The importance of LEARNING TO WRITE and hence communicate
@tinfoilhatter
@tinfoilhatter Год назад
yes: once a song, or even a note, or poem is written, then it's gonna-be-there, supposedly, for quite awhile, - that's the idea anyhow: plus it's real intellectual property, that supposedly can't be frack'd with by anyone but the author or writer... so there's that... and not only that, but sooner or later, they'll all be written, and then, i feel sorry for the would-be-writer, in that case, haha
@KingNigelthegreat

@@tinfoilhatter none of you are really writers you don't know how to write do you know how to be arrogant you know how to patent garbage you know how to adulterate you know how to steal you know how to subject me the one you rob to your learning curve.
@KingNigelthegreat
@KingNigelthegreat Год назад
@@tinfoilhatter the whole of writing should start as such. A good writer isn't so much focused on the words as he is on the arithmetic which the human eye does not see behind the language they often confuse the two as one in the same. Xx. Is that really true though? Xxx. If you notice there's unseeable columns the first column is where I put my singularity. That might sound weird or strange but as do others but I don't think they're aware to the arithmetic as they could be. I am one who notices there's certain words that fit within this column I can only point out by laying letters and words over top. Today. There is. I do. We are. To name a few examples. And why do you think that is? There's a first person singularity a second spot which could be a second person singular and a third person singular... Which opens up a versatility to writing as a whole. It's almost like the trinity. III notice even there's an alchemic process in there as the writer fulfills the body of the message they can also fulfill the words within the body. Which adds depth and impact. Together the arithmetic into what could be seen as a pool of water in which there are currents that will give way to intensity, build up, trigger points. Where is the arithmetic and language can even be crossed over bringing forth through perhaps a wormhole various spirits or entities. This I've seen in the religious texts being applied to the point that the books or the text has been alive since the moment of its creation. Most of which has been cleverly hidden in parables and likened to perhaps sparrows on a branch. The letters can be fashioned across a 4Dimensional plane which is the mind and imagination and he clapped. Go. And the sparrow's flew off. And instead of compete with the imagination perhaps writers can fulfill even the imagination which allows them to bring forth even more abilities with writing. Some of which cut out debate entirely arguing or questioning the message and communication passes through in conveyance to a reader with little resistance. Smoother than speech which is more 3dimensional based. In writing the ability to bypass the 3rd dimension and even forth dimension becomes more readily at hand working up to the completion over and across the 4thdimension and reaching the 5th dimension which has different elements and structure than the 4th dimension. The 40 Nights and 40 days. 4D. What rests in the 5th dimension is all pure base elements, steady constants, that which is above and immutable or inexhaustible like Elijah's bag of flour. The text and message written can be considered bread. B read. A slice of bread from unleavened flat 2D no yeast or question about it with practice and skill over time so then the eastwind runs crossways west to east. Why east? The yeast added becomes much like kneading and making bread. The dough rises occupying our mind and mental again with pictures. Picturing a round almost ball shaped loaf of bread. A slice of thought. A piece of our mind. Which was void and empty prior to making the bread. Jesus said I am the bread. Which ties into how what we write can be there forever almost like the bread of life which Jesus talked of. So having said that I would recommend any reader to check out some of the writing styles in the dogma and religious texts as opposed to fiction books and writings we're more familiar with by authors. An August night passing a shooting star through it's sky auto au and against the author another one falling from above onto the writing au being astronomical unit in it's abbreviation music tunes begin to bloom into the overcast ahead they rise in volume. Impact. Intensity. III use to create a remembering in memories whenever you mention me by the intention to send readers I ascend from the depths of which so splendidly. Reread it again find something new of which before you'd never seen prior by the word which were inspired to write. hi. Tonight hiding concealing tied in with wires and feeling acquiring my version and style and sealing by My Name. Smiled. Cheering. High spirits of which come alive inside each revealing nearly eclipsed to appear here in the midst and going back inside it was here that they live

Paul Graham has an excellent 2004 essay on his site, ‘The Age of the Essay’ that investigates we go the poor writing instruction in schools. I would have loved to have had a course based on ‘Freshman Rhetoric’, Slater (1913) rather than what I was taught in the 1970s. It is infuriating that what and how to teach writing was “lost” in the mid-2oth century.

I was thinking about whether or not I should start a Substack account where I write my opinions on theology, politics, and philosophy… Being a young female who will graduate High School in 2023, I feel very discouraged and almost embarrassed to have these ideas because I’ve had a lot of moments where people were stating that because I am young, I don’t know anything. I can say that I know I haven’t lived a full life, I still have years ahead of me, but books and informational videos like this have guided me. Studying the scriptures, reading, asking questions, making observations from the people around me, has helped me immensely. Jordan Peterson has inspired me to broaden my horizons and expand my love of learning. There is still so much that I don’t know, but I’m willing to confront what I do know, and ask questions

I agree, I think starting writing now would be a magnificent asset for you, especially if you keep it up. I've looked back at some of the writing I did years ago and a lot of it I disagree with, but some is even profound when I read it now. It's ok to totally disagree with things I wrote years ago, or even last year, or even yesterday. Often the writing helped to develop my thinking so that I could move on into new thinking. Writing things out will help you develop your ideas into something better so when you look back in 20 years time it WILL look like you didn't know anything, but it's not a problem because why wouldn't you learn a lot in 20 years from now? But you have to start somewhere and you should write what is on your mind now. Just do a couple of crafts so you know you're happy with it when you publish it, and try to avoid publishing anything online that you think could come back to haunt you, it's funny what people are dragging up these days from the internet graveyard to make others look bad. So just be careful what content you choose, make sure you do a couple of drafts so you are happy with it, and then enjoy writing out your ideas the best you can

