probably made 450M$ over the five years... these lawsuits are a joke to major companies !! Criminal record and jail time needs to be added to these scams!! When that happens, trust me costs for the consumer will come down when they realize the CEO will be held accountable too !!! The major grocers are the food mafia !!! Like the gas stations talking to each other to set the gas prices, same with the food.... I see prices going higher each week doubling in costs in a couple of years and when one item goes up, it doesn't take long for the next door grocer to raise the price too!!! In the end, the lawyers get their money, the companies will recuperate by tax loss deduction and increase prices on other items, and the consumer keeps getting hammered in the brown eye wazoo ..... as usual !!! ridiculous system we have !!!!

@@Ronniejamesleo😏 You're only looking at the glass half full. It's not hard to believe she has receipts going back that far. If you order online and have your food delivered by Walmart then the receipts from your purchase history are in the system. Furthermore, the items listed for the claim are in weighted goods (meat and bagged fruit) from 2018 to January 2024. I shop online and in Walmart for meat all the time. Depending on if you can show proof of receipts and how the lawyers of the settlement who are working for the ppl ask you to submit proof of those receipts determines the payout and that's only if the settlement is approved after the deadline in June.

🤔 Who told you that delivered items in weighted goods of meat and bagged fruit weren't applicable to the claim? If you bought any of those items in the timeframe with proof in receipts (or not) that's what the settlement claim is asking. It isn't saying anything about whether you bought those items in store or whether they were delivered. That's silly because how you purchased the items and whether you have receipts or not doesn't take away from the fact that the prices were hiked.

They made ~$157B in gross profit last year, that $45 mil can be recouped in like ~2.5 hours. They just settled it quickly before the news is blown up and probably kept the price tag unchanged. Rinse, repeat...😂

i bought two big clearance toilet paper packs but at self checkout i scanned the regular bar code , so i was charged $16 too much but the next time I went there my receipt blew out the window of the car at 55 mph ...so I almost took a $16 pet food bag but that was the only item the gump at the door checked if I'd paid,,, i never steal so i guess i was lucky .....i think it sounds like a phony lawsuit but i ight get my 16$ back ,,, they do that at a lot of places lowes had $7 roofing tar that rang up $80 for two and i only had two other items and then they left me waiting to check on it because they knew they weren't going to sell those for $7 i was mad because they were heavy and I'd just had surgery but lumped them up there for the cost , if i'd had many items that was a lot extra money difference...

The closest one to me is 20 miles away, and the next closest is 35 miles. I go to either/or at least once a week. Living in a rural area on a farm has its advantages, but also has disadvantages like not being able to bicycle everywhere I go like I did in Miami.

It’s not a hoarding case for every person. I have every receipt purchase from 2016 to present day. Only difference is they are electronically stored in this cash-back app I use. Someone also mentioned in the comments you can digitally store your receipts in the Walmart app, but I’ve never done that.

I told my husband some time ago that the amount of ground meat I was getting in a package wasn’t the same, but when I weighed it the scale showed the correct weight. Here is a tip if Wal-Mart does something wrong or you get hurt or get treated unfairly by an employee hold Wal-Mart accountable do not let them get away with anything. Ive seen choice ribeye steak at Walmart for $16.99 lb and then find another one $18.99 lb Same choice Ribeye. The dame with other meats. Its a huge scam on the consumer. A Walmart employee told me they raise prices weekly and cant even keep up. A little at a time, so it wont shock us. Its a HUGE SCAM
