Somewhere in Pakistan the machine that made that ratchet mechanism has a second life and is still chugging along today............Watching those guys make things by hand and with old machinery may be my favorite type of videos to watch.
Dang you did really well saying Worcester must people pronounce it WAR-CESTER for me is Woostah Ma Hey It's a New England Thing LOL ... And yes that Refrigeration Ratchet is still used today it is used to open and close the Refrigeration Valves on a A/C compressor lines the 1/2 box end is used to remove called the King nut cover and the Ratchet part is use to slide onto a Square Shaft that controls the A/C valves ... bring out more Interesting tools like that good video so the next time you see the name Worcester Ma just say WOOSTAH MASS-UH-CHEW-SITS lot easier to say LOL
For some reason I've always liked them ratchets I've seen them made by other brands and I think they're all pretty crude by looks but for some reason I still like them I'm not into refrigeration I work on cars but I'm sure with a little imagination and ingenuity it might be a crossover tool great content my friend
Yeah it’s a small ratchet so I don’t think it’s gonna face a tremendous amount of torque. The mechanism seems plenty strong for the intended application.
