The costume designers fucking NAILED this new Scarlet Witch costume.

Rewatching this scene makes so much more sense now seeing as Wanda was deliberatly missing a few shots seemingly just missing them because she was loosing control, whereas she was actually aiming at the walls. That is so cleverly sneaked in.

Sometimes people also underestimate Wanda's intelligence, mostly because it tends to be overshadowed by her emotional instability. Wanda pulling off that rune trick against a master witch like Agatha was incredibly impressive. Strange had the Ancient One, and it's high time Wanda got a teacher too. Though, in a way, Agatha also taught her so much in such a short span of time, so props to Agatha too. Wanda has great raw power, but she just lacks knowledge.

i like how the score at 4:06 is sort of a combination of what you'd expect a villain and a hero's theme to sound like. Very apt for the full realization of the Scarlet Witch character

This scene hits differently after Multiverse of Madness. Agatha unintentionally helped Wanda become the Scarlet Witch. She told her about the Darkhold and everything. WandaVision basically set the stage for Wanda to go dark but we ignored it because we were focused on her dealing with her grief and moving on. I think having her snap in the Multiverse of Madness was a necessary part of her journey and now the healing can begin.

It really speaks to me that Wanda embraces her full self and she isnt even happy. Maybe on some level she DOES know the damage she can do beyond what she could already do and shes just like "Yeah, power is not all its cracked up to be."

Just came back here to say, Scarlet witch is terrifying in Multivere of Madness. She is so powerful and its scary at the same time. I hope they explore more of her character in the next films.

Strange is gonna have a hell of a time dealing with this shit next time.

You can hear so much emotion in Agatha’s response of her two “no”s: No… :”Please don’t take away my magic” then No…:”Wait no, this is bad. Terrible things will happen” She says no for an emotional reason and no for a logical one.

Why people disliked this finale? It was insane. This the Scarlett Witch that we deserved in Age of Ultron. From all current Marvel series this is my favorite finale. She is strong and more poweful than Carol Danvers.

Despite the emotional trauma that Wanda suffered and went through, seeing her pull off the runes in a surprise counterattack to Agatha's master skills is impressive, most impressive! She's a SCARLET WITCH for a reason, period!!!

Wanda can destroy an Infinity Stone, almost single-handedly defeat Thanos, and create pocket realities. Imagine now what the Scarlet Witch can do…Also, looking at the route she's taking, I hope it's going to be like Dr Strange, whose mastery of magic improved by leaps and bounds from his first movie to Infinity War. Looking forward to the Scarlet Witch in the Multiverse of Madness! If there's no plot armour Wanda could probably have ended everything with three words: "No. More. Multiverses."

People have no idea how monumental this scene is. Wanda was first introduced in 2015, and ever since, everyone has been waiting for her to become the Scarlet Witch. Before WandaVision, she was just a sidekick. Very powerful obviously, but still just a side character. This here embracing the mantle and prophecy of the Scarlet Witch will be one of the top most moments in the whole MCU. Aside from the perfect score, VFX, and costume, the writers finally giving her true identity and own storyline is HUGE. Kudos to Marvel for creating not only a great show, but perfect character transition.

Agent Jimmy Woo produces his identification with a flick of the wrist, the card appearing in his hand as if by magic. This is a reference to the character's first appearance in Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) where he is shown to be instantly fascinated by Scott Lang's mastery of close-up magic, but completely unable to do any tricks himself.

I don’t think the scarlet witch is someone who can be drained once activated. Like I 100% do think Wanda was using an illusion enchantment to fool Agatha into thinking she had deteriorated to full floating corpse status. But you’d think she would still have the zombie hands after dropping her illusion since that happened when she still had little idea that she was the Supreme of all witches. But her black hands also restored to full health. I think Wanda pre-Diadem was only working with like 0.000001% of her true power and as soon as she finally accepted her crown after successfully casting witchcraft runes and no longer thought she only had psychokinetic powers from the mindstone experiments, that repressed energy started to slowly manifest-at first just healing her, but quickly becoming such a concentrated singularity of power that it was like a black hole and drained Agatha of all the power she had stolen from countless covens starting with Salem. I do love the idea of her activation being like some sort of singularity event because I love the theory of Kang’s threshold being her ascension. It makes sense because she is the living embodiment of the entire multiverse’s chaos magic in the MCU and after Kang’s “threshold,” his sacred timeline instantly splits into a multiverse of infinite chaos. Also just want to point out that Fox tried and failed twice to do something similar with the Phoenix Force saga and Disney is showing that it CAN be done! I don’t know if the Phoenix Force is even relevant in the MCU with Wanda being a Nexus Being, but this gives me hope that someday Disney will actually give us a successful depiction of Jean Grey’s dark descent into madness and cosmic power.

