Primary Frostbite arcane is made for this weapon. On cold proc +multishot (more chance for reds) and +CD (for harder hitting reds) and I think ramp up is a bit faster compared to Merciless as it needs procs and not kills. Match made in heaven I would say 🙂
@@redmdlee in my experience I tried to mod for zero status mods on it and valence formation crit but barely, you'd want to trigger other statuses as well so with status mods and galvanized multishot+valence it occasionally just covers the screen in red because each separate instance crits (hunter munitions as well OOF)
@@redmdlee more status=more procs= more crits. The extra procs is the main thing though, combine this with lavos and 2 green shards and you're shreding anything with armor easily. Added bonus for the damage boost
Indeed, and we can just imagine ourselves how much of a damage boost certain warframes can give through abilities, like a Mirage with Eclipse and Shooting Gallery, would make a weapon with 100 damage suddenly do around 1100 damage no problem and to top it off, the extra little damage from the doppelgangers
You need to try this on Zephyr; you get basically guaranteed Red Crits when shooting into her Tornados, plus they double Critical Damage. Lavos with his new Valence Formation augment and its forced status procs would also be good for this gun.
If you are already getting crits then the unique ability of this gun is having no impact as it only upgrades non-crits a small % of the time - may as well use something else in that case!
@@wbunnage The guaranteed Crits come from the gun's unique trait synergizing with the Tornadoes. When a weapon procs a status effect on a Tornado, all enemies in the Tornado get that proc. If you have 7 enemies in your Tornadoes, that 15% chance on status to get a Red Crit on the next shot becomes nearly guaranteed and then your Crit Damage is doubled.
This thing is insanely fun with Zephyr. For those who don't know, her tornadoes DOUBLE crit damage, on top of basically making any single target weapon aoe.
Such a nice feeling to be able to skip out entirely on Crit Chance on a basic rifle like this, and still get Red Crits. The raw Puncture means it has another way to gain Crit Chance aside from its passive, and building Cold just makes a ton of sense, granting further Crit Damage and the utility of the slow. Plus, Primary Frostbite is fun to mess around with. I need to pick myself up a nice Riven for this someday.
Hello mister RU-vid man sir! So, Gotva Prime. That rifle is a blast to play with (pun may be intended). I run two Hybrid (I'm kind of a crit junkie even when it's not needed) setups both Corrosive-Cold and Viral (I don't remember if it's Hunter Munition or Heat). It slays in most missions I use it in. It's fun! A fun and interesting video as per usual! Keep up the great work and take care!
Crit Chance is still a good option, because with the puncture (25% extra crit) and Critial delay you get to 97% crit chance, wich is a constant source of yellow crits with the same occasional red crit from the passive
I got it and saw other youtubers trash it. I really liked the way it feels so I decided to work on it. I actually put on the same build in this video. It's now one of my top 3 guns. I run it with Hydroid, throw out some armor strip and then shred!

