Weihrauch or Diana, the trigger is rubbish,
@AirgunDetectives
@AirgunDetectives 4 года назад
@@petegower2031 the trigger is the weak link but it is a lower $200 dollar German made rifle. As you saw in my review I specifically mentioned the trigger and that is why it didn't get top marks. But I can't argue with the accuracy. These rifles have great accuracy. When I get time I want to disassemble the trigger mechanism to see if it can be improved. You can't beat the Rekord trigger, my personal favorite, or the T05/T06 but those guns are a much higher price point. The Walther is much more affordable to many and provides a German made gun with great accuracy. Thanks for watching and I appreciate your feedback 👍😉

Got the parrus in .22 here in Canada, love it so much! The interesting thing is mine is shooting 40-50 + FPS more than yours, and it shoots like a dream, I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking to buy one, it’s honestly so surprising that the parrus didn’t get more hype because it’s such a great gun for such a low price! Especially German engineering for that low of a price! the quality is great, literally seems unbreakable, also the accuracy is unbelievable for a magnum springer, putting out about 26 fpe, well mine does atleast, I’d suggest buying one before they are out of stock everywhere

For those that already have this gun it responds very well to a tune where you can install a Vortek chrome vanadium 135 / 35 coil spring and polish the trigger components. I did this with my two Walther Parrus 22s one with the polymer stock and other with wood stock - they both shoot the CP 14.3s at 930 FPS and are just as accurate or if not more than the Parrus reviewed in this video. The trigger of this rifle is not as smooth as the Diana TO6 or the HW Reckord but it is a very good trigger for hunting and it is solidly built. The Parrus is top of the line German workmanship. I also the wood stock model in 177 which is excellent right out of the box and needed no tuning- shoots the CP 7.9g at 1010 FPS very accurate. I got my 3 Parrus at very low prices because I guess they weren’t selling the way they intended so as to compete with the Diana 350 - great for me I got the at burnout prices and I’m very happy.

Another great review. I bought this in .177 and it is a monster. Even with a heavy pellet, it has a ton of velocity and lots of slap. I went to the heavier pellets because it will regularly break the sound barrier with anything less than 10 grains. When I was about 10, my dad brought back a match-grade Springfield 30-06 from Picatinny Arsenal, where he was working on a construction job. Shooting the Parrus is similar. It's not a particularly user-friendly shooting experience It will shoot the scope off if you don't invest in solid mounts, and it has as much slap as any air rifle in my stable. Oh, my, is it accurate, though, and in many cases appears to put out as much as many of my .22 caliber guns. A keeper.

It's a great gun! I have had mine for just over 2 years now and I got the wood stock. The Beech stock is nice but the colour was a reddish colour so I refinished it with a Walnut stain and 9 coats of Tru Oil. Fantastic stock now! The wood doesn't feature the palm swell like the syn stock does. One thing to note to you shooters just purchasing this gun, If you plan to scope the gun, PUT A SOLID QUALITY 1 PIECE mount on it! I had a set if Millet 2 piece rings and after my 5th shot I couldn't figure out why I wasn't hitting the target anymore at 25 yards. The rear mount had its mounting lips sheared off from the recoil! The lips are what tighten down into the 11mm dovetail. Other than that this is a fantastic powerful break barrel! I also share your comments on the trigger, though not a bad trigger, it isn't the best either and it's plastic! Come check us out on Facebook, Airgun Addicts Anonymous Group.

@@jeremyblackwater439 In .177 I would try a heavier pellet, 10 gr. The H&N Baracuda 10.65 might be a good choice. The heavier pellet will slow down the velocity, quiet the rifles, increase your accuracy and give you more FPE. Enjoy your new rifle 😉

I've 'played ' around with the thought of buying a Parrus,...I do own the Terrus in .177 and it is a 'quality built' springer. Maybe I will buy a Parrus when and IF the price drops; here in Canada at two major on-line airgun dealers the Parrus is priced at $389CAD,..then you have to add shipping and sales taxes,...for me that would bring this rifle near $500CAD. Too high, I think for a springer rifle of this 'class' when I can buy others which are just abut as good for far less.

Hey all. I’m new to airguns. I am thinking of ordering the Sig ASP 20 in .22 cal. This seems to be really similar.

I'm really irritated by the majority of producers not stating the max. kinetic energy of their gun with the SPECIFIED pellet. They should at least state the WEIGHT of the pellet with which one can expect such and such velocity...

Maybe the 22 is OK but you are wasting your money on the 177, it's way over sprung, recoiling monster, by the way if you are a weihrauch or Diana fan forget this the trigger is crap, and the adjustable trigger doesn't allow you to adjust anything, it's got a piston weight up front that makes the recoil off the planet. The biggest Airgun shop in my country said this gun in either calibre was rubbish because of the trigger, and Walther should stick to making barrels! After being passed one by a friend who couldn't hit a barn door I stripped it and checked out everything! Don't buy this gun you will regret it! PG German Air rifle tuner

Walther saved money on trigger and in the same time they wanted to compete with rekord and T06. fully adjustable, two stage trigger is a MUST in high quality springer,

That was a great 20 yard group for a 200 dollar german gun with just enough power for racoons

Do you ever notice that every break barrel you test groups amazing at 20? Why on earth not group test these at 30 to really separate them out? Another option would be to just drop that pointless part of the review altogether.
