Gajin is not touching insanely good players. Years ago i reported a cheater (with full recording), he was insanely good, but the only thing what Gajin done, it was warning me against slandering (yup) a perfect player from a Russian clan. Moreover that guy was so blatant, that he even twisted my nick and used is as his own (my was and is Rohen and his was Roen).... So no one will tell me, that Gajin is fighting with cheaters in any way.
the difference here is EAC is only being used as a management program they are not actively using it to detect players.. they built their own software that was checking whether the stats matched up with previous stats before and if the % of stats that increased seemed odd or not right it would auto ban them which was very successful. here in war thunder you can't quite do that here since its an fps game still so there are no hard stats to check like in elden ring.
EAC is not hard to bypass... The elden ring situation is probably because no one bothered to make better cheats for it yet. Most cheaters don't make the cheats themselves, they download them from somewhere. World of tanks has a completely different in-house anti-cheat specifically made for the game and it still doesn't stop people. EAC doesn't stop people in war thunder. EAC doesn't stop people in VRChat either. As long as there's a big enough demand for it and someone willing to create it, cheats will always find a way through unfortunately, and games like these two examples just so happen to have a big demand for cheats.
@@RedVRCC Wargaming also goes by a 100% server side system so its hard to manipulate info. if the server doesnt think you are there, you arent there. makes it alot more prone to bugs and rubberbanding, but it was nice to know its like less than 1% that it was a hacker and more just some Chinese or Vietnamese wallet warrior that killed you
They did have their own version of the game and then Gaijin shut it down. Combined with the krona veeroos lockdowns, this is the resulting mandarin-ridden hellscape we now toll in
for a long time Region locked Asian players couldnt play with the rest of the world. Majority would stop playing to spit Gajin on that. Gajin in their wisdom to bring back player base allowed them to come back... the reason why they were blocked was due to all the cheating that they make up 80% of the cheater base
Unfortunately that's not enough, spreading it that is, you can tell 100,000 people not to play, but I guarantee the cheaters will still log in, regardless of how many bans they get.
We need a group of people to track the money trail through the cheat developers to see if gaijin is directly involved, as some people say they have to be involved financially for as many cheaters to stay in the game and for as long.
@@Armcock That's why I'm in favour of a shadowban that ensures that cheaters are banned to a server where they play against bots and their ilk without being told. Let them play, let them pay. Enough time will pass before they realise that they are playing against other cheaters. And even then ... what are they going to do?
@@oldie-se 100% agree, only lasts so long, once they realize the jig is up. On the flip side since gaijin uses their own client alongside of steam, they should be issuing vac bans and hardware/ip bans. If they can't use the client to log in anymore then hopefully no more recycling accounts. Granted spoofers are getting ridiculous, they aren't bulletproof. Cheating is in such a state that there are teams dedicated to maintaining these cheat programs and ensuring they have very little downtime. It has gotten out of control. As the person below me stated too, gaijin could very well be in on it, it has been a long standing theory that they are the developer of their own problem and they use it to profit more. I couldn't agree more that we need to stop giving them money and time, I have at least, but there is no telling if that will even come close to rectifying the issue.
After nearly 50,000 battles and 11 years of playing, I have now started playing a lot less. The game and its player base is just shit now. Players are either lazy cheaters or utter morons.
Same here, Started in 2012, didn't play for a long Time, started playing again in 2019 and in the past 4 Years alone the Game got so bad in terms of Playerbase and Cheating Issues that I can just not play this anymore. Just today got killed by at least 2 Cheaters shooting through a Forest and killing me from about 1km away through at least 8 to 12 Trees.
Anytime I say anything about this game a bunch of roaches crawl out and start defending it. Player base is a bunch of insufferable idiots who can’t team play, with unbalanced biased bs
@@cerkurkafelst7335 they don’t show the full shell path. It just shows where the shell hit you, the damage and then black screens and shows the enemy. You won’t be able to tell the distance of the shot, the travel path, and really you can’t tell if it’s a legitimate shot.

