So the 4am thing I agree is not necessary for success. However, as someone who wakes up at 4:30, I have noticed benefits. I get up, go work out or run from 5am-6am. Get back home and this is the most important part.. I’m up and energized so I do laundry, do dishes, take out garbage, even read for 5-15 minutes. Then shower and head out to work at 7:15. I have a 6 year old and wife, and getting all that stuff out the way before getting home has been so incredible for managing my time. Now when I get home all I really have to do is get my work clothes ready, set coffee for next morning, and the rest of the time can be with my son and/or wife or just something for myself. Yesterday my son wanted to paint outside and play baseball. If I still had to try and squeeze in a run or gym session, and chores, etc at the end of the day I’d be “more likely” to not go. Basically, I get the “voluntary” things out the way first thing, which means I am less likely to not do them. Even if I get up at 7:00am, by the time I get home from work I’m still tired regardless. So getting up early has def helped
I'm a a 4.30 person. All the stuff I don't love doing I do 4.30 to 6.00. Then read, watch video etc. Leave for work at 7.00. Then get home at 6.00 after training. No cleaning, no cooking, no laundry, no house chores. Just proper relaxation.
Just signed off my contract for the Toronto Pro! Looking forward to seeing Iain at the show too!! really cool to share the stage with open bodybuilders. I'll hold my inner fan girl in.
I know it already. I’m personal friends with him. One time he was in 69 with his wife, when she came she pushed which lead to a loud wet toot. But when this god forsaken sound came out of her a full corn kernel flew directly onto his nose. Her being a freak told him to eat it but since he was in prep he didn’t. He said he would have if he wasn’t in prep though btw.
I used to wake up at 4am throughout my entire Senior Year of college (as an electrical engineering major) so I could go hit the gym with my little brother since he said he wanted to train with me. It's insane I did it given everything else going on but I loved spending that time with him 🤝
@Renso Alink It's the best honestly. I got my DL from 4.5 to 5.5 plates during that time frame and he witnessed me Bench my first 3 plates, and in return he didn't waste 3 years making sub optimal gains, he's bigger at 17 then I was at 19 lol! And stronger
@@achillesleon5545 thats awesome passing it down, they say brothers have to compete but a real win is seeing them do better than you and you are a part of that result!
That’s awesome man! Ever since my much needed divorce a couple months ago, I’ve been waking up at 4:45 every morning no alarm. Dont underestimate the weight of toxicity in a relationship, I guess is my message! Lol..
Love you brother fouad , thanks to all of you guys , we feel part of y’all and having a nice dudes hanging out time , specially for the ppl like me who have literally no friends to hand out with and spend all my time in the gym and work and at home preparing for the next contest … keep it up habibi , thanks a lot ❤
After John meadows passed away, I was kind of lost until I stumbled upon Mike. So nice to see Mike on here consistently. I owe alot of what works for me now to his videos.
I hope E-N just having to execute and let Matt handle the etc helps him get that “10%” pro’s sometimes gain that sets them a league above. His shapes V Tapered to the max and he’s a bodybuilder’s bodybuilder
Good conversation on success! People always seem to look for a perfect formula for everything. Weight loss, financial success, parenting, building muscle, killing a virus! Bottom line is there's hundred ways to skin a cat and many ways to create that success. Getting up at 4 a.m. certainly isn't one of my ways of finding it. I've been on evening shift for about 30 years because I can't stand getting up early to an alarm😂😂!
In regards to the question of being judged against a former look you've had, I think Hadi being rewarded for coming in fuller at the Olympia sums it up perfectly.
Iain is looking good! He will do well! Like usual. Keep hitting it hard and bringing something new. Rooting for you bro. I felt bad for you at the "O" Glad, but sorry you had to switch coaches. You deserve to be on point every single time. Maybe you should bring in the freak factor with fulness and dialed in conditioning. That's my opinion, and not come in depleted and on point conditioning. Your a mass monster, too, with good lines. It's my opinion, I'm not a professional, but I have lifted 25+ years. I'm 40, just a fan of this channel. Iain has the potential to be up there. he just needs the right people in his corner. I believe you do now. With Chris and Iain...Iain should have the right connections and people. It's time to kick some ass and come out like Jay cuttler did 2009. I'm just one of many that believe in you. Dig down and deep and surprise everyone. Just because Andrew and Sampson are here doesn't mean you can't still blow the gates open. You're just at the age where you can really start sculpting and putting on the mass you need to create the best v-tapper silhouette. You just got into your prime if not even there yet. Stay encouraged and be encouraged. You are already one of the best. Let's keep moving forward.
Nick wasn't 'punished' for his legs being smaller than they were, that's incidental. He was 'punished' because the lack of leg emphasised his weaker shape compared to Samson and Andrew.
Saying a erection is the equivalent to giving consent is like saying a women getting wet while being raped is also consent. Both is insane. Some body functions just aren’t fully controllable and you shouldn’t blame anyone for that
I like the point that was mentioned about waking up early does not mean it will make that person better instead what that person does from waking up early is what matters. The other point about how waking up seems to be the an "easy" challenge was different than what is put out about waking up early. How waking up early has been done by billionaires or disciplined people. That is true but you don't hear how that is an easy challenge. I mean for some that is the real challenge to make that choice of getting up from that comfort and into uncomfort when there is no reward like a check that comes from it
Bro you guys rating women would be a great segment😂 you should put up a post and ask for girls to send pics so you know they want to be rated and won’t get cancelled
About the discussion of waking up at 4AM. I feel like if you have work / scheduled stuff in the evening it makes it so you wanna go to sleep late. I feel like work and chores should be done in the first part of the day. It really sucks to finish work and then be like oh ok, gotta go sleep now, day is over.
Most people are more efficient in the mornings, which is why people get up at 4/5am. You guys are highly driven, but you need to think about it from the average lazy person. They don't do any work past 5pm. So if you go to bed 3 hours earlier, and wake up 3 hours earlier. Your still awake for the same amount of time, but now you have 3 extra hours before 5pm to be efficient.
I think Iain is right about the 4am thing. People usually wake up few hours before their work, just to get ready and to travel to it. But some people wake up several hours before work so they get more ready and have a better prep. The prep can be work related - like finishing yesterdays work or doing work related stuff so their actual work hours are easier. Shit like that. Some go jogging for an hour or some other exercise. That's where the 4am bullshit came. it's all relative really. You're still gonna work for 8 hours, still gonna sleep for 7 ideally, and you're still gonna have 9 hours to do everything else that you do in a day. To some people, waking up at 4am is better time management. That's it.
@@MHMHMHMHMHMHMHMH I mean yeah I like the dude he is so nice but he does that often even when he wants to drop à joke he does then looks away. I find that funny
I love Jose having beer after show! It's the first thing i have in my hand after i leave stage. Glad having someone on his level doing that shit as well because i got a lot of shit for that from people and had to tell a lot of people to just fouck off.
Big fan of the podcast. As someone that competes in Judo I can say that Ronda Rousey could tap all y’all out back to back in less than 5 minutes. Btw I used to work at Pizza Hut and the old pizza is bad.
Hey Fouad! Love your podcast! Personal trainer here. Regarding the quad involvement in a deadlift its dependent on how much you straighten your leg, the more bend in the knee, the more quad involvment. That's why a trap bar deadlift works the quads more, due to the angle of force and more knee bend at the start of the lift.
