I agree. I'm the type that loves affection, to me you tell someone you love them but you also show them. My husband's parents didnt show much affection and that was how he was to me. Her aggressiveness reminds him of his mother who he only received tough love. I think Waka is a softy for Charlie because that’s the softness he needed from Ms. Deb growing up. No shade, cuz I know that hurt, but because he’s tryna give it with no structure or boundaries, it creates chaos. And Charlie is merely being a teen, taking advantage of what comes easy. Is this an excuse? No. Should her behavior be condoned? Absolutely not. Maybe they all need individual therapy (including baby girl), and then come together as a unit for family therapy, so that everyone can be on the same page.

@Sundus Ali he was probably depressed before and then he cheated and made it worse because he had to experience almost losing her. And waka has to love her he could get with anybody else and they could make him look good. Waka loves Tammy but neither one of them knows how to be vulnerable and patient with one another. They’ve both had thing happen in there lives that made them build walls and close themselves off. But in ways Waka is growing and Tammy needs to work on thing to because she brushes him off sometimes and makes him feel like she doesn’t care. And if that’s the case she can divorce him but neither one of them will so they must love each other. And I can see Tammy is still hurt but she cares but she still hasn’t let go of all that hate she probably had for him and might even still have.

I don’t think waka should tell Charlie to lie to her mom and he shouldn’t undermine Tammy’s authority. You would think Deb would be supportive of Waka going to therapy especially since she lost a son to suicide. Deb shouldn’t pressure them to have a baby if neither of them are ready.

Looking from the previous episode.. Deb didn’t want him to seek individual counsel because she was scared of what would be discovered. She said herself she was not an affectionate person while raising him because she was so hell bent on being “strong.” In the end, the past is the past. But he is allowed to internalize those things. She wanted to make it seem like his problems only stemmed from the relationship and not necessarily him. Any person needs to get themselves right to be of any asset to another. A man wanting to seek therapy is honestly a step in the right direction. Sometimes you just need an unbiased opinion on things/challenges you’re going through and dealt with. It’s okay. We all have pain.

I don’t like when they (keep) asking. Asking once or even twice is fine. After they are told “no” or “not now” a couple of times, then it should be left alone. There are responsibilities that come with those babies, as we all know. So the grandparent can want a grandchild all day, but it’s their child that has to deal with the responsibilities.
