I have enjoyed watching many of the motorcycle blogs covering the beautiful rides we have in the UK including Scotland Ireland North and South Wales. I have riden many of these routes over the years but the over enthusiastic police hiding with there speed cameras and average speed cameras to gain revenue have spoilt it for me. Instead of taking it the spectacular views I'm constantly watching my speedo and it has taken the fun and freedom out of the rides in the future. The whole point of riding motorbikes is to have your freedom.

This is a regular loop of mine. You should do the snowdon pass and head to Porthmadog then loop back round to betwys y coed. Really good run that.

Nice video and camera angle. We toured it the weekend and love it, so many nice roads. Got 3 days of footage to edit now from 3 of us with 6 cameras and audio between us 🙈 managed to get first episode live last night. Great video work, look forward to seeing more 🤘🏻👊🏻🏍

I used to ride in North Wales a lot from the 1970`s to about 10 yrs ago when the proliferation of speed cameras and very enthusiastic police policy put me off.A friend asked me to go riding there yesterday{ sunday} .we rode along a mixture of road. I can only say the ride for me was ruined by the dozens of average speed cameras in all locations including over quiet moorland roads with very little traffic. The fun police have forced me to spend about 50% of riding time looking at my speedo instead of the road. Altogether not a pleasure,wont be going again.

I hear you there, used to love riding in wales but like you said always checking speedo and not eyes on road that can only be dangerous. I’m clad in Lancashire and lakes that we don’t really have speed cameras well not many to speak of that work.

I travel the M6 a lot for work and all traffic bunched up and how many times I have to glance down to check my speed taking my eyes off the road, I’ve nearly rear ended a few cars 🚗 not sure where your based but if you get into Lancashire no issues

@@MOTOUK1 Yep I am about 15 miles west of j26 of m6,so like you I am very familiar with the area. I even remember when m6 had no speed limit. Ha Ha Happy days.

I had an angry 😡 white van guy tail gating me then overtaking for no apparent gain on a very narrow road; why do they do it? When we got to the next queue I slipped ahead of the line and he tried to stop me passing, just weird.

@@MOTOUK1 I moved from the North Coast of Scotland a year ago which used to be deserted and a complete joy to ride in. Then some fool invented the name North Coast 500 and all of a sudden, because it had a name and heavy marketing, the place became swamped with tourism. This points out the human condition rather nicely, dont you think.

@@MOTOUK1 Strange to think that all the people who go there will still think that it is breathtaking, even when it is littered with ugly campervans and lines of slow moving traffic going from nowhere to nowhere pointlessly after being told to go driving in the region! I used to be able to drive for 40 miles west from Melvich and not see another vehicle. I’m temporarily in Yorkshire now, but heading back to Speyside/Inverness next. Its very busy in England, but at least the weather is better..... a lot better, believe it or not!

2:17 The further apart they are, the more accurate calculation they can make of the average speed. And, unless there are junctions on the road between them, there's no point in adding extra ones, as any vehicle has no choice by to pass the both of them, no matter how far apart they are. That's just common sense!

I've recently moved to Snowdonia from London - not riden a bike in 13 years but just had to buy one now living Snowdonia. I got myself a CBR1100XX Super Blackbird and I feel like I have died and gone to Heaven. North Wales and a motorcyle is Heaven on Earth. If you can spend a while here and do all the roads in the Snowdonia Park and the margins (20+ miles) outside it will truly blow you away. There are a few loops to do 140 to 160 mile and all are truly spectacular.

@@MOTOUK1 - great drone footage of Llyn Celyn, if you go again wander down past the toilets to the lake/resevoir it is truly beautiful with some really wonder rapids on the one of the streams that feeds it - you won't be disappointed - it's only 5 mins walk from the car park loo.

good loop past loads of petrol station with out filling up, mt10 can tour if you dont go flatout . did you see the two bike cops trying to catch speeding bikes on the road across bala.

adrian tompson it must be difficult for the cops to understand what went on really. That bmw was 1/4 mike down road, front wheel was tucked under front so slid a long way. Crazy really. The mini’s screen was smashed so looking at it I expect driver to have gone through it
