Couple of bits I got wrong- I mispronounce the 8,8cm Flak truck as '88cm' (Imagine!) The price of the captured IL-2 is 850, not 950, And the price of the Captured T-34 is 2,460, not 2,480

The Panzer III M does have a pretty big pro going for it : It looks *g o o d* Oh and it does also have smoke launchers. But the aesthetic are mroe important.

11:33 Speaking about the 88's time fuse shell, yes, dont use it against air. You can use it to shoot at opentops behind cover! Just rangefind the rock it's behind and shoot right over it, that will hurt a lot. I challenge you to make a video doing just that! Good luck, love your video.

About the Panzerwerfer ("Eet Verfs Panzers!") historically, it was meant for and used for massed rocket artillery strikes. In short, it's meant for area bombardment, not precision strikes at close range except as a last resort. So, it is, in fact, working as intended.

21:15 once in map 'Poland' the side skirts helped me absorb enemy shots though, i dont know how. But i took like 5 shots, and didnt die. Side skirts are pretty useful against weaker HEAT, HE, and enemy aircraft firing rockets, or bombs. But dont expect it will help against KV-2.

One stupid, but satisfying way to use the FlaK HE.... Enemy behind indestructible cover? He's a milk truck or something really open? Load HE, rangefind a point a little behind or side of cover, fire above the cover, if you aim well enough, the HE will explode close enough to have the shrapnel kill the crew

The addition of the MG on top of the Pz. III M improves its viability considerably, you can now engage enemy aircraft and light vehicles!

The skirts on the Pz III M have saved me from artillery shrapnel a couple of times, and they can also help quickly work out which direction you've been shot from if they get destroyed

I think you should manually be able to change the timer of the shells with manually adjusting for range. If i set my gun for 1500m then the fuse should set to that range. Using the rangefinder is a pretty dumb way of doing it because it's useless.

Hello, Oxy! I have two main suggestions: first, in the case of the StuH42 (and other vehicles) I think it may be worth differentiating between "penetration" and "post-penetration damage" instead of the catch-all term "firepower", to make it clearer where strengths and weaknesses lie. Additionally I'd like to point out that while the T-34 747 (r) is pricey in terms of GE it does show up in the warbond shop, which does make it obtainable for "free"; I'm thinking in terms of having playtime in on another nation's tree and earning warbonds from daily missions that way before jumping into Germany. Looking forward to the mid-tier videos, especially since though they are overall quite good I have mixed feelings about the Panthers (especially when having to fight British sabot), and I'm interested in what you have to say about them! Keep up the good work!

He forgot one weakness of the 88mm flak, that weakness is the huge ammunition storage box in the back. One shot at that and bam that enemy is really dead

Good lord, over an hour!? Oxy you madlad! Low tier Germany is honestly some of the most fun you can have in the game IMO, such a varied selection of vehicles. From open top Marders to the Stugs, Pz.III/IV's, Pumas, Flakbus... Let's not even talk about the various Ju-87;s, Hs-129's, Me-410's etc.

The spaced armor on the Pz.III M is much more effective now after the volumetric shell update. It certainly helps against the 105mm dep shermans, which seem to 1 hit kill every single tank with HE

You are right, explosive filler of and APPHE shell contributes to damage in a quite insignificant way except when it's counted in kilograms. Calliber is main factor to post pen damage. 100mm gun with 100g of TNT deals more damage than 90mm gun with 520g of TNT etc. Just the fact that APHE has more than 0g of TNT filler makes it deal it's great damage

Hey Oxy, I really like your videos. They're helpful and professional. I'd love to see a video that helps bad players like me with getting better with helpful tips and tricks. As a player who plays the game a little bit longer, but didn't get better over time, I'd like to see a video like your starters guide, but for players who have a basic idea of how to play the game, but they can't use this in a game of RB for example.

PZ III:s with extra armour are impervous to early MD5 fused shells, because they have like 0.1m fuse delay, so they detonate between extra plate and main armour. I have not played these low tier germans in years, so game mechanics might been changed since then. I took fighting T-34 & KV-1 tanks with J1 model as a challenge. I did learn their weakspots pretty easily and they were easily sent back to gulag. And when I got the extra armor versions, they were kinda trivial to deal.

when i started playing war thunder this video would have helped me get starter. i remember getting frustrater whit the panzer. GOOD GOD THAT i didn't stop playing war thunder then. whit out my patiens i wouldn't be at 10.0

who remembers the tank CBT days were the pzIII(MBT)'s add on armor was coded to auto deflect shells and could see reserve tanks? A short but sweet rein of terror matched only by the soviet self-propelled back hole, the t-50.

I've noticed that, occasionally, in the Pz IIIL and M that, under the right circumstances, Sherman shells will detonate between the spaced armor and body of the tank, leaving you unharmed. Being angled increases this chance a bit. I can't really recreate it in the armor view in the hangar, so take it with a massive grain of salt. Once had a sherman shoot 3 shells into me frontally with none doing any damage while I was trying to hit his weak points. Happened again somewhat recently too, so even after changing how penetration values are calculated it might hold true. I'd also say the speed and mobility of the Pz3's is a plus point. Max speed of about 30 Mph, with averages in the mid 20's across rough terrain is nice. They turn quite responsively, too.

21:18 yeah same I use the pz 4 skirts variant and it rarely saves me but its great against revenge bombs. If they drop the bomb to your side you will suffer less damage/no damage at all. But it really doesnt make any difference in base gameplay.

