This sounds to me like the controller is modulating the duty cycle of the front motor using PWM and the pulse width should match the cadence of the skipping. Take a look at the effects of PWM on lighting and the flickering that it causes. This is the same effect but on power output to the motor. If this is the cause it would require a firmware update or settings change to the display/controller to reduce the width of the pulse. It may be a hardware limitation.
I have the H9 the front motor is not 1000w motor It is 750w and the rear motor is 1000w. The owners manual points this out on page 9. The AWD system is 1750 watts total. If u drive with front motor only u will notice a drop in power due to the smaller motor. Regarding the noise in the front motor, many other videos have gone over the noise in the front motor and a few have spoken to wallke directly. It’s been explained by Wallke engineering department that the noise in the front motor is a normal function for this bike. To date I haven’t seen any information about the front motor failing even though it sounds different than we’d prefer. Maybe since it is a new product bike time will tell if the motor fails in the future. But for now Wallke and bike owners say everything is operating normally.
The wheel with the rotational weight of the motor plus the shock makes it do a skip while going at higher RPM .. play with the rebound on the shock or completely replace the tires with heavier rubber compounds and that skipping sound goes away … I own a H9 and I also have done a few repairs on it …. New tires help and you might want to address the rear brakes … caliper sits high so the 2 spacer washers need to go to fit properly
not 100% sure but the wife and i both have the h9 awd, Both of our bikes do the samething at high speed. has not effected the ride quality, but can definetly hear it skipping. I have come to the conclusion that seeing the front end of the bike is lighter than the rest the front wheel skips at higher speed? We are completly happy with the bikes 60 miles in at this point..
I have a lot of experience riding ebikes and escooters, the issue is controller, it is programmed to send 22 amps to rear motor and 18 amps to the front, this is why we experiencing this crazy skipping noise. I can be wrong but this is my thoughts
Ok, so last night I took the H9awd on a speed run both motors highest setting. sitting in the normal fashion I experienced the front wheel skipping sensation we have been discussing. I found that if I leaned more forward ( crotch rocket mode ) that extra weight on the front end eliminated the wheel skip. ???
@@rockysambrano8435 Go for it! We love our H9's. I have had this bike for 2 weeks it is the 48 volt battery option with 1000w front and rear hubs. I ride aggressivly at times as well as using pedal assist. I currently have 66 miles on the bike and battery showing 40% I have yet to charge our bikes. I believe i will have 80 miles plus on one charge. the 60v battery I imagine would easily be over 120 miles with my riding style. We have taken these bikes on wooded trails in awd no problem. In awd highest settings I don't think the avg person will find a hill that this bike wouldn't conquer. JMHO
That's just the way hub motors sound. Nothing to be done about it. Just need to get used to it. To be fair the tires make more noise at high speed than the hub motors do. Unless you plan to take it off road I'd get more street friendly tires. Also when your street only I'd just turn off the front motor or disconnect it as its pointless to have awd on the road.
You probably can’t hear that pulsing sound in this video, i have many ebikes and not a single one sounds like this. Rear motor sounds right and the issue is only with front motor or controller
@@GiRides Actually as I am visually impaired I hear more than most, and while I do hear a pulse I have heard it in many other hub single motors. Especially when the tires are of a poor quality and their weight isn't balanced. As far as AWD bikes I personally have never ridden one as I have never seen the need as I only ride street. My comment still stands though. if your on street and the front motor is annoying you turn it off. After looking at the site for this bike its easy to just put it into FWD or RWD mode. I would say try the AWD mode in an actual off road environment and see if it stiil does the same. THEN complain about the pulse? Cancel Reply
@@kurt9381 without actually riding this bike (as I can't afford it, but having experience with hub motors in general) I chalk it up to 2 things. First is poor tire quality as I have seen single hub motors and even mid drives (that I currently use) do this with poor quality tires that are not balanced, or the two motors are fighting each other. I can't see this as an issue on dirt/snow/etc where this would actually be useful, but on street AWD should never be used. After looking at the site this can actually be disabled.
@@whitepawrolls I own this bike and it’s 100% cheap tires … I put Ultraverse tires with Tannus tire liners and that skipping went away … newbs are funny
