This was one of the first games I ever played on the family PS2. Didn't complete it when I was younger, ended up buying a second copy recently and completing that instead. Reasonably solid platforming, but I did think it came apart a bit at the Diamond-O-Matic
Its cause the game had to be rushed to meet the deadline. The devs had to make cuts, two levels were cut and they had to rush the diamond o matic. Zoo tokens and bonus levels were cut from the final level.
And yet this game was made before Curse of the Were-Rabbit, not to mention the dining room in the first cutscene was in the same layout as the Wrong Trousers from 1993.
@@Tulf42I believe it was also in Wrong Trousers and labelled as ‘Gromit’s Prized Marrow’ making me think it’s the marrow he used in a previous Tottington Hall Vegitable Competition
Robert Smith I’s say it was in the works during the game’s release. It was worked on after Matter of Loaf & Death as well as Chicken Run. It makes sense seeing how long a Ardman animation takes to create.
Catherine Payn this is meant to take place after Wrong Trousers and Close Shave; notice the news on the page Archie gives the SOS on, as well as the old Preston’s dog food cans you can find round the place. Gromit gets a porridge gun at one point as well which is a reference to it malfunctioning due to Shawn and the fact Gromit attacks Preston with it. Wallace even says “Another blinkin’ Close Shave..”
6:16 Do my eyes deceive me? Is that the image of an ancient Reptile AKA Living Fossil from New Zealand? 7:12 Yes, it’s the Tuatara. I recognize that Lizard like Reptile anywhere. They’ve been seen in Books & some Documentaries.
Matthew Thornley not worth doing seeing how he wasn’t completely personified anymore like the way Gromit’s body is. Preston at the end of Close Shave became AI with a body that could be commended to move
