Dope video bro. I agree with you. Clipper companies and barbers are getting caught up in the hype and forgetting about real functionality. Also, Everybody's preference is different. We have to get back to mastering our tools. We are the artist. ✊🏾
Bought the clipper from China after seeing this video. I am not a barber but I got two boys and myself and we like haircuts. So I got a few clippers: Whalh, Remmington, etc. Now I have this great Surker clipper that is super efficient and beautiful. It made a huge difference. I love it!! Thanks
2 speeds are for bulk cutting and detailing. The fastest speed is to get the hair out the way, the slower speed is for detailing and finishing up a fade mostly
Been using these surker clippers for a few months now, I went for a more budget approach for my first kit. They’re light weight and don’t have a lot of trouble cutting course hair. They aren’t zero gapped stock and do not come with a zero gapping tool but you can do it yourself. Took me a bit of practice to get it down. The battery holds up nice. I don’t know how many heads you can cut on a full charged wahl but I think i can do about 4 or 5 before it goes empty. I never let it go beneath 30%, I’m still a beginner so I usually get to cut about 2-3 heads in day. Chaging time is nice too. I do have issues with the lever and the power button. They’re not as high quality as wahl or andis clippers. I just disasembled the surker to check the on/off button from the inside and I managed to solve the issue; sometimes it wouldn’t turn on and needs a bit of fiddling to get it to turn on. The mechanism didn’t click in place sometimes. The lever has some play when closing up. Not a big dealbreaker for me because of the price. I might replace the lever with a wahl one. I might also switch the blade to a wahl one but I’m curious about the RPM and the engine power but ive seen some mods and read good things.
Just checked the price on amazon and they raised to price to $50 lol I better grab them while i can Sidenote: I've been also looking into another brand called Bestbong on amazon idk if you've heard of it what you think about those clippers but they look just like the designers as well and they work with walls blades and guards as well
Good morning Shy the barber and Ozgur Uz. although I'm not a licensed Barber I am a certified CNC machinist manual machinist and tinkerer and I've been cutting hair for over 40 years. I've been waiting on a review for the Surker cordless hair clippers and I appreciate it Shy that you put one out here. it doesn't bother me that they are made in China because most everything in the world nowadays is made in China. I like giving my honest opinion on products and especially the quality of the product. I will be going out very shortly and ordering me a pair of these Surkers and I will give you my honest opinion once I've used them for a minute Once again I want to say thank you and God bless my name is Willie b good from Northwestern Pennsylvania. It's a bonus that they come with the ceramic cutting blade
That's great to hear and it's a plus that you're from PA ...I would love to hear about your experience with them I want to do more videos so if you have any suggestions feel free to let me know
Shy...I just picked these clippers up ( Gotem for 26$ @ Amazon they were 30% off)and the thing that impressed me the most is how light they are and how smooth they cut. Wahl premium and color guards work on them also. Seems like a winner so far. If i dont drop them and they last they might be a winner. Peace
They are a decent clipper but one flaw I wish they would correct is giving you more depth with the fade lever it's only goes from about triple zero to a half
@@williebgoodtoot hey, are rhe still working? I consider buying clipper for once a week use (cutting my own hair). Are they reliable or I should buy Wahl?
I bought 2 of these an replace the blade with Andis Master and phat master blade.. using the Philthy blends bracket really impressed.. smoothhhhhh riding.. 💯
Real official video. I've been looking 4 a real barber to give a review on them. Mine in the mail!! For that ticket!! I need 2 know bout the blades!! Can a Wahl blade fix
Roscoe Sanchez thank you... yes the Wahl blade will fit but if you use the original blade you can use the Wahl guard but they will be a little tight fit
Appreciate the info on this brand. I really have been battling with myself about trying them, or just going with the brands I know. Your video really helped me decide to venture out to other brands.
Great video, got a set thanks. Hope the motor holds up over time. You need to do a hack on the groove if you switch out to Wahl blades that fit them. I clicked everything.
I just reaseaved my surker model k7s I'm barber 25 years . Just got today not used yet . To be honest I broke my tention spring on my old magic clip and I got these to replace the spring because I can't find that part anywhere else. They feel good are hevey duty clippers and 25 euros pea nuts 😜 Yes they best for beginners defo but I just need to replace the spring for old clippers So I won't be using them
Also having clipper that don't need charging every other haircut and also s reminder of needing to oil is a nice touch to but gamma plus ergo m8 killing it.. I'm getting the transparent clear green case see though for wahl clipper and transparent green guards 😋
I like the surker foil razor. Their cheaper and cut well. I use the side burn clipper attachment to cut the hair down. Then I use the shaver. Guest what, no razor bump. However, one must use the sideburn blade first. If this is not done, razor bumps can develop. I also have the same ones you have. There great. I use them for personal use. I'm not a barber
Good point Bro you took back to the originality aspect of the art of cutting hair. A lot of these online barber got a gang of clippers and liners. I find myself now looking at there finish product and wanting to go get a pair of masters, fast feeds and seniors. But really I just cut my own hair and my sons hair. That save me about 1200.00 a yr real talk. What would you recommend for home cutting aint doing no fading really jus chopping it down even all over and hitting with my t liner with the gtx blade.
