I've started to cry when I saw this Empire army - Shadow of the HR and Dark Omen were competly magical experience when I was a teenager. There was no chance to collect any warhammer armies in the late 90 in Poland - the cost was gargantuan comparing with salary - but this games were a food for imagination. Few years later I've started collecting my first Empire army and played the 6edition ! Now have 6 different armies, over 1000 models, dozens of great memories and this channel which feeds them with every battle. Thank you bro!
God i loved shadow of the horned rat! Even though i was a bit too stupid as a child to get any far. It what cemented my love for the skaven, the intro when the two assassins kills the wizard is forever lodged in my mind!
From the FAQ: I have two units attacking two enemy units all embroiled in a single combat. During the combat one of my units wiped out the only enemy unit which it was in base to base contact with. Does my unit still count as being in combat, or is it free to act independently in subsequent turns? All units involved in a combat are subject to combat resolution and resulting Break tests. However, if a unit is no longer in contact with the enemy due to the elimination of the only enemy unit it was in contact with, it does not count as being in combat in subsequent turns and thus can charge, shoot, be shot at, and so on. Wow! Grayson seemed a top bloke, but learned what most kids of the 90’s did - never play Shadow of the Horned Rat on “hard mode”, which is the only explanation I can give when trying to explain his dice rolls…. What a brilliant army and so generous of him to donate it to the channel (hope we can see it again soon)! Impossibile to fight the dice gods and an opponent, but it would’ve been interesting if he marched his archers out of the woods to trigger your fanatics earlier in the game, when your army was still bunched up and hampered by the swamp. What did you think of your list without the Black Orcs?
Dark omen was my absolute jam as a kid, and this army has been one I’ve thought about building for decades 😅 along with a classic metal dogs of war army, a few grudgebringer regiments is my dream force. Well done grayson and great game guys!!
There's so much Warhammer content out there just now with the launch of The Old World. And a lot of it is fascinating in many ways. I enjoy the endless discussion of what's good/bad about the new game, dragon-hammer, line-hammer, skirmishers, the different lists etc but on some level a lot of it is a bit neither here nor there to me until I can actually play and even then some of it is worthless even if it feels compelling just now. This was the perfect antidote though. So much to like. 1. The lists - The Empire are infantry, cavalry and artillery with a couple of low level wizards - great! Nobody's on a Griffon etc. Orcs and Goblins army is all Orcs and Goblins with some trolls, just doing their stuff as an old-fashioned O&G army should. Not a Black Orc/Savage Orc/Wyvern/Mangler Squig/Giant Spider Monster/Squig hopper etc in sight. Just the proper basic stuff with some fanatics and trolls for fun, not a pick and mix from the sweet shop like so many armies are these days. Magnificent. 2. The armies - both beautiful. 3. The game - totally crazy so perhaps not interesting tactically in the way games can be, but so much stuff just happened. Really great fun. 4. Both players' attitudes. 5. Grayson's generosity at the end - what can you say. In some ways I wish the outrageous dice rolls hadn't happened as Grayson deserved a lot more luck, but they did make it what it was. Had to feel sorry for him when even what the dice did let him achieve then backfired as having sent Stos' left flank packing the boarboyz then rallied and teleported across the table to wreck any plans he could have had. And that rocklobber that was better than the best of runed up grudgethrowers. Was sad that the fanatic at the end probably denied us another turn, but can't argue that it wasn't in keeping with what before. Thanks a lot to both of you, really enjoyed the whole thing. This game is so good when it's like this.

Haven't watched it all, so if it gets corrected later... well boo to me. But turn 1 for OcG: - Wolf riders: Fast Cav only allows ONE free reform each turn. So you'd have to either be deployed in some sort of line or else finish turn one in some sort of line, in order to dodge the woods. - Hand of Gork: They can only move if they are able to charge, so for night goblins, they'd been to be within 8 inches of their target enemy unit in order to get the CHANCE to move. The spell didn't go off, but it looks like they were well out.
A class act from Grayson at the end there. What a moment! That battle was great to watch too, two properly nostalgic armies and so many insane dice rolls throughout. Awesome to see you still producing 6th ed content my man. Keep these videos coming!

Fantasic game, Amazing to see the Empire army from Dark Omen. Small rules mistake that could have affected the subsequent magic phase. Fleeing troops (Orc Big Uns) at start of turn cause panic tests within 4". Looked like they were within 4" of a mage and potentially a spear chukka as well.
Stoked to finally see some Empire on the channel! But it's even cooler to see that incredible act of generosity. Grayson is truly a hobby hero! I have to ask, are those STL files available for purchase anywhere? I'd love the chance to paint up a Captain Bernhardt & Co.
Great game! The newly fresh painted army curse played a big role here lol. Loved to see Empire in your channel, i hope you can make it with your own Empire project and show us more of those brave humans holding against all enemies. I might be wrong, but shouldn't the shaman and the spearchucker had to check for panic when the biggens and the army general were fleeing close to them at the start of the turn?

Army from Dark Omen? Great idea! I appreciate creativity and style. But I have two comments: You forget about the extra magic dices from the fighting orcs... again ;) This is a huge difference and gives you an extra power. Against save 1+/2+ (cavalry) trolls should vomit.
Here, we play that when there is a unit that is out of the combat, we are excluding them. So, the other way around. The logic is that when they are out, their battle is finished.
When you fail rally attempt, you don't continue running the same way you were running before, nor do you always run towards your own table edge. Instead the unit runs towards the closest table edge. If it is not obvious which table edge is the closest one, you have to actually measure which one it is. In the case of the rallying wizard, it would have turned towards the camera right table edge, and with a roll of 10 probably be out.

Wizard should have fled to the nearest table edge (so would have been gone) - but given what a run of bad luck the poor lad was having I'd have let him flee back towards his board edge too.

does the lone flagelant still get +2 for being in the rear? i thought unit strength only mattered for breaking ranks, not for achieving a flank or rear bonus. i was so gutted when is put down his sword at turn 5.. i was ready to see the cannon go right through the flank of those pesky boar boys. Great to see a game back on the best 6th ed channel :)
Great game as usual. I do not have 6th edition rules, but on the infamous animosity check does the failed animosity check and subsequent march move not count as their movement for that turn?
I think that is a múltiple combate, until It ends with the combate resolution. Later turns, trolls and biguns are free, and only the orc warriors are in combate against the imperial
