Great review and with a nice, not too dark tone. Could you also do the model with the 4 pickups? I wonder how they sound, if they are true single coils, etc.
I just got my DaveDavePicks Ord thumb pick. It's a game changer! I'm so impressed not only with the pick itself - very thick, smooth, carefully made - but with the packaging, thank-you note, and sweet stickers. Maybe someday I'll customize a pick like you showed here, but until then, I HIGHLY recommend the Ben Smith Ord thumb pick by DaveDavePicks!!
Great playing and a fine sounding guitar. The electronics seem really impressive. Looks like great value for money. I'd really like to hear the 12-string version!😎
I have an earlier version, no cutaway, only the one neck pickup (no bridge pickup). And natural blonde color, no staining. But otherwise very similar. I'm a crappy guitar player, but I like this one a lot! Very nice to see that someone who actually can play guitar also likes it! 😀
Super demo. It seems a very sophisticated pickup system for such an inexpensive guitar. It captures the look and sound of an old timey guitar perfectly. It reminded me of a Harmony Sovereign a friend used to have. Now If only the neck was a bit wider---but that's just me. Can't wait to hear the 12 string!
I have been a big fan of Alan Entwistle since fitting a pair of HV58 pups to my old Epiphone Les Paul. I had been imagining my perfect Les Paul sound and it was right there soon as I plugged in after the swap. I have been obsessing lately how to get that great gretsch sound without spending 'vintage correct' Gretch dollar... Turns out Alan's got my back again..!! Thanks for such a fantastic demo. Nice 👌
Hi, cool videos. I got Rockson tele for 95 euros, and i like it sound very much. For 700 euros will sound 7 times better? FRET KING Black Label Country Squire Semitone Butterscotch did you try it? thanks
I have tried thumb picks a bunch of times when I've been playing the guitar! Ive made the thumb pick very tight tell my thumb turnes purple . Every time the thumb pick turns around on my thumb! Maybe the answer is cut it down exactly like you do and suggest to do, for a smaller end that picks the strings with less pressure on the thumb pick. With less chance of moving the thumb pick?
Really interesting and versatile guitar. I like that Vintage are branching out more into their own designs. But what I really came here to comment on is how good your playing is, slipping easily between styles. Nice.
Thank you very much for you r review! I am thinking of buying a new guitar next year or so: Lakewood acoustic guitar or this Godin or a Hofner bass 🙋🤔🤔
Great review of this instrument. I have the single P90 version in cognac burst and love it. Even with just one pup, it is a very versatile instrument. Sounds great acoustic or plugged in. And, as you mentioned, it is simply gorgeous. A real fine looking instrument.
What type acoustic do you think they are best suited for? OM, parlor, dreadnaught? Also Do they have the tendency to create finger squawk sound moving up the neck? I purchased a set but have not put it on a guitar yet. I am think about putting them on my Martin 0000 size body. Thanks Great playing
Sounds great, Ben the playing and the guitar. - Plus I just purchased this guitar, based on the fact that you thought enough about it to get one for yourself, that speaks volumes.
Guitar sounds all right, only thing are those faces: does that mean it's deep? Incredible depths of your personality? I mean along with modesty n all?...
Nice series Ben -- Learned a lot with this and subbed... Request: can you do a video on how you would progress these from the I chord to the IV and V so we can put a full 12-bar progression together with these rhythms? Thanks again.
That was brilliant!! I tried a 5 string open back banjo - I was useless - so just guitars and basses for me, but that 6 string banjo exhibition was ace. Thank you.
Hi Ben, I love listening to your playing. I drove up from Cornwall to buy this guitar on Thursday. I am absolutely thrilled with the tone of this guitar. My favorite guitar is my Yamaha A3R. I have a bad shoulder to I tend to play my Yamaha CSF3M most of the time. This is so comfortable to play and I have to admit that I prefer the tone of this guitar over my Yamaha, which I never thought I would do. I bought this on the strength of you playing on the Anderton RU-vid, so I'm sorry I didn't use your link. Kind regards Terry. You're a great player. 👍
I'm aching to get one of these also and this vid probably pushed me over the edge. Unfortunately I cannot try first hand and would like to compare this to the 14 fret dreadnought version. But the gas for this particular one is great. I just may pull the trigger.
@@powell.christopher It's a great Dreadnaught for sure! This is probably my favourite of their range, apart from possibly the more expensive Laureate range, but it's close. ;-)
An extreme metal fan (admittedly Tull are my favourite band and I love Fairport!) brought here by your playing in Andertons videos. Just ordered some thumb picks, you've inspired me to try them again! 🤘🏻
I treated myself to the single P.90 version of this last year and am so pleased I did. I like Godin guitars and I also have a Godin Artisan ST that I've had since 1990.
My guitar was delivered this past Friday. Your video influenced my decision to purchase. I wanted a guitar that I could use as a beginner, but would be something my son, who plays professionally for the Navy, would not be ashamed to play during his time off, visiting home. I am extremely happy with my purchase!
Ooo nice playing! Came from your Crocodile Fender, and Gibson review on Andertons. Damn, They must give you the Crocodile Fender, you played perfectly, so suited your style :D.