I think that Pz.3 L is a must have medium tank. If you angle your 75mm hull armour it will bounce anything, turret can take quite a bit of a punishment too

One thing of note with the Marder III, it has smoke shells while the H doesn't. This has saved me more than once, and while it's not a good enough advantage to justify taking it over the H variant, it is good to know.

StuG III F is great can confirm shells will bounce off the top and love the cannon

I will never stop being glad that I pushed myself to the point of getting a fever in order to get the money yeeeeaaars ago so that I could buy the German Sherman closed beta pack. One of the best tanks I have on my account. A nifty side effect it used to have is that people would often hold their shot for a split second because there weren't Shermans in every single tech tree once upon a time so that split second would cost everyone their tank.

Panzer III J1 and Panzer III J1 TD are both 2.7 since this video came out and work well in a 2.7 line up with the 2.7 Puma and 2.7 StuH 42 G or even Panzer IV F1 (2.3). Agree that when the Panzer III J1 was at 3.0 it was quickly out classed. The Panzer III L, M, and N make great line up at 3.0 along with a few 2.7 or 3.3 tanks to fill in the ranks if needed. Next great line up is at 4.0 with many captured tanks and Panzer IV H and Gs.

I think this is my fav tier. I like the match ups.

Great video. I actually prefer the Marder III over the H variant. The improvements are nice but rounds will actually start to detonate on the frontal armor whereas with the original variant many rounds pass through while doing minimal damage.

Agree on the most things. The Pz2H is a absolute must have imo. I absolutely love it and have it in my line up to 6.7. The only thing the Puma does better, is having some depression. Which is the only flaw it has. The Pz4F1 has some use, as in the short 75mm heat is the best thing to counter the heavy french armour.

I downloaded my Panzerwerfer a custom crosshair with range markings. That thing is quite fun once you can hit something with it. It's really fun in arcade, when you just use it as artillery.

The StuH is amazing, especially the C round. Recommend for grinding it up, play like an short ranged AT gun and get to the sides of other tanks

The StuG III F was my favorite vehicle in that tier back when I first started playing War Thunder, in spite of its weaknesses. Not really sure why, but I felt like I did consistently better with that one over the PzIV F2. I actually avoided the StuG III G entirely because it wasn't needed to unlock any other tanks in the tree. In fact, for similar reasons like that I didn't use any other tank destroyer until I got to the IV/70. Of course, I played Arcade back then (Realistic was an exercise in pointlessness), so that might have made the difference.

Actually took the Pz.III M into battle with my Tiger H1 as I didn't have any other higher tier tanks but for the F2. Managed to get a few long range kills on enemy tanks 2-3 tiers higher. Which felt as ridiculous as you can imagine. Just shot them in the side and for some reason there was pen, disabling and hammering till death did them apart.

I think the Panzer IV F1 was a very versatile tank as mobile cover. 8/10 games, the enemy were pushed out because they couldn’t aim through the smoke screen in front of them. But logistically, it’s an inherently inferior tank to the F2 variant. I just have fond memories for it. But the heavily under utilized smoke shots make a great shield to deny snipers and long distance fighters.

The panzer 3m is one of the best tanks you can use in SB if you know how to angle yourself nothing can pen you, i recomend going in brawling and shooting the weakspots of the enemy tanks. i promise you will have great results at the end of the match!

I really like the Panzer 3s they resently buffed high hardness armour making panzer 3 in my opinion great brawlers from 2.0 to 3.3. That plus a fast reload and a punchy enough gun and make you a real menace for your poor Soviet enemies

Right now Panzer IV H is at 3.7 and it also received a slight penetration buff few months ago(just like American 76 in 2019) and i’d say it’s kinda overpowered right know especially with add-on tracks.

the *piuma* No oxy, there's no 'i' in there, it's just 'puma'.

50:15 I have gotten 6 kills in the Panzer 2H at 6.3 and beat up Su-100s, T-34/85s, Centurions, Pt-76s, and Bulldogs with this tank. Back before the days of the LeKPz M41, this was the only light tank that Germany had besides the puma that wasn't overly expensive. Mobility allows it to remain competitive at higher battle ratings where everything becomes slower or is lightly armored enough for you to take out. Also, the tank's small size gives it the ability to hide where many of the larger german tanks wouldn't be able to.

Just a little thing about your aircraft and lineup suggestions in these videos. You always go with 3 tanks 1 SPAA and 1 Plane. I find that another viable pattern is 2 tanks 1 SPAA 1 Fighter and 1 Bomber/Attacker/Helicopter. This is in a way more SP cost efficient as picking a fighter does not increase the spawn cost of a bomber/attacker and vice versa. Not saying that its always THE BEST way to do it but it would be beneficial to discuss a viable fighter or 2 for lineups on these tiers even if they aren't the optimal CAS options, especially that sometimes the sky needs clearing before you can do CAS. For example in this spread a 109 could be useful as an option. A center-line 250kg bomb is relatively reliable and F2 in particular has the 15mm MG151 which can be used for top attacks against light and medium tanks. On 4.0 the F4 is quite handy as the 20mm is good against planes and if you don't have quite enough to spawn with a bomb you can take 15mm gunpods for free in a pinch and still do some work. Of course, ever since they revamped the spawn costs an all Tank/SPAA lineup is also viable

23:50 the Pz.4 got a br reduction, I believe it sits at 2.0 now but rank two and I’ve been using and I love it, I combined it with the sqeezy and that premium autocannon tank..and it’s very good. I also brough a He-112 the one with two cannons and it’s very nice.
