I love my doomhammer. Just got it a little bit ago. I fight a lot of MEQ's, lot of big stuff to liquify. The thing is like Ivan Draggo, Whatever it hits, it destroys. Magnus the Red will fill his loincloth. I think that puddle used to be Angron... If I find the need, I can pull the magma cannon tip out , and bam different tank. The TW heavy flamer x4 only do so much good when everyone is too terrified to go anywhere near it. The bolters generally give a better "damage on target"
You know...for a group who dont like "invention" they are very happy to shift equipment and switch the gear they do have around. They may be going forward at the pace of a newborns crawl but at least they use everything they do have.
It's kinda hilarious how assbackwards the lore for the Banehammer is, given that such subterranean explosives were initially designed to overcome large reinforced structures as well as bridges and aqueducts. Because it doesn't matter how massive the structure is, if it's foundation shifts it's walls will crack and crumble.
