Watch World Armwrestling League 504: go.br.live/intso60899 Main card: Allen Fisher vs. Jamie Sheldon Ryan Bowen vs. Alan Guerra Malin Kleinsmith vs. Fia Reisek Sylvain Perron vs. Matt Mask Dave Chaffee vs. Devon Larratt
Very cool match, I feel sorry for Alan Gerra very strong dude but obviously he didn't knew Ryan Bowen he wanted so badly to get the straps and he didn't learn from the 2 deadly matches third one was his dead, he was very hipped but not too focused.
Its important we remember Devon is injured on both arms elbows surgeries So its a miracle Devon can armwrestle in any way or form so people must give him some space. Kingsmove is part of armwrestling in the way dave and devon and michael todd does it its within the rules of armwrestling. Nomatter what people think of it. Devon won according to the rules in armwrestling even dave admitts devon won without any grudges they both are calm now war between them is ended let it stay so peaceful. I am not against kingsmove or Devon but still u are correct. I care how the way an armwrestler win . I am an armwrestler myself and these kinds of kingsmoves is not so pretty. No I want those I like to win in armwrestling to win but I care in what way its done as honest and fair as possible. However it is important to watch wal 504 in slowmotion as the 1 pin dave got were not fair he started before go see in slow motion and this were not called out by referee but it were called out by commentators of the match and they were right i rewatched it several times dave cheated his 1 pin. It also were nice to see devon actually held dave without a low kingsmove in first match but female referee made false call on pin for dave and stopped the match and then bart reviewed the camera in wal 504 and made it 0 vs 0 again and they started over dave vs devon and dave then false started. So dave were afraid of devon as he felt devon were stronger then ever thereof dave cheated with false start. after that kingsmoves games match became very ugly... but this is allowed according to the rules kingsmove ugly matches ... And in these rules devon won. usually devons kingsmove is more honest as vs toddzilla in that match devon had both shoulders above table. well done devon winning over dave.
commentators said right dave jump started in his 1 illegal pin see video in slowmotion and u see dave started before the go reff did not call this out...
Yes Devon won this one within the rules but it is important to note that people that complain about the 'kings move' have not seen how they arm wrestle in other parts of the world, such as Japan. Devon has arm wrestled in Japan by the way, he's more of an ambassador for the sport than people that think 'under the table' is so bad. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lJ_KqH5E2lc.html
I never knew anything about the world of arm wrestling until Juji and Tom had the good sense to have Devon on their channel. And now, a couple of months later I'm watching Devon vs Chaffee and feel as invested as if I'm watching any other sport. Crazy. Devon is a good natured guy that can get pretty fired up and never quits... plus he's funny af. He embodies the best of the Canadian fighting spirit and I'm proud to see him represent this country so perfectly.
Pinning him in the hook would have pissed chaffee off the most, but devon knew chaffee would have stuck a boot up his ass if he did that. So he kings moved the whole way.
@@haagenneldeberg6787 being under the table in a offensive or pinning position is legal. The reason devon didnt or more accurately couldn't go under was due to the fact that he was on defense pretty much the whole time.
@@ericliu8434 it doesnt matter how u do the kingsmove, it releases pressure on the muscle and puts it on the tendon and in my eyes thats bullshit and an easy way out of being outmuscled. Dave clearly was alot stronger then Devon so that was his only way of winning; using his frikking armtendon. such a gr8 technique isnt it...
Neil Pickup is awesome, please make him an official announcer!!! He had me cracking up when he said "he's more full of himself than a Russian doll" while talking about some guy during a previous event. Funny dude.....
Devon and Dave should have a TV show where they just travel around together and do random stuff...and of course talk trash and argue the whole time....it would be the best.
One of the greatest events I've ever seen. Amazing match ups, amazing wars. I'm a bit disappointed that Dave fouled out, wanted to see a proper war, but still, Neil Pickup as the commentator, Ryan's debut, Malin's and Mask's dominance, Jamie against the old dog, Devon's intensity, it was all great. Hyped for 505, press vs. side pressure, I hope it's gonna be a war.
@@nvmffs He was the best for decades. He has cemented his reputation as the Greatest Of All Time. He beat everyone Denis, pushkar, Devon, Jerry, Michael, Travis, Hutchings, Taras, Dave and many more. Though many of them have gotten stronger, John was on his last legs against those guys. He said he had no intentions to keep pulling into the 2000's and still beat top pullers then. If he wanted to he could pull the senior class and destroy everyone in a row. Even 220 class he could do a lot of damage if he fixed his shoulder. Time beat John, time beats everyone.
