I walked through this last year. Its a rough walk over the rocks on the tracks. I was suprised it led right out to one of the most expensive shopping areas in the city.
Most of the slums in Bangkok are now will be foreign workers who come to live and villagers from the original owner For example, at the 6.57 minute the child's voice does not speak Thai. And at the 12.46 minute isn't voice does not speak Thai.
I was there last Sunday! This was the area I failed to cycle continuously from Asoke to Nana. Also been to the slum area and had the same thoughts how close it was to a luxury mall.

A lot better then it was in the mid 80s you got on a train and headed south out of bkk the view it was like nothing you could have imagined, shacks and shacks everywhere. not half as bad now, and hopefully will get better for them.
@@silentseekerYT Hi, visiting Thailand in the 80s was magical very different from today, to get to the islands was a night train from BKK to Surat Thani then a boat to the islands as no airports at that time, once on the islands just beach bungalows, the trip and sites viewed from bkk on the train, were much different, remember Hau Hin train station never thought I would live in In Hua Hin for a few years many years later. also, remember when I got off the plane in Bkk Don Mueang people would come from miles around grandfathers would bring grandkids just to see the farangs for the first time getting off the flights the kids faces ha, much different from today, good luck with your channel.
The water quality in Sanseab canal is difference in each part of the canal and each seasons too. There are school of fish living in that canal thats mean it still have high level of oxigen otherwise it wont survive, the whole central of Thailand locate on the muddy plate to build stable low rise building here it need atleast 20 metro of deep pillar the water will normall be muddy if it flow, you dont have to have strong immunity to swim in that 90 km. long man made canal only small part in the middle of town got problems and it not all year round. The kids live there they should know when they can or cant swim and the best time to do it is now.
This one is in Bangkok's most expensive real estate area which makes it a bit more unusual, but you're right there are bigger slums elsewhere in the city.
@@silentseekerYT this isnt the most expensive estate area it maybe near but will never be that expensive. In Bangkok most of the slum estate belong to either crown bureau or other government organizations such as train , port , tobaco authority the land cant be sold, at best long tern renting so it cant and will never be "most expensive"

Overly proud Thai's will not accept this. They wanted to look Thailand is the best place among neighboring southeast asian country, but the truth is not.
@Alexandra You may not know that I listen to it is not Thai for many periods. In this area, the Thai original owner gave a group of foreign workers from neighboring countries to rent to live.
