Here's a text version you can follow - smattymatty.ca/2021/01/24/w40k-inquisitor-warp-storm-psyker-build-guide-season-of-the-warp-surge/ **SEASONAL CHANGES** "Psyker Warp Anomalies now have chance to spawn every second, 10% chance in Imperiled (Yellow), and 20% chance in Unhinged(Red) state." "From now on, one target can only have 3 active Blessings (Psyker)" Psyker is going to play completely differently now, this build is gonna change tremendously. I'll eventually remake it. **some things I learned after uploading** TWO OF THE SAME PSALM CODES IN ONE ITEM WILL NOT STACK, SO multiple uncreator psalms in my belt and implant don't work. Instead, throw in one uncreator in each and whatever archetotech shard you prefer. BERSERKER TOKENS NO LONGER GIVE DAMAGE REDUCTION. instead, they give higher damage bonuses than before. Still worth using, but not nearly as powerful as it used to be.
"Psyker Strain Transfer (Debuff tree) passive was changed to give Warp heat on Kill instead on debuff apply" Does this break the build? I just started making it lol
Aw thank you :)) I've actually just started an assassin to try to get a build going, after that I'll definitely start on a crusader build if I still have the drive. I would love to get a build guide for all 4 classes before the season hits console, to give those guys some options, but realistically I'll probably get burnt out before then, but one day in the future there'll definitely be a crusader guide from me
Reading the patch notes, it looks like they did :( in-game it still says it has damage reduction, it has all of the old numbers still, that really confused me. Thanks for letting me know!
Garcias amigo! Just got this and grim Grim Dawn to play (probably getting the new Baldur's gate dark alliance and d2 remastered too) i made a psycker and tactical crusader that im working on but have no idea what im doing
Aside from feeding the pain in crit and castigation in debuffs and transfer strain, what else do you use to reduce warp heat in your build here (enchants?)? Or have they changed how you accumulate warp heat since you created this guide? At least the warp anomalies have become more frequent/deadly and annoying from my research.
yeah, They made those warp anomalies have a 10% chance to spawn every second when in the red now. the perk "Warp Attunement" that increases the chance for beneficial warp anomalies can be really good now. I'd switch glorious Invictus out for it. ALSO also, "Deny the Warp" Mastery can go on all of your blessings for a total 24% suprerme warp resist. You can also put on a warp heat reduction mastery on each of your blessings, maybe even take out a blessing entirely if you're really worried about being in the red.
@@MatHEWStorm I was wondering if deny the warp helps against the anomalies and self stustained damage from casting too much. I also considered abandoning all warp heat reduction in favor of more damage.
Its in the third category, divination. You might have not unlocked it yet, im not sure what the level requirement is, if you have some locked abilities use something else while you level :)
Just tried this build and depite having the passive which reduces heat on kills , i'm constantly at max heat which is a really bad thing. Perhaps it gets better once the gear starts to improve. Since the Dark Maw isn't available in the new season, Void brethren. Do you have any suggestion or is this build not viable ?.
hey the text guide has a "seasonal changes" section - smattymatty.ca/2021/01/24/w40k-inquisitor-warp-storm-psyker-build-guide-season-of-the-warp-surge/ - there are a lot of good relic enchants for damage
I just deal with being unhinged and move constantly. Take the bonus damage it allows and port everywhere. It's a frenetic playstyle but I find it rewarding. As long as you can avoid obstacles(I've switched to aetherwalker armor for that) and stay out of trouble you do absurd damage. That's not an exaggeration either. You hit crit numbers that I have never seen across all classes but assasins(haven't played one).
You can have 3 buffs on now, but being in red warp heat is really dangerous since the last patch. This build is very different now, the written version in the desc has some alternate options for gear
Level your Murder tarot ASAP. Get a Bleak Coil (Season of the Warp only) and Signum of Wisdom (or 2) if you can. Hoard all Meme Virus until 80+. Always run the highest level content you can do quickly. I usually do a +4-6, but your build and gearing will be different. Generally only full clear Purge missions, rush objective on anything else. Stack movespeed to minimize time between packs.
Samuel covered a lot of it. Also, intels with murder & other tarot cards are probably the quickest way to level in the early game, even better if you can rotate them in co-op groups
Hey I’m just getting back into this game since before prophecy came out. How do the psykers compare to tech adapts in the endgame? I’m trying to determine which class to main in this new season.
15:27 the radical tree is best for psykers, it gives some nice warp damage, but barely with it for the effort in getting morality points in my opinion. I never do the campaign more than I need to. personally, I think that morality system needs a rework
@@MatHEWStorm oh sorry i am blind :D But yeah thanks :) I just started having lvl 40 Psyker and on a random mission i was offered to chose a path and i want to finish the campaign so :) wanted to chose wisely :) Thanks ! And BIG UP for the content you pump out for this game :)
Only problem i have is the aether blade will get you stuck behind stuff. I lost a ordos mission because i got traped behind a immortal object. neocore needs to fix this bug. Its so annoying.
This was before the warp heat changes. There's a passive that reduces it on critical strike, but this build is barely viable after those changes, it still does good damage but you'll just die because you can't afford to stand still and channel
Maybe I'm missing something but I have no energy shield. Documentation on this game is so spotty. I also have 1000 fate at lvl 85 and no idea what to do with it after maxing the skill tree. (new to the game this month)
Fate can be used to buy DLC in the main menu, and also packs of items from the merchant if you're in a high level cabal No energy shield? You should have the energy shield leech mastery on maelstrom, and precognition on your off hand will give you max energy shield on cast I agree that documentstion on this game is pretty bad, there's so many updates that changed how things work (enrage, berserk, vulnerability) that haven't been updated in-game LOL
@@MatHEWStorm thanks that makes sense. I haven't applied the build yet, have just been playing with other skills and noticed I don't have an energy shield. Applied to a cabal for the first time last night so hopefully I have one today
@@bradpayne9506 You can reroll relics as many times as you want as long as you have the resources here's a guide to items - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-le83G_TiiTY.html
Am I right in thinking that this build is no longer possible (at least fully)? I got the game a few days ago and am trying to figure out if the Dark Maw can still be obtained.
It cannot be obtained. It wasn't completely necessary though, there are a lot of solid archeotech warp rods. Gonna look in depth in s few days and update that builds text version
I believe the Critical Strikes pasive tree has has apoint that reduces warp heat when you crit, and the debuff tree has a point that reduces warp heat when you apply a debuff, which vulnerability counts as. With those 2 I'm able to keep my warp heat out of the red as long as im hitting enemies
@@MatHEWStorm and also, i started playing as psyker and jsut went to look for builds after i hit lvl 35 - stumbled upon this one, had a laugh - my build was nearly the same, except that i swapped the constrict with those fire skill which lets you have a nice dmg aura around you and gaining even more dmg. warpheat is no real issue here. im always at red, using a perk which gives me more dmg in red, and i just love all those warp skills plopping up. except the chaos-symbol-bomb, everything is well seeable and dodgeable :D
It's very disappointing that this game still runs so poorly. Seems it has to pause, to add up all the damage in large battles. You'll see the game delay alot, especially when you charge into crowds.
