I don't know which is worse: Getting invaded by Martian Tripods or A War to end all wars that lasted 4 years that didn't end all the wars but it changed the world forever.
I agree one of the worst things you can experience in ww1 is the first tanks because there were olmost no anti tank weapons back then and the flamethrower which is basically the same thing as you throw a Mach into the fireplace but you used like 6-8 bottles of alcohol
We can talk about all of these sci-fi scenarios and power fantasies, but nothing can destroy humanity and cause pain and misery better than humanity itself (which is sad, but true)
