I own a C208, I'm the only one in my family without a W210, none of them are rusted and we literally live off a mountain that I used to drive across in an E430 to get to my job at the DOT, where I then got in a Mack, and salted and pushed the snow off that same mountain, before driving back across to get home
@@razortreadway I had a w210 it was a fantastic driving machine....but it rusted in all sorts of strange places like nothing I have seen on a modern car. It broke my heart and I have seen a lot of other rusty w210s to know it wasn't a one off thing.
Amazing design work as always DPUK, been following you since the beginning of time and bought one of your 7.5mm masterpieces! Still going strong & using it to this day The ONLY thing I'm curious about is how rigid the exhaust is, have you ever thought of incorporating a flex joint at all into it? Even if it's just a small 2-4'' long piece to combat engine/trans flex? Would love to know your thoughts about that situation.
these early w210s seem too hold up a lot better then the face-lift cars with rust, that looks clean, remember these cars 10 plus years ago rotten with failed spring hangers and archs and wings falling apart, looks a impressive car that, goes well
Will this exhaust ever be offered in a straight through system without the resonator and muffler? I get what you mean about drone, but a straight through option would be nice for those of us who like headaches lol
Muy interesante el vídeo, y como siempre el buen trabajo qué haces , en las mejoras de estos motores. Puedes decirme si hay este kit para el motor 320 CDI año 2000
Home much Work Is it to swap the ecu pump on the Om606 in the W210 Bodys for a mechanical one (completely mechanical pump) ( including mechanical gas pedal etc.) ?
@DieselPumpUK Thoughts on the V8 OM629? Love your work, fascinating to watch, and inspiring my desire to build a G-Wagen. OM606 seems to be the boy, but, I like the idea of a V8 diesel!
stupid question but im not a mechanic, is the 2.5diesel non turbo om602 w124 good for turbo or it will blow up quick with one fitted (ofc changing air housing to aluminium one)i have plastic one that goes to metal snorkels.ty. A mechanic told me it will last short then the rings and hydraulic compensators will give out?..
Come on man, you KNOW that you don't get "wastegate" sounds. It's actually throttle closed induced back pressure/stalling compressor wheel/air flutter . I love the videos btw, highly original!
@@DieselPumpUK I thought that it was folklore about wastegate flutter. The noise you hear is the "wind" blowing back and forth across the compressor turbine after the throttle closes, due to like a rapid tidal type flow due to the shockwave/pressure wave caused by shutting off on boost. A bit like house pipes vibrating when the washing machine solonoid closes very fast. I used to love the works Quattros squeaking and fluttering flaming and banging in the good old days
@@davidmunroeprecisionengine6121 mate you might want to look into how a diesel engine works before telling people rubbish 🤣. Diesels don't have a throttle body. So there is no need for a blow off valve because there is never a pressure spike coming off throttle. He is also talking about a external waste gate. So it dumps the exhaust pre turbo directly to atmosphere and makes for a very loud epic exhaust note.
I daily drove 2.2cdi with stright pipe its really quiet when you want it to be, all the sound is around 2.5K rpm, in diesel cars its not annoying at all don't believe me try it
My W209 clk 270 CDI Would benefit from this kind of pipe! I’ve modded it with a w211 320cdi turbo. Bar n plate intercooler a Gail banks style conical turbo outlet ported inlet removed swirl flaps. And cat delete. I just need a top quality exhaust! Can you make me one??
@@robertreavley7145 yes, the w203 and 209 are nearly the Same. The lenght from Wheel to Wheel are the Same and the Rear is the w209 a Little Bit longer
@@lRecklessGamer thank you again mate for your help on this! I’ve not had it remapped yet due to the standard pipe! All the emissions equipment is removed so after 1 minute it goes into limp due to the EGR not connected. Once the remap is done it will hopefully be putting down 270-80. At the wheels! Would love one of these 600hp motors for it!! One day once I’ve saved up enough money!!!
What could a do way my 2015 sprinter. when fit a 606. Got a dpf cant be bothered arguing way pc dick heads. It’s had a engine swap. So going carefully open my dpf and put few metal tubes through the honey combe neatly weld back up. An have sensors back in and tack them in. So cant be removed easily. Were welds cant be seen top side. Basicly hope they dont wast there time on me. Cause there ones getting stopped a sensor whipped out and checked for being gutted van sieazed. Made to pay 3k plus for new dpf witch doubt van would like very mutch. Am not going gut mine just drill couple of holes rum some metal pipe so if they did break a weld they could see it not gutted. A get a wont be able to run big power am not after that. Just want be able to travel a bit camp wayout not needing a star machine if it breaks down 🤣
@@Mr330d yeah ats what am thinking but a get the mot tester argument. They are doing checks side of the road. Same people it dipped tanks looking for red diesel. Are poping out sonsors and checking dpf’s these days pain in the arse. Sprinter is making it easy for them were its located