@@rileyneufeld7001 He was pretty good but he is no GOAT. He did cheat vs Michael Todd by lifting his elbow and conspiring to have M.Todd gassed out at the final. A GOAT doesn't do that. Brzenk got beat by Devon, not by time. In 2006 he was still in his prime and got decidedly dominated. That was the end of his "era". I'm not sure if you know MMA's history but they had their own Brzenk back there. The Gracies. They were the pioneers of that sport and dominated it for a long time but their era was over when everyone started getting better and stronger. Brzenk was the same - he was just in the right place at the right time. The "on his last legs" argument doesnt' hold much water when we have guys well into their 60's and 70's still going strong. I'm not sure about the senior class either. Richard Lupkes might actually flash him right now. Unlike Brzenk some people are still undefeated. Denis for example. He seems o be the true GOAT of this sport whether he gets the recognition he deserves or not. I hope he recovers soon and becomes undisputed right arm champion too.
One major difference...devon may got under the table but never had his elbow off the pad...not once....now go back to todd's fight with devon and see what happened...at least now the judges watch replays cause most off the times they got sh*t calls
And chaffee had his elbow off at one point too, probably from Todd's coaching. Todd's garbage. He could be loved if he could do more than sit off the table.
The reason for shit calls is that being there and watching from a screen is different, in real world situation fouls happens faster than a blink of an eye, you can only clearly see it on replay on a screen.
@@lossantoscity3249 I understand that thats why they should watch replays from the start before making a decision..Oh well its a sport that is still developing so lets hope itll keep getting better
Ryan and Devon, guys, thank you so much for this great battles. It was pleasure to watch. What a heart and fire! Amazing. Big respect and greetings from Serbia.
Devon could never beat him straight on, not even in his prime, he knows Dave is much stronger, so he needed to take away that power and he did that very well.
@@milanbabic92 taking away Daves power with his fking armtendon... what great way to evolve the sport of armwrestling. soon everyone will be under the table and man am i excited to see those matches!
The internet gives geeks the power to talk shit to some of the strongest ppl in the world with complete confidence of no repercussions, he would snap you in half while looking like a lunatic
Bart might be the worst ref ever.. Inconsistent calls. Talks during the match. Tells pullers to “take their time,” even though he’s not their coach. Holds grudges.
@@danielp2002 During some of Ryan and Alan's rounds, Ryan was calling out the ref was wrong, then Alan even joined him, THEN the commentators confirmed the ref was wrong, but they still took what the ref said lol.... yikes.
...it'll happen soon. The look on Bart's face when he saw both of them drop under the table during round 3 really sums up how everyone in the community feels.
Joe Mama dumb comment? It’s terrible for the sport. Devon has had to add it to his skills because his lack of strength vs certain wrestlers. That’s why he likes it.... and this is coming from a huge fan of his
Kings move on WAL pads are easier. Todd does well with that. Also the move isn’t awful. It’s the pads for WAL somewhat but the rules not being put in place properly is the issue. Think about this fellas, if that elbow had to stay on the pad during the kings move. You couldn’t take it off and rest your triceps getting even lower. Making rest and no pin easier. If they just enforced the elbow staying in the pad during the kings move like ANY other mice in fucking arm wrestling we wouldn’t have a problem. It’s inconsistent. SIMPLE. ELBOW STAYS ON PAD. Just like legend brzenk says. That’s solved a huge issue.
Great job blue thats what I'm talking about I know how hard you worked man your a true inspiration great ambassador for the sport....this sport is growing so much get ready folks great job to every competitor...great match also to the one of the goats DL
The legend says once upon a time WAL took the best he had and crossed the big lake towards East... since then, they have never been the same and promise never to return to that place of monsters and giants...
it was the woman go back and look you can see her right arm go up and into the screen which is how the signal, pointing to the winning side of table.the guy u could see didn't notice her at first then he looks straight at her then stops them
It wasn't the female ref. Anyway, I think Devon could have won 3:0 if that first round wasn't stopped. He had a great position and Dave would be gassed out after just round 1. When they restarted, Devon missed his window and because of that Dave was able to power through and pin him.
Technically, this wasn't unfair for those who are saying the kings move is of a cheat move. In this match, Dave also did it so it was fair. Devon only executed it more effectively. I want to see kings move Devon on Michael next.
Imthereal exactly. If both are doing it then it seems reasonable to me. I would prefer it were banned altogether but since it’s not, all bets are off so they both fight to be king
@@AlexanderWare3 One is already ugly. It becomes a mockery when both armwrestlers are doing it. They're not even armwrestling at that point, more like tug of war but without the rope.
@@nvmffs I never said it wasn't ugly. In fact at the end Devon concedes that it's ugly. Personally I wish they would ban the kings move but if its in the rules then both have the option on the table and Devon clearly performed the technique better.
So happy to see Devon get this much needed win. It meant everything to him . He's obviously old(er) and dealing with injuries(surgery). But he's so damn proud and competitive, that Dave's shit talking gave him the motivation to dig deep and do what he had to do. Not only did he beat Dave, he owned him. That being said, I'm glad that they we're both classy at the end.
odysseusnissan it troubles me seeing people like you approving this bullshit ass kingsmove, its not rlly armwrestling you know more like armtendonwrestling. Devon knew he was outmuscled so only way to win is to put Daves power on his armtendons and release pressure on his muscles thats bullshit and cheating in my eyes. Ryan vs Alan was best match of the night 100%. no bullshit just straight up strenght vs strenght.