I remember getting accused of hacking once a few years ago. I killed the guy basically point blank as the smoke was clearing. They messaged me, and I responded to it all wrong. I didn't know cheating was happening like this. I thought cheating was reletively hard in this game, and the real cheaters got banned because of how obvious it had to be.
I am very much of the mind that using cheat programs in games should turn into a lawsuit. First a warning then loss of all online game privileges. Is that excessive? Yes. Do I care? No. Make people be accountable for their actions. If countries don’t want to abide by these rules then remove whatever servers allow that country to play. Something about bad apples ruining it for everyone else.

@@rogaldorn1965 That's a common perception when you don't understand how software development works. The issue here is clear. Their structure to combat the problem to do manual checks, is ineffective and not efficient enough to keep this problem under control. There has to be a simplified process with the security team and automation tools they need to help flag accounts for review. No game company should rely on the player base to report them. Because the majority of them don't take the time to file a detailed report. They mostly type in basic words like "cheater" that makes the report vague and difficult to process. Also, way over 90% of reports tend to be rage reports. Players who get outplayed and use the report tool to spite the player that took them out.

@i_termx_i3854 same with anything to do with gaijin, they do everything in the laziest way possible that is the least amount of work for them. They use automated stat checks to determine br's for vehicles the same as they mainly use automated systems to find cheats, they only use manual labour to check they are cheats after the automated system finds them (or players find and report them)
This is exactly why I stopped playing Warthunder. The development team has the absolute weakest anti cheat and they seem to think ban waves will win people like me over. I will admit, I do play it about once a moth for maybe 3 rounds. Aside from that, I don't touch it.
“Astra” is another one , 20 kills in the first few minutes takes a bomber , every bomb hits a tank dead on moving or not. Despite me being 80% in the top 3, this guys manages to kill me all 3 times in like 4 min with me having 0 kills.
I think I ran up against Astra last night. Managed to kill 8 tanks before being killed. After his last kill on me, I ghost-watched him because I was suspicious. Watched him follow a tank that was flanking him, after he killed him, he went back and spawn-watched 3 more tanks as they deployed. Managed to damage 2 of them before he got finished off.
Not to be confused with 'Astro' then, whom I believe to be a Scottish RU-vidr called OddBawz who seems pretty legit and who can be insanely good on occasion.
A lot of us loved playing War Thunder. Sadly because of these cheaters we dont bother playing anymore. Seems there is more cheaters than legit players now.
There are more Gaijin people active on the different forums shutting down threads about people cheating than there are Gaijin people actually dealing with cheaters. Its more dangerous for their game when people talk about banning cheaters than having actual cheaters in the game. The "but we have EAC" bullshit isnt cutting it. Gaijin is more concerned about protecting their game and cash flow than protecting YOU from the cheaters.

Had a weird one today. An invisible tank. Couldnt see him, even though flat desert with no bushes or buildings. His light tank icon stayed on in the mini map the whole time even though they weren't close enough to spawn for that to be the reason his icon stayed lite. Anyone that came out of spawn and tried to shoot him based on guessing by the mini map got 1 shotted.
I had am invisible mi-4 take me out with a missile even though I was watching the direction he killed me from (the missile was also invisible and no cable)
WHAT?!?! Stop cheaters why would they want to do that?? I have stopped playing because of aim bots like this.. I came over from WoT because of cheating there was so bad by russian players.. now its been rampant over on here... why bother playing now.
most people be like bro you hating. Skills matter etc etc. But ive been saying there is still a ton of hackers/ cheaters... there is tons of New accounts running 6.3 or higher with less then 400 games.
Gaijin doesn't care about cheaters because they delay players' progress, which may cause players to buy top tier premium vehicles. It's equivalent to reducing the RP gains, that's why they do "waves" of bans, instead of instantly banning the players as soon as possible like in games without progress like CS2
Yeah, the average is what's ridiculous. I think my best vehicle as a relatively good player was 3 kills to deaths. Most tanks I played were 2 to 1 or 1 to 1 with a few that went to 3 to 1 or 4 to 1 but usually 4 to 1 was in vehicles I didn't play a ton so the sample size was small. This is a huge sample size and very, very few players can average 6 to 1 for hundreds of games. Not to mention the guy is terrible at the game and the only reason he does any good is because he clearly can see enemies through the terrain. I don't get how the stats alone don't draw a lot of attention. And the higher up the BR's you go the harder it is to get those high KDRs.
Holly shit never knew this is possible! this is so obvious. They need to review all top players gameplay manually like people at CS do, this is disgusting. After seing this im gonna wonder about cheaters every game. WHAT A SHAME
I've been recording every game I play and then review. The game has a 50% + aim botters per match on the minimum. Weekends is the worst time. It's now almost comical. Level 6 players in the top 3 all the time. It's to a point no point in playing anymore

