War Hospital is a World War One game but with a bit of a twist, because instead of trying to take lives like most WW1 games, in this one we're trying to save lives!
We run a field hospital in 1918 and it's a bit grim to be honest. Resources are scarce, the staff are few and casualties are constant. Initially we deal with a few lightly injured people with our one Doctor but soon we receive more seriously injured people.
There's then the difficult decisions about who to treat. Do we spend a long time treating one seriously injured soldier who might not make it, or do we use that time to treat three soldiers so we can get them back onto the front line?
We hire staff and assign them to workplaces so we can get things done. Medical teams move patients around, engineers do repairs, nurses care for people, that sort of thing.
There are also upgrades to work on to make our buildings, which are ramshackle at best, a bit more effective, and resources to request.
However it is a war and we receive news that the Germans are going to attack, which means we have to heal people up and send them into the trenches. If we don't hurry up or too many soldiers die, we could be overrun...

The year is 1918. You are major Henry Wells, a retired British combat medic, drafted back to take charge of a field hospital in the nightmare of World War I. Understaffed and undersupplied, the hospital is the last bastion of hope for countless soldiers on the Western Front.
Your main aims are to keep up your team's morale, and support the war effort with the soldiers you have treated.
To do so, you need to manage your hospital to take charge of the flood of injured soldiers brought in after every battle. Make sure to admit the patients in order of priority, before treating them, scheduling surgery or abandoning them to their fate...
Resources are limited despite the ever-increasing needs… Learn to adapt to each new situation, taking sometimes morally tough decisions.
Decide on improvements to make to your facilities, and use the latest technologies available to military medicine.
