Garf2O Oh GOD no, the "Average" player in forza games usually are rammer's in pubs. Trust me, I have over 100+ hours in Horizon 3 and if you are in the front, let everyone pass you till the first corner.

Murasaki It didn’t skip forward 3 yrs all those events that were stated in the news paper were from the night before. That wasn’t Akio with the wife and child it was Koichi Hiramoto totally new character.
To all those confused about the time skip, Akio is racing his Z when he crashes into a truck thus totaling the car. It then fasts forward to a man who loves racing. He is hanging out with friends when he gets a call saying that his wife almost had a baby. But it died. She is now having another baby. She hopes that he will leave street racing. There. Your welcome.

Shinigami, also 32, crashed. This girl used to have her 32 white, crashed. reporter dude neatly explains why they crashed: they weren't white.

It didn’t skip at all. It just moved to another part of the storyline. If it was 3 years ahead, aiko would be out of high school but hes not. This is like introducing another person into the story line.
Even the cars have no technical development. L-28 kai turbocharged but somehow the tuning is better than a Porsche 911 Turbo and a 550 hp rebored R-32? Okay.
Wtf is even happening? First they're all racing, then it cuts to the tuners past. I pause to go eat a sandwich, unpause and now they're saying Akio crashed his Z and it burnt to a crisp. Wtf is this jump?
I can't watch this like WTF was that skip? So the z crashed and is gone, there's a new person with a pregnant wife/girlfriend that used to race, AND ALL THE PEOPLE LOOK THE DAMN SAME!!!!

Edit: if Akio survived the z in flames then that means if the z didn't steer to the right a bit by itself it would have probably been Fatal for (flash back from episode 1) Tatsuya: ASAKURAAA!!!
I've noticed in this anime that almost every crash has one of those trucks involved. The truck drivers are seemingly the biggest assholes on that expressway. They switch lanes for no reason, and it always looks like they are intentionally serving into or cutting off other cars. I know large trucks have limited visibility, but come on.

For all those confused... The beginning of this chapter follows Koichi Hiramoto a retired Wangan racer, NOT Akio who’ve we’ve been follows up to this point. Their also WASN’T a time jump those events where from the night before.
This was the only episode where we see some characters cry Eriko Asakura cries after Tatsuya stops her from sinking the Devil Z Reina cries when the Devil Z is destroyed
I swear, playing this sequence with you, Ishida, Reina with Kitami, and Tatsuya in Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune is the greatest feeling, the steering wheel in your hands, a 4 way search, and then the Z shows up, and it becomes a 5 way challenge. Very fun.
Ok It's time for a rant. Why is everyone in this show so chill about the Z being stolen??? It's happened twice since the beginning of the season. And by both of the main character women. Does no one appreciate the money and time that went into that thing?? They all just stand there like "Oh well, you almost destroyed my $40,000 vehicle. But since it's ok now it's fine that you just stole my vehicle, all's well that ends well." Sorry about that, I needed to vent. 😩
Ikr.. I caught a 40 something Old hag sitting on my Z hood and I about went nuclear. I couldn't Imagine someone stealing my Z and then getting caught only to go it's O.K. bruh. nahw you getting your leggs cut off so you can do it again,, but the Japanese are a very peaceful people.
I think Hiramoto meeting Kitami was the reason he returned to racing. Him driving the tuned Testa reignited his desire for speed, just like every car Kitami tunes, and him provoking Hiramoto was the final straw
Anyone else thinking this anime could legit be used in a anti-drug campaign? It’s all there: - ordinary people working night and day to afford their addictions, to a point where it starts taking over their lives. - celebrities and rich people dumping tons of cash in order to “feel alive” by using. - Former addicts having freed themselves of their addiction only to get hooked the moment they get a wiff of it. - Loved and close ones worrying of for the addicts safety, some even becoming codependent, while the users themselves lies and acts like nothing is going on. - People committing crimes to either fund or steal what they desire most. - Heavy drugusers needing and demanding “the next big thing”, never getting enough, needing more and more because of hedonic adaptation. - a parent-to be choosing his addiction over his own wife and unborn child. I ended up feeling real bad for everyone involved. It’s unnerving how accurate it is, perhaps knowingly by the creators. The ominous music playing whenever the Z, tuning cars or “horsepower” is mentioned makes it even more unnerving.
bruh.. this is life for me.. and now I'm broke and my Z has been sitting for three years. I'm just waiting to hit the jack pot or something to dump into my car.

I can agree on that fun fact : on the live action movie, it was shown that a truck driver switched lanes as he was passing by. Ending up with the Devil Z getting destroyed
A very jarring beginning to this episode, it all makes sense by the end but the new guy looking so similar to Akio makes it confusing at first. They really needed to work more at making each character look distinct.
