Waiting in Vain for Justice: The Somali Bantu Community

Stealing land is a big problem in Somalia and Somaliland. It's happening all the time and the courts are full of these cases dragging on for years. Those without money, the most vulnerable, end up giving up as they can't pay the court fees. The court officials earn money and it's in their interest to drag the case on and on. People who steal the land also pay people as witnesses to take an oath in court that the land belongs to them knowing full it doesn't.

Bad propaganda. The lands/region were owned by the Rahanweyn Clan, this fellow grandfather took it illegally. The Rahanweyns took the land back which belonged to them.

So long as the name of the county is SOMALIA it is the land of ethnic somalis. For justice to happen, first change the name of the country! SomaBantia BantSomia How can two share fairly something named after only one party? Many Somali clans migrated to the land in the last 500years, while the river farmers were there before 1650 and this is confirmed in the historical records of the Omani slave traders. Dir like Biyomaal and Suure and Gaadsan are the original people of the land all other "so called " Somalis migrated their and learnt somali from the Dir. The Dir as nomad herders came and went and shared he land with hunter gathers Koy-san who followed wilder beast and buffalo migrations so came and went and river farmers who never moved away from their farms for thousands of years. The real permanent settlers of the land are the river farmers. My argument is that only Dir are the ethnic Somalis, other "so called" Somalis are invaders. Koy-san disappeared in the 1850s when the EU man came but the Dir-nomads and Bantu-farmers are the original people of the land. DirBantia Bantdiria "Somalia" Name needs to change, perhaps then the original river people while get the rights respected?

The robbed their lands at the same time some ignorant oppressors claim that they are not from Somalia when historically and present day is proven that they are the indigenous people in southern Somalia. Victim playing and grifting is profitable these days. Not saying this guy is lying but one thing I know is that the Somali Bantu in the west are influenced by the western Jareer with their endless winging and whining “wow me” attitude.
