Oh my Lord this is such a beautiful tribute to Bishop. I loved hearing him sing this and Rev. Donnie tore it up!!! Everyone did a beautiful job, the singers, musicians etc!
All three did wonderful.... All three brought an element of their own style to this song and all three blessed my soul by singing it in memory of Bishop Hawkins.... People stop comparing people's gift. We are all a part of the body of Christ!!! We need all parts to function as a WHOLE!!! What happen to, if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all!!!
I can't watch this without shedding tears. Walter Hawkins is my favorite all time gospel singer. His voice was like no other. I was hurt the day he passed away. There will never be another like him and his music. RIP Walter.😥🙏🏽👊🏽

Pastor McClurkin THIS WAS MARVELOUS, SUPER MARVELOUS. The person or persons who organised this tribute chose the ideal vocalist to lead sing that song. SING THAT SONG PASTOR MCCLURKIN, SING THAT SONG COME ON SIR, YESSUH! Pastor McClurkin (The General) and Bishop Marvin Winans (The Maestro) always does two things, First sing with THE ANOITING and they bring LIFE TO A SONG that they sing it better than the original version, THEY ARE SUCH BLESSINGS TO THIS GENERATION. They are legends today because they have never changed their musical trajectory for anyone or anything. It is no secret that the entertainment industry does have a morality of its own, they have tried with the help of GOD course to remain steadfast. God bless them. GOD RICHLY RICHLY BLESS THEM.
@ShangoJamal Yeah. God broke the mold of male Gospel Singers when he made Donnie. And what I love about Donnie is the fact that he is a thinking and emotional singer. There is a passion and a love affair for God with Donnie. I want Donnie to be 100 yrs old still singing just like that. Amen.

Whenever I hear it, I am reminded of a sermon Bishop Hawkins preached a few years back about 'cleaving to God & His Word- how that God has given us His commandments to protect us & to guide us. Also, God's Word provides benefits for our communities, our families, our selves and the Kingdom of God. If you're interested read Deut. 4-8, & chap 28 & Galatians. The Word of God is LIVING & POWERFUL & sharper then any 2 edge sword

@Huddyman100 This is a tribute to Bishop Hawkins. Bishop Hawkins AND Donnie sung this song when he was alive. I nthink Donnie did an outstanding job considering how close he was to Bishop.
Look up pastor jerry black his choir did a wonderful rendition of this song and pastor black just tears it uo at the end but i was truly blessed by this
Bishop , your anointing is powerful, God wanted to add you to His Mass Heavenly Choir. Took you and Bishop Timothy Wright and other well known artist. I want to hear that mass Choir one day.
@ShangoJamal hahaha... thats funny... i dont like 2 compare b/c we all have gifts that God has given us and its not right 2 do so... its just that Donnie's annointing is soooo heavy that only a selected few can really stand next to him and hold their own... Ted tried, but ....... :(
@BuffieVanderbilt but Donnie is very tall and Ted is tall. Donnie is a tall guy though, he makes everyone look short. Kirk Franklin is short, yes, but Byron may be like medium...
@preacherfemale I dunno...I've heard Ted sing & reach some WH songs, maybe not with the same power of donnie...but Ted got some range too. Better yet, there's a song on Ted & sheri's cd that he sang with WH; and Ted reached many of WH notes. .

@godblessima: How do you know a Orange tree is a Orange tree...or a Apple tree is a Apple Tree? We know them by the fruit they bear....because they testify of them. Is it not written that a good tree cannot yeild wicked fruit...and likewise a wicked tree cannot yield good fruit because of the nature of the tree? Read the scripture and then apply it. Those are not just words written on a page....JESUS intended for us to apply these scriptures. The works of a man really do testify of him.
Take the current Donnie and put him with The Daryl Coley of about 1.5 decades ago, and that would've been something. But we have heard Donnie sing with Walter Hawkins, and Walter killed him on the Azuza performance of "Thank You Lord"

I listen to this weekly and love the comments. Bishop Hawkins LOVED good singing. Donnie Mcclurkin SANG Marvelous with almost as much passon and heart as the Bishop does. And I thought Donnie was going to lose his voice on those strong high notes. Gifted just gifted! See that was a celebration of the life of Bishop Walter Hawkins. We all were uplifted and moved by that dynamic performance. We are honoring the Bishop, comforting his family and loved ones, and his church family when we comment. I doubt anyone means any disrespect. I know you are hurting. We hurt too. It is so good to know that Bishop Hawkins has overcome this world. His labor is finished. His works will follow him. He has planted the seeds and has MUCH fruit, the kind that last. That pleases God. The Bishop will receive his reward. We haven't forgotten what has happened. We just LOVE what it means!!!! But like he said...Don't wait till the battle is over to shout now you know in the end you're going to win. This is me shouting with Bishop Hawkins..... HALLELUJAH!!

I can't believe that someone that's as talented, as Donnie McClurkin doesn't know his limitation's. This is the one time he stepped out of the box, and tried something that simply was to much for him. His rendition of " Marvelous " was an insult to, "perfection". Understand, personally I like Donnie's music, but this was one song he should have just left alone.
Would have been so good if not for the gibberish Donnie just has to throw in between the verses, he does it in most songs, just ruining the whole experience. smh
