Honestly, had they mix RvB Zero and Family Shatters together, I’d wager there wouldnt be as much complaints as there were imo.

Absolutely, RvB Zero is what we get when they pivot too much into story and action, Family Shatters is what we get when they focus too much on random bullshit, but the main series should be a mix but we can have spin offs, like the short videos they made

RvB also had "the best of both worlds" at the same time. They could have just stuck to the original or similar formula with Zero and we would have liked it.

Because the creative process behind Zero is under the impression that people seek out RvB for long fight scenes and action sequences instead of the comedy undercutting said action.

okay, I laudhed hard at "pick up the pages". It was such a cheezy line in Zero, but it was kinda memorable, because of how he was saying the "pick up the pace" line.

These characters have more character in this non-canon show that they actually do in the main show. In the main show, they're literally a jumble of walking cliches and tragic backstories that aren't explained at all. In FS, they actually have chemistry together.

Not true. I Love BGC but I think I may actually love Recollection even more. It's about balance. Humorous standing around and talking, great action sequences, and decent character growth. (I'm all about the character growth) That's one thing I'm going to be sad about the retcon. I'm still for the reason, but now we lose the Awesome character growth we got in the shizno paradox. 😢

This is actually nice. Kinda nostalgic of season 1 of RvB, just people messing around for the sake of being funny, not taking the writing too serious. With this kind of looseness a natural conflict will eventually come about and by that time we will care about the characters enough to want to see them resolve it. Doesn’t have to be about ‘ultimate power’ or ‘saving the world,’ as long as the characters are loved, the audience will be eager to see them tackle any problem.

Ever since Zero I've been Imitating Zero's Voice constantly, I Train people so every time I'm Sparring or doing anything similar all you hear is lines like: Is that the best you've got? Underestimate me and... A failed attempt to replace me Has that family made you soft (One of the people I Train started a family and can't Train as often so he hears this one constantly)

Now I'm curious because aside from 'walk and talk' being used a lot in the show the 'Explain the virtue of a proportional response' and the 'wait I was following you' bit makes me wonder if those were nods to 'The West Wing'. Also pretty sure that one of the benefits of being the villain is not needing to worry about a 'proportional response' and being able to, as President Bartlett says in the episode 'come back with total disaster'.
