The site of the West Elm store was a Kress "5 and 10" for many years. Sears WAS located in the space that The Committed Pig and its neighbor to the immediate east are located.
Thanks for letting us know about the 5 and 10. I had heard the Committed Pig / Cove Carpet was part of the Sears when one of the sales people there took me down in the old freight elevator (I had my son in the stroller so we didn't take the stairs, haha). Thanks for watching and commenting. Are you still living in the area?
Good point, all though I usually don't order from there so it wasn't on my mind while walking by. My son went crazy for the Toy Professor which used to be next store so anytime I'm over there I block it out for personal reasons. I am a big fan of SQR Pizza on Union Place. They call themselves Roman Style, it has a really crunchy crust almost like a think Focaccia. Their Burrata Pizza is amazing. Doria's never did it for me, will have to try it again.
