I'm kiwi born/bred and raised with Tongan heritage.. I grew up knowing more Maori than Tongan until I hit high school. Always considered myself Maori and was called the Maori of the family haahaha anyway, I don't understand anything they're saying yet it makes me feel super happy, makes me laugh and feel cheerful! If I wasn't Tongan I know I would wanna be any ethnicity that's super cultural and hearty like us Maori and Pacific Islanders 😁❤️
Uai Langilala Fa'asolo I'm English and enthralled by the beauty of these happy people. I've watched many videos on RU-vid with the traditional songs of faraway lands. Beautiful! 💖
Rūruhi ana koroheke ana, pātaia ia e whia ngotau? To wareware Tū mai, e hine. Tū mai e hine ki te papa kanikani tuohu mai, māku koe e tū ngau atu e. Rūruhi ana koroheke ana, pātaia ia e whia ngotau? To wareware I tēnei po? I tēra po! Pikiwhara to taiaha he muramura. He muramura, he muramura. Pikiwhara to taiaha he muramura Soz I'm fluent but I'm not a master of Te reo Māori. This was what I heard anyways. Then they basically just start freestyling
@@hareteimanaehau25 In Hawaiian I ka lā i ka pō, Hoʻolohe ʻoe moa moa wale no! So yes i totally got it! You guys are so naughty and i love it! We truly are the same people! 'aloha no sistah!
omg we so need more of this in our lives, i already have experienced this kinda of Aroha engari, this atmosphere of laughter how we can be happy in a graceful way.. to be a Iwi and love each other as a whanau .. i miss laughter and whakawhanaungatanga kotahitanga. Te Ahua Nei
Wow I just seen "Timoti Karetu" (sitting next to bro playing the Ukulele) 1st seen him at the Aotearoa Maori Performing Arts Festival in Hawera (1994) An absolute maori legend!!!
He tahito ke te waiata nei hei whakakata tonu i a tatou. Te rongona atu o nga waiata titohia i enei ra he nawe, he torangapu te kaupapa. A enei waiata ngahau he mea whakamaamaa te wairua, whakputa mai te nanakia me te whakatoi.

Tumeke ahau whanau. What a waiata and awesome vibes. This is what i our culture. Family unting and coming togeather for special events tangi, hui, events and birthday. It is cool because everyone can catch up, sing waiata and enjoy each company and have lot of laugh by telling funny story or jokes. When i was a child, my whanau use to do this all the time. I soo missed this .... This video is a awesome example like straight up bro!! .. i can see that everyone is having fun.

Apirana Wilson this waiata is about ones sexual prowess or lack thereof... It's a cheeky song. That line roughly means 'All night long you'll scream for more'

Kia ora e te iwi Maori. Tena kotou katoa. How is this for irony. I am full Maori but my parents, who spoke te reo fluently decided that if I was to succeed in the white man's world I needed to meet him, and beat him, on his own turf. So I went to a pakeha school and, among other subjects, learned French. So I understand this person's comments easily but struggle with the language of my own people. However, I am able to communicate with our cousins in French Polynesia. But once tangata whenua, ALWAYS, tangata wgenua. Kia kaha toku iwi. Kia ora.
Kalega te whanaungatanga o ngaa Maaori, waiata 👀 ngahau censored hoki. Te hari koa o ta tatou whaanau Maaori. Priceless. #MA TE AHA E TE ITI, KO TE NONO KA HITTY😂crack up matua.
