The man is an able and talented leader, he's hurt us as a rugby nation before, and has his fingerprints all over the modern game, endless respect, and a kind of wary worry at a resurgent Australian Rugby.
Its going to be interesting. The first half of his tenure at Ireland was very successful but then it all descended into joyless and formulaic predictability. Hope he has learned from that.
It’s interesting what he did there , he basically looked at what he had and formulated a game style that he thought could trouble the allblacks , they were number 1 at the time , and then played that way against everyone. Had great success but showed his hand too early if world cups were the goal because by the time the 19 wc come around , everyone had a good look at them by then and they had been worked out . But he did achieve the goal of beating the allblacks , which was massive for Ireland at the time . I’m guessing there will be far more attacking flair with the wallabies
… obviously has great experience and expertise but does sound like the old days when the benevolent headmaster coached the first team (don’t mean to sound critical and wish him well but……)
I dont know. He does not like flowing rugby.? Touch of old school .he like,s his players to hit the ground maintain ball then offload.shmit is a control freak .ok set piece and line out good.but i think he is prob not open to new ideas,?😂😂😂