I know we've had several MCU Disney plus shows now, but wandavision is still one of my favorites

The direction, the visuals, the timing, sound effects, music, writing, acting, and that COSTUME, everything about this scene was phenomenal. One of the best moments in the MCU.

When Agatha couldn’t use her powers anymore, the blackness in her fingers disappeared a little bit because her tie to the Dark Hold was also cut off. The same thing happened to Wanda in Mulitverse of Madness when Sarah (Wongs Girlfriend) stabbed and destroyed the Darkhold of this same Earth.

Hmm... I wonder if Agatha was onto something when she said Wanda as the Scarlet Witch is doomed to destroy the world? I mean there has been lots of foreshadowing in regards to that: 1) Wanda is associated with death: she was present when her parents died, her brother died and was even forced to kill her beloved. 2) She almost destroyed the world as she was the one that made Tony paranoid enough to build Ultron and even helped the android with his plans to destroy everything (albeit unknowingly). 3) She's heavily associated with strife and war as it was kind of her fault civil war occurred in the first place as she accidentally blew up a building while telekinetically levitating a bomber. All this shows that despite being a reluctant fighter and not meaning to cause harm, she always winds up doing so and death follows the poor woman around. I genuinely think she is going to become an antivillain or antagonist in Dr. Strange 2.

The way she tells Agatha “I don’t need you to tell me who I am” gives me Multiverse of Madness vibes. Obviously it should. But her mannerisms and the way she annunciates her words is highly impressive👏🏽👏🏽

She drained Agatha too imagine how powerful she is now...

The more I think about MoM the madder I get. WandaVision was a superb and original exploration of grief and acceptance and finally gave us a fully realized Scarlet Witch with this sequence. All its momentum seemed squandered in Multiverse of Madness. Or maybe I just wanted a happy ending for the poor woman instead of being buried under rocks after a murder spree.

This reminds me of thanos when he tried to Snap the guntlet he realizes that the stones weren’t there it backfired on him

I finally realized what makes Wanda's magic in particular so strong (besides being fueled by an infinity stone) and clever. It's bc it's so much more physical and instinctual for her. Agatha has to use spells, spoken words, a hair etc, and even when she doesn't do something outwardly, since she learned from texts, logic suggests she has to at least think of the spells themselves to do them. That splits her attention the slightest bit. Wanda's magic is much more like an interpretive dance, no need for spells and such to take away from pushing all her energy into the raw power, or the sneakiness or whatever, within the magic itself. idk if this made sense but hopefully someone gets it lol

Agatha Harkness was taking a gambit when she entered Westview. Her victory would strengthen her own powers tremendously; her defeat would spell chaos for the multiverse. Gotta be honest, Agatha did not think things through.

Agatha looked scared… I think she’s highly aware of the multiverse that’s why she told Wanda “ you don’t know what you’ve done”

It's been almost a year since this episode came out, and this scene still amazes me.

Scarlet Witch is one of the most admired characters in all of MCU.

Agatha has alot of knowledge and battle intelligence and Wanda, she has a powerful raw strength and power but she was able to trick agatha even tho she lacks them

God I love flying scenes. It just looks so natural too see two humans flying like this. Really loved how we actually got a magical energy fight in the air versus the usual, I hit you with a surge of magical energy, you hit me with a surge of magical energy, and the two energies collide and now it’s a fight for which energy hits the person. (I.E Harry Potter).

Without context, seeing the part where the suit comes on, with the red eyes, and the music, I'd assume that she's become a full villain. I love this so much.

The Scarlet Witch is a NEXUS BEING. Means there’s only ONE version of this creature throughout the vast and endless multiverse. and at this moment, 616 Wanda Maximoff became the only Wanda Maximoff in the entire multiverse to embraced the Scarlet Witch and the full power of the chaos magic. Avengers 5’s upcoming multiversal war already gives universe 616 an edge among the rest for having their secret star player.

Wanda Is Just So Powerful She's One Of The Best Characters!

All this... and for what? They wasted an enormous character as a half-assed villain in Dr Strange 2. They could have given us more Scarlet Witch, more growth before a fall. But no. Lowered to a stepping stone in Strange's own character development.

I didn't want Mephisto or Nightmare or some other 1 sided villain to show up at the last minute so this show was fun for me the whole way through

This is easily the best scene in the whole show. If I really think about it this scene Wanda manipulating Agatha, who THOUGHT she was manipulating Wanda. Wanda took advantage of the situation at the end to regain her power and take Agatha's.

In the world of power being born a redhead is the most powerful power that you can have , its a fact that red represents power thats why you see red in flags , it has alot to do with the power in blood and blood benders are very powerful but yet quite dangerous and you can inplode if you cant control your powers .
