The crazy thing is, IMO warrior FEELS more powerful than DRK. I feel like I can tank anything with WAR... (Maybe because of self healing) but I like both equally.
@@celuiquipeut6527 Well the trademark of DRK (since the job in FFIII and Cecil in FFIV) is more their Darkness ability where they sacrifice some HP to do a big hit rather than leech who is one of their weapon who giver them the ability
@@celuiquipeut6527 Trademark of DRK in FF is to sacrifice HP to deal damage. The fact that it's a tank doesn't really make much sense. It wasn't a tank in 11. Prob the only reason it's a tank in 14 is for role balance/
I was doing a similar test recently between DRK and PLD. Gap seemed much smaller than I expected. I can only guess that the gap shown in raid content is due to DRK being able to burst hard during buff windows.
Honestly the gap is slightly closed even with an unoptimized rotation. I wanted to ask are you posting A or N DPS for these? Mainly because of this is nDPS the gap doesn't seem to hVe changed much.. about 150dps which is good but not great... Figured I'd ask. Also you've earned my subscription for these vids. Keep up the good work.
Its just DPS, as there is no other party member affecting it. However, there is a slight gap still as DRK utilizes the 30 second buff window slightly better than Warrior does. So the difference gets bigger than this result here, whenever other people are around
@@DesperiusFFXIV Gotcha, and yea I figured as much but wanted to check on the general power gap with said data. Yea so until they add potency to Primal Rend and Inner Chaos the buffs aren't fully landing the impact.
We need to leach life. Thats what we need. DRK usually leech 10% of the damage they do. I'b be happy to be leechin 3% constantly. And yeah. More dps. Lol always more dps.
@@saidalsinaidi8776 I simply jist played it from lvl 30 to 90. If you ever bought a lvl skip, go in Palace of the dead. They will give you your skill gradually, but fairly quickly. Its the best way to learn a new job IMO.
War is standard. DRK is a delirium prepull opener for you have no way to trigger TBN with a dummy. Would need to watch it again but i guess it is Omnitank so 2.50 GCD. EDIT: forgot about these shit gloves. Must be a strange 2.48 i guess? Yikes
This war rotation is pretty bad, lol, and drk you only need to not overcap mp and blood, many moments you are just spamming, and when the 2m burst window arrives, you gonna be doing just 1-2-3 combo.
Aesthetically I'm ok with both DRK and GNB doing more damage than Warrior. The former sacrifices survivabilty for damage (here MP which could be used for shields used on damage skills) and the GNB has a gun attached to a sword :D I just think the gap is TOO large.
Wow, now if they bring it back to 500 like it was before nerfing it, WAR might actually be viable again. I want to be happy for the buffs, but instead I feel kinda fudging stupid for paying 15pmonth just to get back where we were a year ago. Even all these months later no one could logically explain to me the reason behind nerfing crit-direct hit WSs. Not a single person made mathematical or logical sense with the nerf explanations. Now we have SAM, WAR and MCH with potencies that almost negate the nerfs. And even after all this the jobs still aren't balanced. Took almost a year slowly crawling foward from completely unnecessary 2 steps backward 😑. I wonder if they will give WAR fracture again...thank you btw.
We aren't back where we were a year ago? The potency changes and nerfs were to accommodate the stat squish. What's more none of these buffs matter since the door boss was nerfed. Sam changes were hardly potency related, Much and Brd had the ranged tax removed. War is being brought up to try an even the field which it really needs the buffs on primal rend and inner chaos instead of the 1-2-3. What's more there was no nerf to Crit-dj WSs. You are blasting off with nothing and not paying attention to a single thing that has happened.. especially since they just changed like a patch back auto DH and auto Crit skills to scale off your chance increases.. what are you even talking about? This video is seeing how the buffs affected WAR and comparing it to DRK... Checking how the gap has changed.. not to be a spot to rant about nonsense that's is from what I'm reading... 50% incorrect. Hell the problems with War really arose when this door boss was near unclearable with any lack luster classes.
@@Frostbyte115 im talking about pointless potency decreases that mathematically did not calculate to anything but the unbalanced state we were enduring...not ranting about door bosses and everything else you assumed I was speaking on. And just like then, (almost a year ago) why were the potencies of abilities reduced, just to bring them back? Stat squish and potency decrease is mathematically unjustified now.
