And at that time focusing more on cores and threads which are more useful especially for more cpu demanding tasks so beefy gaming GPU wouldn't do crap. Coding, editing (video/photo) and music production are the primary use case of mac anyway
@@desi_bhai_ low PC req != low quality. Just because you shove ray tracing ultra 4k pigeon farts into it doesn't make it a good game. See the Gollum game, or Cyberpunk, etc... all half-baked messes. Also if you make a game with Unity (and probably Unreal aswell? maybe even Godot?) it automatically works on Mac, most the time maybe only keybinds need to be changed.
@@therealpeter2267 there is a reason why even studios have started using unreal 5, nothing makes environment that realistic, ofcourse indie games and other small artistic expression can be made in unity, but the ready player one feel can only be achieved by unreal 5. that's what will justify a 3500$ price, not some simple to run vr game that can be run on a 500$ pc and 200$ vr
STILL UNREAL ENGINE IS MUCH MORE ROBUST AND PROVIDES BETTER GAME QUALITY THAN UNITY. APPLE IS TRYING TO MAKE SOMETHING REALLY CARTOONISH AS IN THE SAMSUNG AR/VR.
don't shout, Unreal can probably make high quality graphics, but Unity usually has better support for AR/VR and it's way easier to make small apps in it. It can also run really well on low-end devices, Unreal has a higher minimum requirement. Because this headset is it's own device, and it needs to achieve high framerates at a high resolution Unity should handle it better
@therealpeter2267 Yeah, and that's why Unity lacks to provide photorealistic graphics for characters. Of course, Unity is lightweight and can be run on low-end devices, but companies like Apple aren't that poor enough to afford UE5 and UE devs who can make it much more performance efficient...... If an indie game studio (DRAMA STUDIO) can make a game such realistic that many people get confused by seeing an actual gameplay of UNRECORD game to a video shot on a phone, then hiring talented UE devs shouldn't be that much difficult for Apple... I thought Apple is a solution oriented company.........
@@mansishmahakul3052 I am talking about performance and end-user requirements, not workstation requirements. If you don't need realistic graphics, but cartoonish or semi-realistic you can pump out more from Unity than Unreal, URP is fast.
As a game developer, Unity and Unreal both have their strengths and weaknesses. Unreal is absolutely amazing when it comes to photorealistic models/textures, post-processing, and lighting. Unity, however, is far better for 2D and VR/AR games (Unreal 4 used to support 2D, but Unreal 5 now has no 2D templates, which is why Unity now gains the edge there). C# (the code used for Unity) is an easier coding system to use for those who want to learn how to code (and thus have a touch more freedom), but Unreal (which uses the more difficult C++) supports a visual scripting system called Blueprints that can be easier for some to understand the logic, at the expense of a little less freedom and a bit more streamlining. It all really depends on what type of game you're trying to make and what experience you're trying to go for. I've used both, and both are pretty damn decent considering they're both free-to-use.
Btw, even though epic put up a good point of high commission for small developers, even Google was taxing the same amount. In fact epic games themselves levy a 30% on their stores also epic games is far from a struggling indie development. They have the resources to give commission and commission should be levied on these big companies instead of the little guys
Last time I checked, Epic charged 12%, and this was the whole point of competing against Steam in favor of having developers support, and scoring exclusives.
Google is not forcing anyone to use Play Store unlike Apple. Epic still distributes Fortnite through Epic Game Store, Galaxy Store and it's website on Android and they don't need to pay a penny to google
@@vinaywadhwa99 how many 10 year olds are gonna be downloding from web? Even then, Google Play tags apps across your phone that may be harmful and epic is one of them indirectly leading weak hearted to exit.
The whole reality of the trial and of epic's *innocence* has been undermined by the fact that they have the power of almost every child on the planet and the viewing power they have on such media and gaming channels that cover the game and the support of android stans who will support Nazism if it meant shitting on apple
apple is so evil, its good they deserve this move from epic games for their greed. they will never be able to make good high end games without unreal engine, unity is only good for simple low quality games. maybe they try to build their own game engine, but no publications will shift to it because macs have almost no gamers, only if apple gives them huge sums to make such ports. and a new game engine won't be anywhere near unreal 5. as always apple will fail to make gamers shift to macs, they can target mobile gamers by porting mobile games, but in no way the pc and console markets will be their. who is going to shift from top tier high integration console hardware and cutting edge Nvidia graphics to mediocre apple hardware.
