Once the Super Tomcat comes out I'm done with warthunder grind, only top tier jet I'll ever play.

I feel the need to explain some stuff for the newbies commenting on the F-14Ds weaponry. The F-14D is still semi-classified, but there are plenty of valid sources showing the Aim-120A was capable of being used with it, and it was going to happen anyways. We are getting to the part of history where things are still military secrets, so I think the F-14D would be a good place to start basing things off of logic and research. And for the record, all planes that carry Aim-9M are compatible with the 9X, so that includes planes like the F-16C, F-15A, and F-14B and D. However, planes like the F15A and F-14B will probably not upgrade to maintain their BR.

They should add the XF-84H Thunderscreech

There are so many aircraft left to add for both the US and Russian tech trees. However, particularly egregious to me is the fact that there isn't a tech tree A-6 in the game yet...

We absolutely need the F-18 they've had so many opportunities to add it and it would give so msny countries a great jet also it's a naval fighter so it should be in the f14 line

B-36 Peacekeeper, XP-67 Moonbat, Fisher P-75 Eagle, MD XF-85 Goblin, XB-70 Valkyrie and more...

F15E - Strike eagle. Aside from the super Hornet, this onde is the goat.

honorable mention a6e swip , or EA-6B ( mainly the ability to have seed - anti radar missiles , that way there is some way to combat stuff like the panstier in top tier ground lobbies

Actually, @6:50 you say the f18 is an evolution of the f14. The f18 was essentially the navy’s light fighter, they were operational the whole time. The f/a-18 (super hornet) is the evolution of the f14, it can carry up to 14(12?) missiles 12 amraams and 2 sidewinders. Which would be….a bit broken

At this point, adding the F-18 would be dead on arrival since it would be 12.0+ BR and go against FOX 3's with only Sparrows, they should've added it with Air Superiority update with the better AIM-7P Sparrows that has IOG+DL

I think we'll get the F-14D in the september/november patch. December one is def gonna be F/A-18A or C. Depending on if they want to keep the "Summer update = top gun update" tradition

A10C has WAY WAY WAY better Optics and sensors, targeting pods, better Jammers. Helmet Display and cuing system, Aim9Ms, APKWS/AGR20A/20A(PF)/20B/20C/20E, Zunis, LG Zunis, Mavericks, LG bombs, Jdams, Cluster bombs, CBU97 and 105 SFWs. i think the A10C would be a good 10.7 (11.0-11.3 ground if it gets the SFWs) the A10A E/L are crap and need to go down to 9.7 (10.0 GRB) The F18A/C/E need to come too for navy, and maybe B/D/F for Marines. (if russia gets Mig25 or 31, then the Super Hornet needs to AIM-174B for balance) the A6E SWIP (with Aim9Ms, SLAMs, Walleyes, Mavericks (including the Laser guided Mavrick), Harpoons, Mk20 Rockeye AT clusters, Harms, (MK46 LWT) and LGBs needs to be added badly too and the improved FLIR. is something ive wanted forever. It would be a great 10.7 though it really shouldn't be any higher. Id also like the UH1Y with AGR20A PF, and AGR20C Heat rockets added to US at 9.0 thats all the flying stuff i want the most.

F-14D , with AIM-9M and AIM-54C+ . For people that don't know , i quote from NAVAIR: AIM-54C+ High Power Phoenix Improved variant developed by Hughes for F-14D. Contains internal heaters, which eliminates need for temperature conditioning liquid, high-power Traveling Wave Tube (TWT) transmitter adapted from the AIM-120 AMRAAM, and low-sidelobe antenna. Latest version of RPM substitutes 6 ultra-high-speed computer chips for 45 of earlier, less-capable chips. Full-scale development began in August 1987. First test flight of fully upgraded missile on 14 August 1990 scored a direct hit on a QF-4 drone. Now if they bring the REAL G-Limit for AIM-54C+ only to 25G (even if it's not 40 like AMRAAM) is more than enough, given it has better range and it has as good guidance as AIM-120A/B. Also APG-71 would be the best radar on the game (comparing with the current planes) . It would be pretty formidable , even without AMRAAMs. Other than this, F-4G along with introducing ECM/ECCM mechanics (which would help much in the ARH meta) would be nice. F-102/F-106 should appear in the game as well , if anything F-106 service was long lasted in USAF/ANG. And... A-4M or any ...better A-4 variant! Those planes had a part in history as well. And last but not least , F-18s... which we should already have but we don't.