Mike Carter thanks 🙏🏾 even though I’ve been cuttin for this long I still try to learn new styles and techniques but there can be no growth if everyone is doing the same thing. As for your situation I’d recommend buying a pair of clippers that will last, don’t run with the fad simply because you’re not making your money back so it will be a waste seeing as how clippers get discontinued quite often. Andis masters are good but after a few years you’ll have to tune them up. Wahl is another clipper that will last for years and all you will have to do is change the blades and to tune them up you’ll just have one screw to toy with. andis T outliner are the most popular liners. I haven’t had much experience with any wahl liners outside of the detailers which are good but not for heavy handed barbers due to the sharpness of the blade. I hope I helped you don’t hesitate to ask if you need any further suggestions or input on this issue.
Shy the barber thanks for the quick response I was leaning towards the masters or seniors what you know bout the fast feeds? I figure I drop 100.00 on some masters that's saves me 1100.00 a yr on hair cuts.
My advise: Buy a orginal german made Moser 1400 if you can get it. Ive seen reviews where this clippers lasted 20 years or more or even barbers who cut 40 clients and the clippers are still running.
My bad I was asking are the surkers good money? I went off before cuzzo when u talked about the babyliss trimmers lol I don't follow babyliss cuz Conair owns them...they could made of gold and diamonds I wouldn't buy anything from babyliss ever
@@shythebarber just can't get on that band wagon...if Andis wahl and the other big boy brands were sending out machines zero gapped with the princess treatment ppl would be back on there shit again...
Love the vid buddy .. I'm a junior and I have tge andis Pro, wahl super tapers cordless but I've just brought the surker k9s silver after looking over reviews 👌. Look good my friend . Have you had your hands on a pair of these yet and if so how are they for you ?? 👈🤛
@@shythebarber hey 👋 .. sorry m8 I've not got Instagram but I can vouch that the k9s silvers are really good , especially for the price . I paid £37 from amazon and I'd buy another in a heart beat .. the wahl gurads fit snug , even the white after market wahl gurads snap on great although at first they seemed a little stiff .. in regards to the cut . Well I did a solid 40 mins with 80 percent still showing in the battery.. only thing I can say is they are slightly heavier than my andis pros and super tapers but all round id say try some out buddy 👍👍.. maybe drop a new vid with your review. You got a Subscriber right here 👌👌👈👈👈
Had some Andis xtr's some Wahl spitfires....point is I've had some obscure clippers as well. Like babyliss (Conair). But these surkers look legit help me out bro they look good but are they good?
they are good but i realized that they may not have the durability thats needed for long term use in a barbershop but possibly good for home use. i like the fact that you seem to know your history on some of these brands too..
@@shythebarber yeah I been cuttin since 15 I explored alot of different brands and machines and blades...the tried and tried always work but it's a mystery if the other shit works like the "brand-name" feel me
Have u tried to clean the surker yet? I tried cleaning my kemei clippers that look identical but don't cut no more. If you can show a video of how you clean those i n many others I imagine would appreciate it.
bryant49 if you're use to the name brand it will be a little awkward at first but imo getting use to different clippers is like developing a new style.. so let me know what you think of them
I actually love them I put a Wahl blade on em and they hit so nice love em. Wierd thing I got my in white & it's the animal/dog clipper but I'm sure u Kno there is no difference I can't put em down and I'm gonna buy em n black for the ceramic blade.
First speed is good for fading and blending because you don't need that much speed to blend and fast speed is good for bulk because bulk you like to take it fast and you need more power because is more and longer hair
So it’s been about two years since you bought those clippers. Do they still go strong to this day. Or did you have to buy another pair? I just bought me some Surker K7S and I wanna know if I get my moneys worth thanks.
manuel lopez wear and tear will happen to any thing keep that in mind. With that being said if you take care of them you should have them for a while I still have mine and they still work fine. I no longer use them because I like to keep my clippers as new as possible simply because I get bored very easily.. adding to that I usually cut with about 3 different clippers per day to prolong wear and tear on my tools.
Shy the barber unfortunately no don’t own those surker clippers. Tried it with the corded wahl clippers using the babyliss ceramic blade but it didn’t work to well.
I switched the blades to my corded Wahl clippers, at first it was a little shaky but by the third fade I was use to them but I'll be switching them back because I like them better on the original clippers
Big brother I'm a retired veteran was talked in to baber school. By my friend who is my barber. He is mad because I have been showing him kemei 2850 & Surker 807B.
DJ Gemini504 yes it’s still plenty of barbers that believe the most expensive clippers are the best, they still don’t realize that babyless started off as an off brand as well.. I use serpent clippers and I’m no stranger to kemei.. I’ve been cutting for over 20yrs imo use what makes you feel comfortable in price and performance.