I've been voting with my wallet for years now.....not just over the cheating but the piss poor matchmaking, shitty small maps for modern vehicles so you can't take full advantage of them (ironically playing into Russian vehicles advantages) etc. The game has so much potential let down by the very developers/publishers that made it.

Even very big or good youtubers would ever spread this because even they think anyone can be better then them. But they don't realize how cheater infestet this game really is.
I've been gaming for almost 40 years and I've never cheated in a multiplayer game. I enjoy getting hard or improbable kills after processing through my grey matter!
I've experienced cheating at lower br, I was playing the kv-220 and got shot through 3 bushes from someone and perfectly pens me, never saw me or anything.
That could equally be low graphics settings removing bushes or making them thinner and easier to see through (equally scummy imho when console gamers are in same matches and cant reduce graphics the same way, in my eyes its the same level of cheating). You need to watch the server replays (not your own replay, there is a link ingame you can use that opens up the web page for you) if you see them snapping to targets or watching players through buildings across the map you know 100% they're cheating.
it's becoming common to find cheater in games, i played dota 2 and found some cheaters during play... it's fucking disgusting... i had seen that Cod comunity is suffering with cheats too. this kind of ppl are asking to cheat in game become a crime... or games get destroyed.
Cheaters(botting, unlimited mana, no skill cooldown, insta-kill, aimbot/wallhacks/speed hacks, infinite currency, unkillable, etc.) in online games have been around since 20 years ago. Best get used to seeing them and develop some form of tolerance to the mfs as they're likely never going away anytime soon. 😂
Cheating is pretty easy in any game nowadays, there's a new device called DMA that allows you to read and write to memory without anti cheat ever being able to detect because the cheat operates at the kernel level.
Just dont spend money on micro or macro transactions in games, its pretty much always a scam from companies that put in the minimum possible effort like the snail or BHVR
I met lots of auto-cannon-branch-locker and perspective cheats in RB mod, and reported by the server replay on official website, nothing happened, the cheater is still running on. Gaijin doesn't care the chests.
I stop playing War Thunder the week I started, tanks go sliding all over the place, then there is no way to slow down the the gunners site from flying all over the place, so it's impossible to aim the gun.
I see this sort of thing along with other kinds of strange goings on pretty much every day, (and between the hours of 1400 and 1800 cet it's always way worse). For the most part, i do still really enjoy playing the game. But when wierd things like this happen, i find it better to simply quit and join the next match.
Actually I think the best way to find cheaters is if gaijin had a better kill cam, if you don't know; the kill cam just shoots a lazer from where they are to you, if they had an accurate cam like having the real drop off and everything, and or have an optional view from a distance rather than following the round. Yes, ik in replays. You can see everything, but it's better to have it then and there bc you might forget or say screw it.
I believe the players on the red tanks cheat more than the players like myself. Some of the shots are unrealistic. The red tanks will disappear off the map and reappear somewhere else. Or disappear when you get locked on. I can tell you many more stories about previous experiences with war thunder cheating. If you could explain why this is a problem with WT that would be great. Cheating will always be a case. It's a cat and mouse game, really. Unless you let the anti cheat cease control over your entire computer down to a point where you basically boot straight into the game.
cheating will never stop. If it was more known to the public then maybe same thing would happen with game as with the money changes and the steam reviews. The one thing Gaijjn hates if something hurts their income , and they have to act to minimize that

I dont have the guys ID but his player name is 19JaGUaR91 and has 1000+ kills with only 300 deaths in a sherman. he lasered me 2km away in a BTR then quit after calling him out.
Even if dude was cheating, wouldn't matter. You don't need a sub, nor do you need to buy into the game, they can make a new account and continue the stupidity.
detecting cheats is not an easy job, and aproving bans manualy is a good thing. Imagine your account is flagged cose the sound mod and your account gets banned automaticaly.

