickinman9303
@herrickinman9303 Год назад
Depends on what you mean by "credible." The smartwatches are measuring the concentration of glucose in your sweat, not in your blood. No matter how good your smartwatch is, there's no getting around the biological fact that it takes 15-40 minutes for a change in the glucose concentration in your blood to be reflected in your sweat. Your smartwatch reading will ALWAYS lag behind your fingerstick reading. And even if your allow for the inevitable time lag, there's still the question of variance. An FDA-approved, properly calibrated fingerstick BGM may give readings that are off by +/- 20%. The most accurate fingerstick BGMs are accurate within +/- 6%.

I don’t care about the looks of the watch. Only the main glucose function and whether it is fairly accurate. What what I got was a bunch of information I didn’t need and This video didn’t just get to the point at all.

I love the look of this watch. But definitely want the red lights on the bottom as well as green. Also, I noticed when you checked sleep that it doesn't show REM. So out of a the Blood glucose watches, which has been your favorite and has worked very accurately (as much as it can at least lol)

Can you wear two or more watches at the same and compare glucose results?
@aarynunite
@aarynunite Год назад
Thanks for your review, however, how do you know it compares blood glucose fairly accurately without comparing it with something like the libre2 etc? I think you need to find someone that actually has diabetes and then compare. I am in Australia and have signed up to Vively which supplies a 2 week Libre 2 sensor and it is excellent, however, it is also very expensive and doesn't track heart, BP etc. I am not diabetic so this is all about fitness, improving my metabolism, and learning more about what " peak" looks like for my body, in other words, when to go hard and when to go slow.
@herrickinman9303
@herrickinman9303 Год назад
Even a regular finger-stick BGM needs to be calibrated from time to time, and many of those monitors are only accurate to within +/- 20%. I wonder if any of these Smartwatches that measure BG say even one little word about calibration in the instructions.

Have you ever checked the readings of any of the catagories? I've checked the blood pressure readings against my arm cuff readings (confirmed against the doctor's office unit) to find a significant difference. The instructions on any of the watch uses is very vague. Not a good job for those not familiar with all the tech savy. This is the age of retired baby-boomers needing explicite help for easy use. Thx for your response on setting the time. I found it after some exhausting searching.

I have no current plans to test it. But if enough people ask for that review I'll go buy one and review it. Better yet, that manufacturer will read these comments and send me one to review. This channel currently only generates enough revenue to buy a smartwatch every month or so and I do invest all revenue back into the channel, but I can't buy them all. So if enough of my viewers request a specific smartwatch review I'll go buy it and review it.
