I’m so happy for your recovery/sobriety. What steps did you take to get sober? My son is an alcoholic and he lives in Byron Georgia. He’s 39, married with 3 teenage boys. He needs help to get him sober. He’s been struggling for a long time. He’s not been able to hold down a job for about a year now because of his drinking. He can’t even be trusted to drive his car alone because he will drink and drive. He will drink until he is falling down drunk. Please help a man out in Byron Georgia. Just looking for some advice/help. 🙏🙏
Hello Robin, Regardless of what happens with your son, I sincerely hope you are doing something for you. Specifically, attending Al-Anon. Unless you seek wisdom from other people who have gone through what you presently are, your son will always hold the power. What you will discover is, the way YOU respond to his destructive behavior, will change. I wish you all the best! Mark
@@markg.4246 thank you for your response. I’m not even there with him. He lives in Georgia and I live in Virginia. It’s his wife and kids that are having to live with him drinking and being drunk not me. I only hear from them about it. Whenever I get the chance to talk to him on the phone I can tell if he’s sober or if he’s drinking. If I detect that he’s drinking I question him and he lies about it. I think his wife and kids need to do that, go to alanon or whatever it’s called. And I don’t think that she’s willing to do that. As a matter of fact she said a couple weeks ago that her and the kids were going to go but then she never went. She’s the one that needs the advice because I live 500 some miles away. My hands are tied 😢