Love these just 'fun' builds for weapons that are not meta but still fun. I know you get many comments but was wondering if you would take a look into the Balefire Charger (Hildryn's 1st ability)? Feel this is overlooked because low crit and status. But it has no fall off AND goes through walls, plus base damage can be pretty high (Since it scales off power strength and blast range scales off range) PLUS the mods on the weapon itself. With Hildryn's natural armor strip I think it could be a 'fun' build I never see used. Anyways, if you do read this THANKS :) Keep up the awesome videos!
Ah yes nothing like Funny Internet Man goofing around with le funny builds on weapons for my work break. Love this format of vids, more fun than the Weapon Encyclopedia imo and makes wanna play around with different weapons more. Also think you could use this form of "experimental build testing" on like Frames too? Idk this kind of vid just makes me wanna try out and experiment with stuff
This, the Braton and the Aeolak (even tho it has a grenade launcher feature) are my "go to" for good looking simple pewpew rifles. The Argonak is a good one too. Even tho it's a lil bit ugly.
I run a similar build to the corrosive cold one, using the arcane that gives cd and Ms for cold procs to add more chances for big numbers. It's probably not as good as merciless but I enjoy it
You want the cryo to be the dual stat as if not running cc mods on gotva you really want to bump up the status chance more for the cosistency of the perk , also hot take here , plated rounds actually fits exceptionally well for upkeep of galv stacks etc between that and frost bite if rocking cold
put the full vigilante set on your sentinel and gotva goes next level... also hunter munitions is not worthed, but instead go corrosive heat, high status, and the trait will do the trick, for the arcane i like to go primary dext since i usually play long runs with my Nezha if you go hunter munitions you have to pump up the crit chance and youll lost slots there, but is valid as well for viral i guess
If you like running Cold against Acolytes and other hard targets, please consider putting +damage on the weapon itself instead of the Arcane slot so you can run Primary Frostbite! 90% multishot and 120% crit damage on Gotva Prime can do a lot more work than something like Merciless.
10x crit damage is great on its own, but then you get 30x-40x most of the time anyway and I absolutely love that Those status changes can't come any sooner
I will say, with this gun the new damage numbers lie to you due to how it works with big critical numbers, a lot of your non crit hits get shafted for it. You still get a lot of red crits but it just hides some of the lower ones
I LOVE boring assault rifles in this game, kuva karrak is my every mission carry. enough damage to do everything in the game, and just so satisfying to use.
@MCGamerCZ could i interest you in doing a guide on how to mod melee-weapons? I mean for heavy and light attack setups. When and why is a weapon good for heavy attacks or why not? What doyou build for on those weapons? Maybe in like 4 categories? Kinda like: Heavy attack on status focused weapons, same on crit focused weapons and light attacks on heavy or crit focused weapons. Its a topic i think about a lot buti feel like i'm never really getting it right. And i do t wanna watch a deep-dive explanation for every single weapon before i use it. I wanna know how this stuff works. Just a suggestion, would be lovely❤
Personally I am not a fan of the weapon I don’t really like aiming (as most of the time by the time I have aimed the thing has been killed by my sentinel or a teammate) I’m more of a shooting from the hip player especially with how fast we are moving around most of the time it’s why I like the plasmor’s look look in the direction of the bad guy pull the trigger and no more bad guy I swear that the plasmor’s are actually teleporters and someone mistook them for a gun (there’s just this mass of body’s floating in orbit after each mission, pop oh look another one just appeared).

For Future Reference... Test your Weapons using *CLASSIC DAMAGE NUMBERS* TLDR: The UI is Lying To You. 😳 The *Gotva Prime* isn't Red Critting All the Time... The Enhanced Damage Numbers setting is Just Hiding the Instances where it's Not criting (you can Read this In The Patch Notes and the Dev Workshop). So yeah..... But since the Build still Works... Who Cares ! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Im curious what you'd do with Onos. Personally, its my new favourite weapon and with the Punchthrough setup on its upgrades, can onetap a 220 Acolyte with the incarnons final hit lol And by one tap, i do mean that literally. Shield and all, it just gets deleted lol.
You may want to put a Primary Frostbite on it, since you're using Primed Cryo Rounds. At rank 5, it adds 120% crit damage and 90% multishot upon cold proc, and it's even pretty damn easy to get. Conjunction Survival on Lua, bought from Archmedian Vonta or whatever her name is.

A very common mistake in today's era, a lot of people confuse the possessive with contractions. I'd like to teach you that, in English, we would not use an apostrophe there. The lack of apostrophe "its" turns it into the possessive which is what you actually meant while "it's" is a contraction of "it is".
Gotva prime is the best single target weapon right now cuz it feels the best and is actually strong, add in one single punch through mod and you now have a corridor clearing rifle
Did someone test out if primary frostbite is any good for this gun? Seems like a nice fit but i still have to farm more conjunction survival to test it out.
I fell in love with this gun when I got it last Baro visit, it's an absolute laser and the damage on it is really good with such a nice fire rate. I don't have hammer shot so I'm running Primed Shred for the punch through and fire rate, and this thing chews through enemies surprisingly quickly. Galvanized Chamber, Galvanized Aptitude, Primed Shred, Primed Cryo Rounds, Malignant Force, Vital Sense, Radiated Reload and Hunter Munitions, plus Vigilante Supplies... it's a joy to just aim down a hallway and mag-dump and watch everything get sawed in half.
The ever elusive Hammer Shot... I've been using this gun for quite a good bit since Baro came 'round. Been trying to get this mod since I've unlocked damn nightmare mode so folks, I think it's worth the **shudders** 60 plat for this fun gun Edit: last i checked lowest was 65 but NOPE it's basically a 100
