First I will say beautiful plane and great job on the flight, it looked flawless and very smooth. Do you use a gyro on this plane or does she fly that smooth without? I was actually contemplating getting this plane myself, I’ve always loved the P47 over all of the other warbirds, there is something about the shape of the wing that makes it stand out as my favorite. I see you used the Saito60, do you think the Saito 90 would fit without cutting the cowl to Swiss cheese or is the plane maxed out with the 60? What kind of speed do you get from this bird?
Thanks alot, I fly with gyros on all my planes except on my gliders. Although this flight the gyro did not do anything as there was no wind blowing 😁👍. I'd say that the 60 flies it just fine but on the lower end of power, a 90 would be perfect but would not fit inside the cowl, unless you widen it a little, it would not take much. If I ever need to change the engine I will widen the cowl slightly and go for the 90. It's not a fast plane like the p51 but it lands like a trainer...a no frills warbird 👍
Thanks, my 73 was dropping the two lower cylinders on full throttle, But have now done the intake mod from Morris, have not tried it yet but hopefully that will take care of it.
@@MrJpriton buddy, I make this hobby since 42 years own many many warbirds, so I know from what I'm talking, please dont tell me anything about flying warbirds like a teacher, thank you😉
@@WarbirdPiLOT yes true, but a FG 90 will work much better, you see that for example by the TopRC Fw190 with the FG90. Yes its fly with the FG90, but with the Moki 180 its fly like a real powered warbird especially the pull figures😉 btw your P 47 is the P-47D 25-RE Version. The Original flys over 700km/h in diving around 840km/h so its a really fast plane one of the fastest single fighter in 2 WK😉