@@amateresu6708 the problem is as long as WAL considered it not cheating and fair, so why not utilising it, I mean you can only blame yourself for not using it. Also there are ways to counter it and as the move getting more popular there will be more new ways to deal with it.
Amateresu I actually agree with you for the most part. I think they need to make the kings move illegal. That being said, it’s not, and Devon utilized it to shut Dave’s big disrespectful mouth. Dave talked some mad shit and I’m super impressed that Devon was able to use his anger to motivate for this comeback. I didn’t see it coming. I figured Devon was gonna acknowledge getting old and retire. But no! What a fucking champ! All that being said, I love Dave for taking it like a man and being cool and respectful at the end and of course, that promoting Devon to be a respectful winner. But yeah, the Kings move is a weak ass looking move that doesn’t belong in competition. Maybe they should have a separate division for it.
Когда понимаешь, что ты слабее то включаешь Тода! Всем же очевидно что Ларрат проиграл и по нормальным правилам там было бы 3:0. А WAL это дерьмо собачье
You know seeing matt mask in devons corner and workin on his arm, seeing how much actual respect is there for all competitors Shows how much Character these men have Chaffee is such a brute force and devon knows that These 2 are champions weather they have the top spot or not True entertainers.
First of all, thank you for posting these. As a relatively niche sport, the coverage is appreciated. However, if this is a legit channel/source for these videos, either you guys need to normalize the audio, or ask the production company to do it before passing it along. The interview/segment audio is really low compared to the mic'd athlete audio; Hell, even the in-match announcer levels are uneven, at best. Just some thoughts if you want to legitimize these broadcasts, and please keep it up.
Devons interview at the end is why hes my favorite arm wrestler in the world. He loves the sport Like Kobe and Jordan love basketball. You can feel their passion. Hes the reason why I'm a arm wrestling fan. His competitiveness is must watch TV. Yeah! Dave chaffee great sport. Hope he gets a win next match
Come on. Dave was much lower on the ground doing The Undertabler variation. At least Devon tried keeping his shoulders up until Dave forced him to go further down.
Anyone who actually follows Devon knows how much stronger hes been getting. Hes been working harder than ever and he was fired up by the trash talk of Canada. All the "pros" barely gave him a shot and he killed Chaffe should have been 3-0 but no call on early start
@@kasparov937 Not to take anything away from him one bit but the referee didn't set up their wrists properly, not a single time. Bowen benefited a LOT from that.
Earlier I heard a back and forth conversation on the "old" format vs the "new" supermatch format, the pros and cons of each, the reason for the new format, and also about the future viability of each. "The Beast" had some good points and I think had a insider take that I never could get, but I think instead of both styles cannibalizing each other, they could help each other. "Beast" made the analogy of golf as the "old" style and boxing as the "new" style, and it changing from golf a sport you do every weekend and you never know who is gonna win cause anything can happen but has turned into a once a year event for the 2 individuals involved. I think they could figure out like a nascar type interaction between the "new" and "old" styles, do the "old" style with points awarded by final position of the tournament, then after so many tournaments you get your super matches. After a "season" of "old" and "new" matches, then use the final points to have a year end top 6 super match tournament to crown the #1 guy that year. It would take some working out but I think both styles should be used because both styles bring it's own strategy, it's own preparation, and each favor a rather different mold/mode of arm wrestler.
This was the most exiting arm wrestling matches i have ever Seen. So intens All over. Love that matt is back, and Devon just delivered a fenomenal performance. Much love ❤️
I really, really don't like this "under the table stuff". I know is legal, i know is strategy, but it always seems a cheat to me. Seeing Devon use this to beat Chaffe, which i think today was stronger, is a little underwhelming.
Devon way of pulling the King's move is nothing like Michael Todd, especially in that last match against Devon it was a total joke. Devon's table IQ is really second to none.
Is the sport evolving to point where if you aren't strong enough to beat your opponent you can just hang you body under the table have a nap and bleed the other guy into submission to win? I am asking this question seriously, Is this even arm wrestling anymore...
Well...if you look at any Devon interviews he always says be strong..but he also says that hes hand fighting...so him pronating his wrist like that to stop a bull dozer is pretty impressive..and didn't Dave kingsmove as well? And crazy George has been kings moving way before Michael todd
@@sethdixon1450 This is not a local bar. These men are after $ and its a Pro level as well. Kingsmove is legal and can be beaten. I like the sport and think people should learn to overcome this move as others in the past.
I'm still watching this. And I will say now before finishing that the Bowen vs Guerra is the best match! What a match! Still going though don't know who wins yet!