I have seen an increase in cheating players the past 6 months in war thunder worst was a brumbar firing 1200 metre away from start of match diving along turns right behind hill fires no enemies on map kills enemy carrys on left turns again fires kill all the time behind cover enemy over 900 meters away he not seen on map using aim bot start to finish reported him .
You don't need admin rights or make any server side changes. The program works on your own computer, I'm guessing the way it works is something to do with the network signals that let your computer know where the other players are e.g your war thunder client needs to know when it needs to render the other teams tanks so it needs to know where they are, what direction they're facing l, what tank theyre using etc.
Warthunder has me convinced that Hunter B1den is leading the dev team. It is the only way to explain the consistently bad design choices of this developer.

for one they should give you a job since you shurn those vids prety fast, and for 2 those acount have a shit ton of premium on them so making the snail money. they wont act until the account is flaged too much or that they stop giving them money...

Dude most ppl was rage cheating before gaijin paid attention for YEARS without getting banned, yes these people you see locking on and obvious af well those didnt get banned at all for years. Then most people doing wagers and tournaments started cheating and when the cheating on tournaments got so bad it was rage cheater vs rage cheater then they started doing something, yet it doesnt matter because most of these people use a DMA wich is probably not getting detected in WT for a good couple years. The war overlay spam was crazy.
To be honest, I dont blame anyone for cheating in war thunder. Everyone knows that the grind is painfull, if the guy has all of the tanks on sweden then cheating with that nation is a cunt move. Also my dumbass woudnt even watch the replay if I got shot 2km away, I would just alt+f4 or leave the match and play some other nation.
The thing that bothers me, is these guys who blatantly cheat, dont even care if they get banned, they have 10 other accounts lined up and laugh every game they win.
Which is why laid-back twice annual 'whatever we came up with for the last few months' ban waves don't work. You have to have an aggressive system that constantly and immediately bans based on heuristics with high accuracy. Which takes thought time and design and labor hours which cost money. Which they don't think their player base is worth doing for.
@@CyberneticArgumentCreator That's why we have Kernel based anti cheat, however as some people mentioned gaijin doesn't really use EAC except for as a management tool. It might help a bit more if they were actually using it. I've actually had conversations with people on how malicious the game is in its gameplay, as well as gaijins business practices. If they(as some people insinuated) involved in helping with the development of cheats, it wouldn't be surprising. The game gets people to spend money through psychological warfare most of the time, especially towards F2P players, Ive also theorized that they have a system to harass people in game for example when you're grinding vehicles and it's fine for hours, then when you're within 10-20% complete you start getting lobbies where you can't get any points or anything, it hits hard especially if you're a F2P account, this is one of a few examples I've made over the years. But I digress, between cheaters and the game itself, I like it but considering we don't have many other choices we continue to cope.
Here we can see a player that probably isnt even that bad at the game without cheats using them to get completely insane numbers, which most cheaters dont get as they are completely trash in the game
He seems pretty bad to me, considering he can see enemies through the terrain and he doesn't do good threat assessment nor does he pick targets he can actually hit. I don't think he would be very good without the cheats, but that's besides the point anyway.
He wasn't even in B1 when you said he was , tbh it doesn't even look like he's cheating half the time it just looks like he's a shit player that got lucky. And to be fair ive seen way better long shots than the ones he was pulling off when you brought up that positioning.
The slimey Zlog won`t make the anticheat work cause they are using it to control the game. New players oneshot all old players and cant get killed and that is just 1 example i have 100`s. So i think they are doing this BS themself in order to "control" game in their favor.

Seeing this shit makes me glad I play Air almost exclusively (I also love Naval) , and Air Sim or Arcade at that, i have witnessed missile Spoofing hacks at the most in Arcade, and never seen suck things in Sim, Aim hacks dont work due to the nature of Air battles, Xray/Radar hacks just brings the hacker to me which is fine by me 😂 i dont need to go looking, but damn, it really does make me feel for you Ground players because these hacks actually have really meaningful effects, i really hope they do something about this for Y'all
