Hm, just realized that the Primaris Aggressor cards are actually depicting the Primaris Captain in Gravis Armor. This means two things: 1. Someone at Wizkids wasn't paying attention. 2. I'm a nerd.
Tom, for those hard to read translucent dies, I've found it useful to get some different colored Fine-Point Sharpies and go over the stats / symbols with them. It makes the numbers completely visible and differentiated the dice well!
7:53 That Bolter Drill Basic Action Card has the wrong artwork on it. It's a reimagining of the original Rogue Trader cover that depicts the last stand of the Crimson Fists, a successor chapter of the Imperial Fists of Rogal Dorn that has nothing to do with this battle. Grave error there, I hope Dice Masters noticed that and a couple of other wrong pics used in other cards.
Dice Masters has one huge flaw to me, it's 1v1, why not 2v2 or free for all x players, like Magic the Gathering ? We alsmost exclusively play multiplayer games only. They should really get on this, i really do think they'd sell more because of it.
Whoever thought that slashing that big black with white outline copyright text on the side of the card, rid on the illustration needs to be fired. That thing should have been at the bottom of the card, like every other card game in existence.
So this is a stand alone game, but you have to get extra dice. So if I want to try dice masters for the first time this will not be enough? Why the seal of approval?
Also very relevant for more competitive players. I could see some characters (1-cost Poxwalker for sure!) being worth including 4 of in high-level teams. It's not a necessity, but not having it is an annoyance for sure.
This is a typical Games Workshop tactic which is present in all of their products. It’s just a thinly veiled attempt to get you to spend more money. I know this is published by whizzkids & not GW but I’m not surprised to hear that this approach has been adopted here.
That makes sense (and could explain some max 5 characters in the team packs; that is a pain). Wizkids has also been adopting a similar approach recently in Dice Masters though; if you look at the Avengers Infinity Campaign Box, they did the same thing there.