F-14D in wt would be cool, but I don’t play wt anymore *BUT…* F-14D in DCS would be craaaazy (sadly Heatblur doesn’t have enough info retaining to the aircraft’s sensors and systems)

I think they should branch from the F-14A, put the F-18A next to the F-14A and the F-18C under the F-18A. The A-6E SWIP should go in the tech tree. The S-3B would make an interesting Event vehicle.

5 aircrafts we should have in 2024 in the USSR tree (imo): 1. MiG-25 - yes its mach 3 and its an interceptor jet not suitable for dogfights but why not. 2. Su-24 3. Tu-16 or Tu-95 4. Su-30 or Su-30M2 (versions without vector thrust)

I think the F14D is absolutely needed because as things are, the F14B is only ever facing 13.0 and it simply doesn’t stand a chance with its radar constantly losing track and being unable to see targets within a few miles of it. I have better luck with it never turning the radar on and only using 9L’s once I can be sure they’re enemy.

Honestly the F-4G would’ve been pretty cool, yes it’s just an upgraded E with a better radar and jamming or if we can’t have that just an F-4E with a better radar and not the F-4S/J. The external gunpod and 60 countermeasures is just stupid to me and I’m pretty sure the later E variants could carry the 7Ms and 9Ls. While this is unnecessary it would’ve been cool to see before we started adding 4th Gens

F/A-18A at 12.0, F/A-18C at 13.0 10 AIM-120 + 2 AIM-9 and yes it can turn like the Su-27 at the cost of his energy P-40N F4U-5 F8F-2 Honestly… the USA tech tree is very well done, i wanna see better the implementation of the AESA radar and the 4+ gen airplanes

The F-14 AIM-120 pictures you showed were of the PMTC F-14A used during the development of the AMRAAM, not an F-14D F-14D AMRAAM was proposed but was not pursued

Hot take : How about the Apache and Apache LongBow instead of incorrect broken models with huge dead zones in aim mode and missing helmet mounted Track-IR like some modern jets and correct long-bow missiles and 360 x 20 degrees radar instead of 90 x 50 degrees radar. And stalls when yaw is applied which is ridiculous. And also turns right with no control inputs while in aiming mode throwing the nose into aiming mode targeting dead zones. Broadly complete radars to have anti radiation missiles come to the game. Yes A-10C. F-111C for Australia and Australian & Canadian subtree for Britain.

I hear you and while I wouldn't mind seeing these jets, aside from the F-86H they are more than the map system can deal with. I'd rather see some fillers put into the game like F101, F6U, F7U, F5D, A-5 Vigilante, B-45, B-66, etc... Nothing game breaking, except maybe the A-5, but planes that are missing.

We have parts of F18 everywhere but still no F18...

The bomber/strike tech trees, if you won't introduce things like the B-52, B-1B, B-2, F-117, etc, should end on the F-18E Super Hornet and the F-15E Strike Eagle. Other planes makes no sense to be the top tier choice on these fields.

The F-14D did have the software to carry AIM-120's and it was eventually planned to integrate them, but it never happened.

F-14D will be late rank 8 premium or a squadron vehicle. Digital radar won't make AIM-54C and AIM-7M any more precise or capable, at best the improved radar will only improve the jet to F-15A offensive standards, 13.0 BR. It's an almost there but not enough to matter improvement. Like F-20. It's almost as good as F-16A but just not quite there. Firing a Phoenix at jets with good RWR, they'll notch and evade as usual. Firing a Sparrow M, meh you're in a less capable F-15A. Jet doesn't fit tech tree at all especially in the face of the far more agile F/A-18 and x10 AMRAAM.

what about the b36.. a very unique bomber or a A6 tech tree version or continue more bombers, im tired of all these top tier fighters and no love for ww2 / Vietnam or even bombers

USA does not need anything for the duration of this entire year. Russia only needs good ARH missiles with range. Rest are either dying(looking at Britain and Germany) or need more aircraft than USA who currently have undeniably the best air superiority fighter and CAS options. Just.. stop

f14d didnt carry the aim120, the images you showed was from f14a and the missile was illuminated by another radar, it can carry more modern sparrows and better aim54s, still want to see this plane though

wouldnt the a10c be the end of that line? i dont see any other attackers they could add after that. also the f18 will be in the f14 line because its a multirole fighter, not a strike aircraft so it makes more sense there edit: maybe f117 would be the end of the attacker line
