I like the bumper mounted winch too. I run a Warn 9rc on a Rough Stuff front bumper. **SOLID**.

I imagine the stock EPS cutouts might go away with this unit as well since it appears nearly all the extra force is absorbed by this module. However, with the shaft design the force is being partially transferred to the opposing side of the rack as an outward force (presuming an impact on one side). With a big jump landing the force is coming in from both sides, and would be absorbed the the sliding rod material. Couldn't tell from the video, but the material selection for that shaft is kinda a big deal. It basically acts like a steering dampener proportionate to the elastic properties of that shaft material.

actually (tells you I've not been in school in a while...) the aluminum piece connecting the tie rod to the slider for this unit acts to absorb/transfer tie rod shock. *That* piece takes shock impact as a spring load and xfers the load to the sliding shaft. some force will still be xfered to the rack, but a lot less that without. Perhaps less than 20% if I had to guess

We have made several over the years but in summary we are still running the stabilizer and same rack we installed this on back in 17’

Yes unfortunately you got to swap the rack out. Look at wicked bilt or satv rack boss. Shock therapy builds a nice unit but pricey

Jeffery Cleckler short answer yes. You either have to shorten the bolts that come with it or bolt or find shorter bolts. The bolt that needs modifying is just the one that hooks the stabilizer to the rack and pinion. Since we have been running these we have not had to replace a single rack!

Hopefully your not going very fast because it could be dangerous. When the rack breaks you loos and steering capabilities of your machine.

SlikRok Productions so when i hit wash board roads or bumps i feel/hear a loud clunk noise at the floor board of the rzr do you think it might be a steering rack?

I dont think that would be your rack. If it were your rack you would definitely know. Could be your frame, could be any of your suspension bolts or shock bolts. Make sure to give everything a good once over and make sure they are tight.

We noticed it a little and realized the stabilizer was at a little bit of an angle creating a bind.
