I met Gen. Boomer over in the gulf when we were waiting to come back to the states. I was was with 1/7 from 29 palms and it was in 1991 I met him and it's a memory I'll keep forever. He was a great leader and said things that I'll never forget. Thank you Sir!

Walt Boomer was CEO of the company I have worked for for most of my life. I’ll tell you we will never and have never had a president like him. He was there for us as workers as friends. What a great man. Rogers Corporation is the company. I’ve been here for 18 years.

I was a lcpl with 2/5 on the Tarawa, ran into the general in the midnight gym before departure. Very interesting interview as I am now 50 and have a more well rounded perspective. Semper Fi

Love this guy. Truly a remarkable Marine. I loved his chow hall in the Gulf War as I took my troops there to eat. Semper Fi Walt.

I also was wpns 2/7 , dragons plt. Got to see Gen. Boomer one time, had a HumVee stuck in the sandy mud after a hard rain, looking for a piece of equipment that had been lost the previous night. Gunny Gardner, who was the plt Sgt for heavy guns, was in charge of getting the HumVee out. A Chinook landed on a nearby road and out comes Gen. Boomer, asking if he could be of assistance, Gunny Gardner didn't skip a beat, told the Gen he appreciated it, but he had it under control and would square it away and he should just get back to his duties.

Met Boomer when he visited the HQ of 2nd MarDiv during Desert Shield/Storm. As to the press; at one point a Time reporter was taking pictures of our POW compound and I told him to stop because you can't use POWs as propaganda tools, and he did.

Corps, not corp. A corps ( pronounced "core") is a military formation. Corp. is an abbreviation for corporation.

I wonder if these interviews go on some kind of local TV show or something and I'm just seeing the RU-vid part of the interview because I don't understand you know how he says you're with so and so you're watching so and so will be right back and then cut straight back into it I just don't understand why it wouldn't just be a solid interview without that it just doesn't make much sense at all unless it's a piece of something that's attached to something else is why they keep saying that like there's going to be some kind of commercial but it just cuts directly back to it I just I don't get it I'm pretty sure people that do the channel get notified about comments but maybe not I know this one was a year ago but I'm pretty sure there's some new ones so if somebody sees this maybe let me know if not it's all good
