Nice, I am only a little past beginner for finger picking, but this is exactly how my old teacher started me. Everything builds from the strong foundation with the thumb
Awesome Ben, watched a few of your lessons, like your Alvarez 12 fret dred! Havent been doing too well recently and as a 60+ was about to throw in the towel as dont seem to be progressing no matter how much I practice. Then this lesson popped up. Going to give it another try. Thanks for the inspiration Ben.
That's so good to hear, and has made me really happy. I sometimes go for months where it feels like I'm stuck dong nothing new, and then I'll have a week or two where everything catches up with itself, and I seem to get a load more things under my fingers.
