Wagner Voice Comparison (CV: Shizuka Ishigami) | Under Night In-Birth II [SYS:Celes] 

She chilled out.
Wagner's lines gave me less headaches than the previous 3 characters, how nice of her.
The console era UNIST additions definitely came out with a surprising amount of development, relative to the rest of the cast at least, as well as a fair bit of anticipation before their release. Wagner, along with Enkidu, were characters who were foreshadowed since UNIEL with the former being teased in Chaos' Arcade ending while Enkidu showed up alongside Uzuki. Wagner is also a character with multiple story-beats involving her perceived rivalry with Orie and being the target of Gordeau's resentment, both of which seemed to have reached their conclusions by the end of UNI2's arcade modes.
Wagner in particular seems to have chilled out THE MOST compared to everyone in the cast as her environment has changed from a preppy all-girls private academy to Hyde's highschool and she also has the suspect unique intro with Hyde that's just begging to be elaborated on. She doesn't seem to have much else to say about her fellow students like Seth, Tsurugi, and Carmine though. Plus she most likely suffered defeat against Londrekia, which raises more questions as to why her Aegis wasn't returned to her to stop Kuon. Maybe this is the reason she sounds a lot less motivated to follow through with the plan to stop Kuon or die trying. There's definitely some more bite and bass to her older lines, with a lot more strength in particular lines like in her 5[C], 236C, 214[X], and her particular 22A buff line going "tsurugi yo". Characters losing that particular cadence isn't anything new though. I think her old IWEXS line is better while the new IW take is superior. I also like her rerecorded line for one of her stomps, it actually sounds like she's taunting you.
Shizuka Ishigami wasn't voicing too many major characters but her role as Wagner was around the time she became more known. Her voice has that slightly tomboyish bite to it as portrayed by Wagner but a lot of her roles before that didn't use it. At some point though her voice roles started recognizing just how deep her voice could get and the most popular example of that right now would be Saori from Blue Archive. Wouldn't you know it, she was also the voice of young Bruno Buccellati in his flashback sequence with his father. Slightly less known fact, Shizuka Ishigami also has some light experience voicing 18+ content as well, which would make her the 3rd to do so next to Ayumi Fujimura and Hatsumi Takada's Hilda among the UNI cast.
