Hello,
And welcome to day 7 of my 1 week trip to Walt Disney World in April 2024. Today was the last and final park day (very sad face), and today was Hollywood Studios Day!
I started my morning off with a nutritious breakfast that consisted of a Ghost energy drink & a Gideon's cookie. After years of never wanting to join the long queue, i am so glad i did because those cookies are amazing! I will certainly be returning every year from now on.
Breakfast done, i got myself to the park for the extra magic hours and armed with Genie + i managed to tick off Mickey & Minnies Runaway Railway, Toy Story Mania, Tower of Terror, Alien Swirling Saucers all before 11am! While in the queue at Toy Story land i mobile ordered myself a Ronto Wrap and headed to Galaxys Edge to collect it.
Food well and truly demolished i got myself onto the single rider queue for Smugglers Run, which at the time was showing a massive 80 min wait. I waited for around 10 minutes and it was my time to fly. I would highly recommend utilising and single rider queue you can as it really can save you tonnes of time waiting especially for bigger attractions.
As the time approached 12pm, i decided to get myself on over to Magic Kingdom as i fancied my chances for the virtual queue for Tron Lightcycle. After bagging my boarding group i proceeded to get in as many rides and attractions as i could before the group was called. I got Mickey's Philharmagic, Carousel of Progress, Big Thunder Mountain, The Festival of Fantasy Parade, Prates of the Caribbean all done before it was my turn on the virtual queue.
Once over at Tron, disaster struck. The ride had broken down and i waited over an hour and my group had still not been called. It is at the point i decided to remove myself from the queue and go over to Wilderness Lodge to get something to eat. It was the first issue i had faced all week, but it didn't sour my experience as we had lots left to do.
I got myself the Bison Burger from Geyser Point and tucked in. Food consumed i headed around Wilderness Lodge for a bit before heading to our final stop of the night, the Contemporary & Bay Lake Tower.
Having never been to Bay Lake Tower or The Top of the World DVC Members Lounge, this was all a great new experience for me. From the outside balcony you could see the majority of the Disney World complex and i couldn't believe the unique perspective i was witnessing of my favourite place in earth. After soaking in the views, eating my pork sliders, it was time for Happily Ever After fireworks show.
With the night wrapping up, i reflected on the trip and how amazing that was and how lucky i was to get to see that as most people do not have access to it. I rounded off the day feeling happy, but sad it was the last day. The morning came around and it was time to go home. I packed my stuff, said goodbye and made my way back to England.
