Providing beautiful scenery, varied freight and trains working hard up the hill, there aren’t many better places for a bit of trainspotting.

Enjoyed your new video, the one thing was Evening Star, in my fireman time I did manage to fire the steam name of that name.Kind Regards

Thanks a lot Ramon, that’s one hell of a feather in the cap to get the last. I believe this was the last 66 built, hence the name in homage to the steamer.

Yep, enjoyed and liked again Luke! Funnily enough was wondering just last week if 66723 was still painted up as Chinook - I last saw it at a RAF Odiham families day not long after it had been named - GBRF took it there on a lowloader! 🙂Have to say a single 66 looks to struggle on the Drax trains! Great video again!

Thanks a lot Keith, that must have been a sight to behold! What an undertaking to get it over there. They definitely struggle on the hills up, I guess it must be worth it to be able to fly down the other side at 75 instead of 60.

Nuclear flask wagons when loaded with flasks en route to and from submarine base in Plymouth are accompanied by a couple of DRS coaches containing armed guards to protect the convoy, its always double headed (or top and tailed). Nowadays will be Class 68’s/88’s.

The wagons 66427 is hauling or used between Japan, Barrow Docks &, Sellafield transporting nuclear waste. They travel between Japan & Barrow Docks on ships, before being unloaded at Barrow Docks then they move onwards to Sellafield. These wagons will be off repair and heading back to Sellafield.
