I saved the spiral wire from notebooks from when my son's were in school. I use them for the hanging up of projects like this. Cute stretched out a bit.Attach @ top @ top sides so it shows. Rustic looking.

When I make these pockets, I use a staple gun. Much easier and quicker.

4’ squares are perfect and leave room between to walk around. You don’t need raised beds in an arid place like Utah but some kind of border (rock, brick, scrap wood) can be nice to look at.

A 4’ X 20’ bed is also nice. Anything really but no deeper than 4’ so you can reach all plants from both sides. My husband didn’t listen to me and made a garden bed that was 6x6 and it was really hard for me to work the center without stepping in the bed.

Do you ever paint metal items for outdoor use and what do you seal them with? I’m wanting to paint my old metal wagon wheels with Old 57 and I’m not sure what to seal the paint with.

Just use a water based outdoor sealer. I have used kilz clear of diy paint before.
