Even if people don’t find the Chinese tech tree very interesting, I see this as an opportunity for new player to try many nation at the same time. Like, you can’t decide between USSR, USA or Japan? Why not all of them!
General Derp Scout This is normal, but it is worth noting that the War Thunder is a game about World War II. The Asian battlefield is more like the extent of the World War 1, so there are almost no armored units in China. Chinese military industry is steadily improving. We start with maintenance and then copying. It began to break out in the 1990s. You can't deny that China is currently the second country in the world for military research and development, because the military is very consuming human and material resources.
China was in a complete state of war and was plagued with other things, such as warlordism. They had practically no ability or reason to come up with their own tank or aircraft design since they either couldn't really afford to or foreign vehicles were simply better.
One reason I like the Chinese tech tree is because instead of going through a ton of very similar planes, each research point completed is something entirely new.
Yeah, at least until they hit the Cold War era and then they finally got into the Military game. That's explains why up until recent history, they just bought and repainted stuff lol.
Me, 2019: hahaha China funny copy paste nation! Me, now: I really like how it cares to emphasize how the nationalists and communists had different WW2 vehicles, and how the vehicles of the 1950’s onward are communist vehicles as china’s industrial base is born. China is still fun to play in my opinion, and it’s unfair to just belittle them as copy-paste only.
Nothing I love more than those woodwinds at the beginning. That very brief sound evokes imagery of Communist propaganda, and Communists sneaking around the countryside and mountains during WW2 and the Civil War, whereas the later orchestral swells brings upon a sense of sprawling vastness that reminds one of the various Chinese empires and civilizations (but in this case, the PRC and Taiwan.) Whoever composed this was a genius.
I don’t think those are woodwinds. They sound more like violins to me. Cause violins are an oddly common Chinese instrument despite not originating in china. Point still stands though
@@TokenChineseGuy Yeah from the beginning to right before the french horns start coming in with the melody, it starts out with violas / violin 2’s and then moves into violin 1s
You actually can experience 5 nations tank which is Franch, Soviet, US & UK in Israel tech tree and lastly their domestic tank Chariot (Merk v), Namer etc.
Everybody here is talking about how the Chinese tech tree is just copying the other teams, but I think we're all forgetting about China in World of Warplanes... Every single plane in the tree is just a plane from a different faction completely unchanged yet premium.
From what I've heard, World of Warplanes is absolute garbage (But I've heard World of Warships and World of Tanks are good.), so I could see something like that happening.
@@billybot3000 world of warplanes is actually really good imo, it's just totally different than war thunder. Most people go in just expecting a war thunder clone rather than treating it like it's own game.
I've been playing the m64 from the chinese tree ever since I unlocked it on the battlepass. I have cureently grinded the lethal and very effective ZSD63 and T-34 gai to go with it as well as the P-47 D30. Currently grinding the chinese IS-2 to finish my 5.7 br lineup. I never thought in a million years that my first br 5.7 lineup would be on the chinese tree lol, but here we are.
@@विनितकुमार-य5ढ Don't forget, as if the lineup isn't OP enough, you could also bring fuckin' P-47 thunderbolts for CAS. Absolutely balanced +42000社会点数
To all of the commentators saying that China's tech tree is copied from others: Do your research and pay attention to history classes. Ever since the Qing Dynasty, the Chinese have imported western models in order for them to fight back against the invasion of the other western (and some eastern) countries. They had neither the resources, or time to come up with their own design. It was not until after their civil war (after WW2), had China come up with their own models for their own military tech. They were too busy and had invasions in every corner.
As a Chinese player,I think of the history of my country when I listen to this music. If you say China tech tree has lots of copy, that‘s true. Because during WW2 and Cold War age,China had no ability to develop and research its own military equipment, until we “stole” a T-62 from brother soviet (haha) and cooperate with the US tech support team. Funny story, but true.
In the Chinese tech tree my favorite rank 2 plane is the ki61. If you have the plane with all modifications, you can equip air target ammo and if you are good at controlling the plane, you can even take down spitfires.
I would say this is the best theme music among all the tech trees!!! Love it!!! It reminds me of the heroes of our nation during the WWII, from KMT, CPC, USA, Germany and Canada, those who fight against the invaders selflessly and bravely.
@@antoninodelavega lol, that is true, USSR, but I can't recall any other counbtries. Germans gave us military trainnings and weapons, you can see some Chinese soldiers wearing German halmets. Americans gave us military supplies, medicines, oil and etc. USSR gave us weapons and helped us defeat Japanese in northestern of China. The mojority of the support came from these three conutries
every time i hear this part 0:40 i imagine how Jackie Chan turns the light in some dark hangar somewhere and light show the room full of Chinese Tanks)
China’s theme kinda makes me wish they would do a rework of Japan’s music in game. Doesn’t need to be a complete one that adds a whole new rhythm, more of just new layers of instrumentals. Mainly because China’s music perfectly hits the balance of traditional elements mixed in with the brass and orchestra associated with modernization. While Japan’s music is the only one out of all the nations to have no orchestra and be almost entirely traditional, and not even in a good way. As it uses some Chinese instruments in said music. The Japanese favored rapid modernization, and if you know about Battotai and under songs then, this applied to music. A mix of modernization and tradition, that’s what this theme captures for China in a way that I wish Japan had something of its own to have.
@@justacat2 That’s a pretty good one. It has the idea I was going for so it’s definitely a decent example. Another example are things like the Japanese battle themes for Battlestations Pacific
;u;7 this music just makes me think of the Flying Tigers more than anything. I'm a sucker for tigers, and I feel I'm a tiger at heart....... if any of that makes a lick of sense. XP This music is just so epic. Heroic.
"china, A diverese nation full of unqiue tanks from different nations. most of which were captured and some were lend lease" "over the years and through the 60's. they began building domestic tanks based off the T-54/55 chasis, known as the Type 59. as the years went on they would go on to build more different tanks to compete against the USSR and western built weapons"
Considering the China Tech Tree is a union of ROC/PRC/Taiwan (with some premium North Korea/Bangladesh vehicles) then its a good move. It shows China is not focused on one or the other, its about all China itself.
Most underrated country in war thunder in my opinion. Has one of the best tanks in the game. Also very impressive SPAA and Jets. Also best soundtrack in war thunder
**Coronavirus intensifies** But fr tho, I hope this doesn’t get worse in China. They are trying damn hard to reform their ways and now it seems likely they are going to be set back quite far.
+5000 social credit score Jokes aside I'm really waiting for to start the Chinese tech tree, I'm just too busy doing others right now. The only thing that disappoints me are the low tier copies, other than that I really love the Type 59, which I also had in WoT. I've always found Chinese tanks interesting, they're like a "what if" alternative timeline of Soviet tank designs. Too bad most of their prototypes have been scrapped and their designers killed eventually.
I don't mind it being copy paste for a while, some of line up aren't bad at all. 3.7 for example M10, T-34, and M4A4. Love the high tier mbt design/look though
Driving around drifting in a m 18 hellcat eliminating every tiger in sight be like 1:03 POV you capture every point save your team and are behind enemy lines 1 shotting tigers 1:19
In my honest opinion, THIS... is the coolest menu music, especially at 0:29 and whenever it sounds like the Avengers and those SUPER JUUUUICCY lowwww brASSSS HITS-awhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, SO damn juuuuicy