Brother 💪 THANKS 👊 For the info 👌 I was looking some new clippers and ran across these on Amazon So I said let me check RU-vid and see what they say about these clippers Ran across your channel and I'm glad I did because, Brother 😎 You explain and broke it down for me I appreciate your channel and expertease As they say 👇 👉Good Looking Out Thanks 👌 👏 👍 👊
Gordon Arnold hey thanks 🙏🏾 FYI another good clipper is the supent if you send me a dm on ig I’ll show you a pic so you know what I’m talking about @shythebarber
Yes you can use the wahl blade but as for another surker blade I'm not sure.. but the top brands are starting to come out with ceramic blades now as well
I found that if you put a wahl guard on them it will probably be a tight fit almost breakable. But you can put wahl blades on them.. it's preference. Hope that helped
Dante hey how are you? These can be used for professional use but as a barber that's just starting out I'd advise you to learn how to use the more standard clippers first before you get use to the off brands. At the same time stay flexible don't be scared too try new techniques and tools.
Dante I mainly use Wahl for fading because I like the finished look better than the other brands, the surker clipper is similar to the wahl so between the two it will come down to your adjustments and your personal style.
Great video man, Really. Quick question..how close can it cut to your skin ? I've had an andis Pm-3L,, for a long time and it almost scalping my head when using it.. can the surker does the same thing ? thx
#1 suggestion: KIKI NG-888. It advertises as: • 2000mah lithium battery • Approx 3-4 hours charge for approx. 3-4 hours cordless usage • Comes with a taperblade • USB charge possible • Has a LCD display for battery usage. • Can be zero gapped. Link: s.aliexpress.com/IvAJj2mu?fromSns=Copy to Clipboard #2 suggestion KEMEI KM-1400 Advertises as: • Corded power • Lockable taper lever 0.1-3.0mm in multiple clicks. • 3ft. cord. This classic looking model is like a copy of the German workhorse Moser 1400 including its starblade. Link: s.aliexpress.com/vUBVBNBV?fromSns=Kopiëren naar klembord #3 suggestion LILI ZM-705 This corded trimmer has 4 different detachable blades whereunder a zero overlap t-blade and a regular t-blade. Link: s.aliexpress.com/rmI3MBve?fromSns=Copy to Clipboard There a few others, but first get a look at these. Message me your adress for sending you the KM-1400.
Lol sorry for the delay I've been busy but the #1 reminds me of the wahl designers mixed with the surker if the power is there then that could possibly be a dope clipper, I'd have to see it in action.. #2 you said was like a old school German clipper? The body style is different again if the power is there then I think that would be a fun clipper to learn and toy with...#3 at first glance I wasn't too excited about them because going from the photo it don't give me that "I can get a sharp line feel" but then I scrolled down and read the features 😱 hell yeah if those blades can be zero gapped with the power then that clipper needs to be americanized.
Shy the barber what has exited me about the #1 clipper is the battery duration they advertise. It has thoug not the two speed of the Surker and the lever has no notches as far as i remember. The following is what I think and please let me know what you think about it: If this #1 clipper has some power and the duration is as advertized about 3-4 hours, i would consider a inside body swap with the Surker. That is transfer the power unit of the Kiki to the two speed Surker, and get maybe a monster clipper and rebrand it "Shy's Surker" aka "Double S" and lance it in the barber underworld for some cash. As for #2 the classic German clipper i ment is this German brand Moser 1400 clippers: www.amazon.com/MOSER-Classic-Professional-Clipper-Trimmer/dp/B01CCMGEBM. Now what im so exited over this clipper is that it has a 7 step multi-click lockable taper lever that would give about a cut from 0,1mm to 3,0mm. As for #3 if its really about 6500rpm then i think it would depend on the quality of the blades. I think you should step out of the norm and stop Wahl, Andis and focus on the Chinese clippers market. BTW. Have you seen this Surker trimmers: Surker USB Charging Hair Trimmer Professional High Quality Advanced Rechargeable Hair Clipper Hair Cut Machine for 1mm Shortest s.aliexpress.com/nMfQNfqI?fromSns=Kopiëren naar klembord Now its battery operated, but i think maybe there is a way to swap it from AC to DC and boost it up. Its also sold as Kemei KM-5027 and costs about 15$ i think. PS: What your adress to send you the #2 model. Can you maybe videoreview it after usage.
I order the surker clippers and they came with the titanium blade instead of the ceramic blade. Can u link me to the surker clippers with the ceramic blade please
Arthur Kairo I can only partly agree with that seeing as I’m a professional myself. I used those clippers for almost 2 years which is close to the same life span as the major brands before they malfunction... keep in mind that I’m not referring to corded clippers I’m speaking solely on cordless clippers. FYI I still have them and they work fine, it all comes down to how you take care of your tools.
@@shythebarber yep the owner can prolong a little bit depends of the care, but I personally do not trust on cordless clipper, and less more in those emergents brands, but nice video anyway.
Arthur Kairo thanks 🙏🏾 .. I actually agree with you I be skeptical about the off brands but they doing a pretty good job lately for instance babyless and .50caliber
This video was done 2years ago so name a clipper that came out in 2008 with 2 speeds.. and if I asked that’s because up to that point I never owned a clipper with 2 speeds...... COME-ON ...... THINK BEFORE YOU BE AN ASSHOLE... gees!!!!
