Found the banner thing on my own, what takes it a step farther is that it's also free manpower if you have enough army prof.

22:44 Laith, your merchant is transferring all trade from Beijing to Yumen. Missing out on 2.51 ducats + trade efficiency. Also, adding EVERY province to a trade company is a BAD IDEA no matter where, because provinces in the trade company DO NOT benefit from the extra goods produced modifier from the trade company! Also, they lose all tax and manpower, and require more gov cap. Only provinces in the trade node that ARE NOT part of the trade company get the extra goods produced modifier. THE BEST method is a mix of states and a few individual provinces added to the trade company (if you control all provinces in the node). Only add provinces to the trade company that have centers of trade, and trade power modifiers like estuaries. Then upgrade those centers of trade, build market places/stock exchanges, and build the "Local trade power +4" trade company building. Do this with as few provinces as possible to get up to %50 trade power with the trade company, so you get the extra merchant. Then build the "local goods produced +0.30" trade company buildings. Then state all other provinces. This is the best possible way since, 1) you get the extra merchant 2) the most provinces get +X% goods produced modifier 3) Fully stated provinces get both +X% goods produced modifier, as well as production income from the extra goods produced. 4) You use the least amount of gov cap in this configuration 5) Provinces not in the trade company, but not in the state, still get the +X% goods produced modifier and add to the trade value collected in the node You make waaay more money from trade this way than just stating all provinces and especially more than adding all provinces to the trade company. This compounds after taking trade and economic ideas. (And then quantity ideas for the extra goods produced modifier policy).

The way I raze provinces is by going into the diplomatic screen -> selecting an un-cored province then go z (to raze), c (to confirm), x (to core) and c (to confirm again). Repeat as needed.

Gotta agree with you that the mandate is a major pain in the arse. Recently took it in my Dai Viet playthrough, went from 35% crownland to 5% just from the goddamn eunuchs, and then the struggle to maintain meritocracy. I understand that it's meant to be hard to be emperor of China and keep Ming in check, but taking the mandate as somebody else just seems like a general hassle and I'm not entirely sure what the reward is supposed to be since well.. you just get more damn work to maintain your nation.

I once found a bug where I could create infinite manpower with a horde nation I was playing with. Interestingly enough, it also involved banners. They seem to be broken.

Laith I know of a exploit that breaks the game so badly while allowing ironman with achievements, adding 1000s of dev, editing the ruler, switching religion, even making rulers immortal with 999 mana a month! its been in since like patch 1.23 and no matter how many times I report it, it's never fixed! there are now enough reinforce cost reduction buffs to get negative reinforcement cost, and there is no cap. losing men will give you money if you stack reinforcement cost reduction enough,

Hoping Next Patch they Buff Ottos early game, Timurid Vassals and Russia. Ottos struggling early game seems fairly common now, Timurids seem to do insane and I think Russia is quite weak. Also FYI if you just select a few states per trade node to trade company you get more money. Can easily get 100% goods produced modifier in a whole trade node dependent on the amount of Trade power in Trade companies, but it doesn't apply in Trade Company Provinces.

Otto domination mechanics are too complex for the engine to capitalize on. They only work if you're playing Otto. Same thing with Ming, and it's always been that way with Austria/HRE...you're also never likely to see Siam or any of the boss Indian/North West formables. If they could make that happen, then single player play may become a bit less boring.

One flavour thing that I noticed that I kinda dislike (I don't know if it's old or new) is that when you conquered Korean provinces they got the Chinese names. My guess is game assumes that if Jurchen/Manchu culture conquers Korea, they have become the Emperor of China already and so the Chineseshould names fit, but in this case you explicitly weren't Sinicized.

It is day 174 since I asked you to do the challenge with Croatia in VIC 3 but in one of the videos, a good person named Andraip (Thanks for all the help) said it has a few flaws so it's time to correct them. So when you start playing as Croatia you have 15 years to get your independence, after that you cannot ally, get in a defensive pact, and you cannot be under any kind of protection and you must rival these powers as soon as possible: Austria, Russia, Serbia, Montenegro, Ottomans, and all nations from the Italian boot. You also must embargo all those nations and cannot enter their custom union nor can they enter yours. You cannot be in an alliance with any of the top 10 nations, including a defensive pact custom union, or protectorate, but you can trade with them. AI must be put on the default settings in case it isn't. If you ally let's say Portugal, and later on they get into the top 10, you must break the alliance. You also must stay monarchy all the time. Form the Danubian state with Croatia following these rules. (FYI incase I didn't make it more specific, you cannot join anybody's custom union you must always at all times have your own market)