You'll never realize just how wrong you are until you try to authentically argue for why you're right. Writing your thoughts and arguments down is a great way to keep your mind from going into a self-justifying loop of confirmation bias, especially if you do the same when "steelmanning" the opposition's argument. Which is why those who are wrong avoid facts and resort to feelings. "Your man has been accustomed, ever since he was a boy, to have a dozen incompatible philosophies dancing about together inside his head. He doesn’t think of doctrines as primarily ‘true’ or ‘false’, but as ‘academic’ or 'practical', ‘outworn’ or ‘contemporary’, ‘conventional’ or ‘ruthless’. Jargon, not argument, is your best ally in keeping him from the Church. Don’t waste time trying to make him think that materialism is true! Make him think that it is strong, or stark, or courageous-that it is the philosophy of the future. That's the sort of thing he cares about..." -CS Lewis, The Screwtape Letters.

Read literature then find essay prompts online about said literature. Write a bunch of papers, then hire a tutor for one session to correct them and give you feedback. A major tip I can give you is write your best first attempt, then try and remove as many unnecessary words as possible. Good writing is terse, compact, and tight. You don’t want to be long winded. Avoid run on sentences. Avoid unnecessary adjectives, adverbs, and words of emphasis - make your argument itself do the heavy lifting. Good luck, you’ll never regret learning to write well.

I kept a daily journal - one day per page - for about three years (then I decided to take a break and never took an unbreak 😅). Making myself write one page per day was amazing - and having a limit was perfect because if I didn't have much to write I would have to think of writing more, and if I had too much to write I had to think how to write less. Having a set amount to write very day was absolutely ideal. I would say you can learn to write by just writing, preferably every day so you can improve on your feedback, but reading quality literature and practising writing best practise (I.e. learning from lessons on writing, and probably doing essays, etc) will get you there much faster. But yes, you can simply learn to write by writing and then practising and improving.

I understand that the field employees do not have an education in properly writing and we must be able to still engage in the issue past the way of how it was formulated. But I always wonder how much more could be achieved by a proper letter, with a start, a middle part and an end. Write about the reason for the letter, lay out the problems and their consequences and formulate a possible solution or at least the willingness to sit at the table and discuss and negotiate. Unfortunately to be well articulated is a much underestimated skill and I focus much more on language and literacy since I understand what a powerful tool it is.

Right. Knowing how to read and write doesnt mean you know what you are doing or that what one reads was a truthful book. A Soldiers life can be build on illusions. Many come out of that illusion after having seen the war and who they really fight against. - Militarism for USA but not for Germany.

1:25 He missed the Golf-War and didnt know when the next war is going to happen. "I missed that war", "Heart is broken". Not "I diplomatically prevented that war" or "Im happy to not have fought a war of which i had no idea about who the enemy really is" . Train Foreign-Nationals: Either NATO or Pro-West (forces who fight against the Libyan,Syrian,Afgahni,Iraqi Nations). Example: Show Vassal-Germany what target to mark in Syria, a war without Mandate followed by a Internationally Illegal annexation of Syrian land. - I have this book of a US General "make your bed" or something. I checked the career of that General. Those wars they promoted have all been based on lies. The Incubator Baby's, weapons of mass destruction, Chemical weapons, Syrias poison-gas ... may we pay attention to the recent war-history in Ukraine, what created that conflict? All we hear is "USA,USA,USA vs Russia,Russia,Russia". Bad, bad, bad Nationals who want to remain "Independent". - Before you learn how to write, you better learn how to think and know yourself. Before you cant wait to go to war, you better know what that war is about.

You don’t know what you’re talking about. Jocko has gone into it in depth on his podcast. He agrees war is hell and should be prevented at all costs. He always says that before he mentions that thankfully him and his buddies LOVED COMBAT you want seals that don’t? They want to go to war if war is happening, they don’t want their guys to die, they go through more pain around war than any of us INCLUDING YOU. Do your research first, he makes it very clear war needs to be avoided at all cost but when you dedicate you’re entire life to fighting for this country, you get anxious hoping there is an enemy that wants to tests your countries might, sorry you can’t handle that truth of the world. Listen to him talk about war on his podcast before you judge so heavily.

In fact, Jockos favorite book of all time is “About Face” it is about the famous General Hackworth that lost his title because halfway thought he Vietnam war he decided the war was unjust and wrong and it needed to end. That’s Jockos favorite person because of that. He isn’t some pro war barbarian you better shut the fuck up before you spread lies about war hero’s more courageous than you’re entire family history will ever be

@@rktsnail Im born and raised on a Military-Base. Im not the Master, but you wouldnt want to claim that we Germans dont know what we are talking about, ey? - Besides, when will the USA retreat from Germany?

I happen to agree - his ideas in his writing are good but it was hard work reading it and could have been better. I enjoyed Charles Darwin's Theory of Evolution by Natural Selection, the first edition from Wordsworth Classics. Apparently later editions got bogged down in addressing criticism of the theory but I found this one very readable and well written. The thing about modern authors is that it seems nobody is allowed to have ideas of their own - everything has to be referenced. Darwin was free to write whatever he thought and say "I think..." without having to back it up with what other people think 😅. I found it incredibly refreshing compared to most similar modern works. Of course, he had an enormous collection of his own firsthand data. I had learnt about the theory of natural selection at university but it was always summarised into a few principles - I started to wonder if any of my lecturers had actually read the book itself! I decided to read it one day and it was really good. A lot more readable than I expected
