Hi there. Thanks for the comment and the encouragement. However, I suspect you are looking at the 2nd Edition rule book; this game video was filmed before that came out.
I am not a fan of the new shooting rule. 3 of the 4 grand alliances probably wouldn't care if they hit their own fighter. I would prefer it getting redine as you hit your own fighter on a 1-2. Maybe crit on a 1 and hit on a 2-3 (if a 3 is a miss). That would put a penalty for sooting into combat without banning it, which is probably inaccurate.
