@@thefunnyguyfromtheburgerki3334 you have to set yourself up. Be weary of who's around. If a German is diving on you your best bet is to dive and run. There aren't many planes that can out run a P47. Once you do end up with the elevation advantage it's boom and zoom the whole time. Don't dog fight in it, Focus on energy retention and only make small turns. Aside from that i set my guns to 300 and it shreds everything for me out to 700-800.

Haha yeah, actually it was a challenge to make the text not blend in with anything, hence why I picked red in the beginning. White with black border is nice, hence why I stuck with that.

Eh it takes too long to get to a reasonable altitude, by the time you get to alt half your team will be dead.

No need to apologize. Back when this was video was made, it had a lower BR, airspawn, and longer WEP. I have nearly 10 KD in it. Now yeah you should fly D28 instead. If it's a Yak3VK certainly. If it's a normal Yak3, were you both going straight at top speed and he was catching you?

D28 is a better deal for the BR now for sure.

That tail warning radar only did a few hundred meters, it wouldn't be much use in WT.

You should get into RB, kills are much more satisfying.

Haha even compared to the undertiered P51D30 the P47N is better, it can easily be 0.3 higher than the D30.

It is slow accelerating, it's one of its weaknesses indeed.

do you have a set ‘n forget? for p47s in general i use 100% prop pitch and 35% radiators

@@bees8328 I highly recommend 85% PP, 0% rads and 90% mixture on all P47s, you don't overheat and you have better performance.

Airspawn, great roll, great guns, sturdy. Its low acceleration is its biggest weakness, so you need to be able to judge who can catch you and keep the required distance to escape, and I'm good at that. My aim with 50 cals is quite good too.

Optimal climb angle is complicated, it varies with altitude. The best way to climb efficiently is at constant IAS speed (270km/h IAS is a good starting point for most aircraft).

Favorite German is Ta152H yeah. With Axis team win rates, it doesn't come down to that bad of a cost.

Probably not, D28 is better at a lower BR.

Not sure what you mean by that. P47 will get outturned by most enemies in a dogfight, P51 is about average in that regard.

I think there was a small nerf, but mainly the removal of airspawn.

No prop in WT does 30 degrees/s in a sustained turn in WT haha. High speed turn is limited by how strong the pilot is to be able to deflect the elevators, while low speed turning is limited by the wing loading (mass/wing area) and maximum lift coefficient).

Option 2 (which also works on the computer that runs WT): -Type Your_IP_Address:8111/ where you replace "Your_IP_Address" by your IP Address (192.168.X.XXX) in the address bar and press enter and voila, you can look at the characteristics on another device while flying.

It was much better when it had an airspawn haha. Now you're better off using D28.

P51 has the same drag coefficient in the WT data files as on Wikipedia (0.0161).

That's not how laminar flow works, and it's on par with the K4 (check out my MER spreadsheet in the description).

Adam514 which is incorrect. The p-51s wings in real life are not even close to the same kind of wings as the k4. Remember this wing design would come into its own on jet fighters. It should not outperform the k4 straight up. But they should fly much more differently. Gaigin has never considered its effects. The p-51 is the only world war 2 aircraft with this wing design. Which is a thin leading edge on the wing root. Laminar flow is just the name of the wing design. Not to be confused with the fluid dynamics meaning. Gaigin has done a notably poor job is properly representing the American fighters details overall. The f-100 is missing how much thrust???

You should WEP to climb for sure. Fly D28 instead of N though, much better.

Airspawns aren't random, some planes have them all the time and some planes don't have them. All P47s used to have airspawn 2-3 years ago.

D28 definitely better. N without the airspawn is a struggle.

Airspawn is worth 0.3 BR or so, so yeah they could remove it and it would be closer to how the P51D30 in effectiveness at 4.7 BR.

Below 85% P47s aren't at their maximum power simply.

It used ti be significantly better, with an airspawn. Energy retention now isn't good though, but it does perform well at altitude. Around 280 IAS.

I mean making use of its outstanding high altitude performance, which I didn't even need to do to destroy all those Germans. I fought them at medium to low altitude on more than even footing.

It would also seem that I can't get one kill if any at all without being killed myself. The fact it's almost bone stock doesn't help, but it's a P47. Seems I can't do much but waste a good fighter spot for the team.

Stat cards are misleading, don't base yourself on them. Indeed P47s are outturned by most of what they face.

Fly the D28, it's significantly better. This was good back when it had airspawn. Don't need to use turbo, leave it automatic.

Yeah, I don't see that happening, unless of course the 47s on your team are stock, or near stock. I have been beat in the climb a lot in the 47. Then again, stock syndrome.

The covered info is in the box, this way it maximizes free space. Plus having all the stats in one place makes it ergonomic ;).

I could put it a bit to the right so that it doesn't cover Speed and Throttle, would that be better?

How do you get the info on your client? I can use a browser but not sure how to use it as a HUD.

I edit it in when editing the video for the viewers' sake. If you have a laptop/an extra screen, you can look at it while flying (that's what I do).

My squadmates say that Stealth sparks more. In my opinion Universal deals the same damage as Stealth but you get 1/5 tracers to help you aim and that's the perfect amount of tracers.
